Got this laptop for my sister. She can't stay off of it and hasn't complained so far so it must be great

I really like this computer. I am still in the process of transferring info from old machine but I do like the feel, not nearly as thick as old one. And, battery charges very quickly.

Picked it up. Brought it home. Started it up. Completely black screen. Couldn't do a thing with it. Wrapped it up. Took it back. Computer techs at best buy couldn't get anything to show up. Asked and received refund. Left store.

I Would highly recommend this computer. The only problem I have is with the Geek Squad.

I got this for my daughters birthday. She loves it!

For an off-brand, this machine is superb. Windows 7, no spyware, bloatware, or snoop/tattleware. Fast performance, great screen. All in all, worth every cent.

Received the laptop ahead of schedule -- thanks! It meets the specs I needed and works wonderfully well.

JUST WHAT I WANTED. IT'S SLEEK AND STYLISH AND LOVE THE COLOR

I had a Toshiba Satellite that is still going after 5 years with a few issues that made me a little nervous so I wanted to replace it before I had to and lost everything on it in the process. I also did NOT want Windows 8. In my search for a laptop that still had 7, I found this Acer. We have used Acer in the past without problems and the hard drive is huge, so I jumped. This laptop is super light. The red of the case is a deep dark color...gorgeous, if that matters to you. I was tired of black and silver. The battery held a charge when I had it unplugged yesterday for a long time. Set up was quick and easy. And it has Windows 7! The keyboard is a little noisy and some of the keys feel a little chinsy. The touch pad is either too big or too sensitive. The side of my hand rests on it sometimes when I'm typing and will make the screen scroll. That's my biggest complaint and not even really a complaint, just annoying. For the money, this seems like a decent laptop. I've only had it a week but I don't think it is going to be the work horse my Toshiba was, but who knows.

I bought this computer over a year ago to use for work purposes only and it's been great.

I like the way it set up and perform. It dose an excellent job for my purpose.

Much lighter & more efficient than my old one. Very pleased.

Bought this computer to use as a work computer could not be happier

After reading other reviews I leaned toward this laptop. Not at all what I expected. Keyboard is for a beginner with the keys spread out, very slow and you'll have to purchase windows or another program if you need to do any type of writing. Extremely disappointed.

It came with an unsupported, obsolete internet explorer browser, none active virus protection and immediately got loaded down with malware which caused me to get rid of it as I didn't have $200 to pay for getting it fixed. So not worth it.

I bought this and have spent 15 days with Acer and microsoft experts as it will not do windows updates

I bought this laptop for a variety of reasons. Those reasons are: price, Windows 7, hard drive size, and Bluetooth. I have owned this laptop since May 13 2014 and I am very happy with my purchase. I love the screen size on this laptop because it provides me ample room to view multiple tabs. The display itself provides a very crisp picture. The thing that I loved the most about this laptop is that it doesn't come with a bunch of junk software on it. I removed three programs that it came with because I had other programs that I was wanting to use. I would highly recommend this laptop to those people who don't want Windows 8.

you pay lots for these they advertised owners manual there is none oh yes on the computter but no book so how can they advertise there is one if your haveing trouble with your computer how can you read the manual you cant you have to take it in so they will fix it???? bake a cake when it is done open it up and the directions will be inside

I had a great little Acer notebook from ten (?) years ago that worked hard until it fried. I replaced it with a larger Acer that has never worked right -- I thought I'd just gotten a lemon. So I bought this. It's annoying to use. It's slow sometimes and faster other times. The font size changes all by itself, which fouls up any writing I'm doing. And yes, it's been scanned a million times and apparently has no viruses. It's just a lousy computer. I'm going back to Toshiba or even Dell. I figure that one good Acer was a fluke.

I bought my first computer in 1982 and have spent a lot of time using all kinds. I bought this one because it was lightweight and I thought it could be my "couch computer." It isn't. It's going back in its box and living there until someone wants it. The mouse is terrible (I've had two other Acers with no mouse problems). The cursor jumps all over the page, no matter what I'm doing or where I am. It will not allow me to install my laser printer (that printer is on four other computers and there's never been a problem). I hate the unnecessary keypad to the right -- that's fine for a work computer but not for just fooling around. The screen is insanely bright and when I dim it down it pops right back up to "searchlight." This thing is cheaply and badly made and if I hadn't blindly and stupidly let my husband set it up while I was gone the other day, I'd return it. With a vengeance. If you're looking for a cheap laptop with Windows 7, try a refurbished Lenovo. I'd worked with three or four of those and they're solid. Not pretty, but solid. Just avoid this cursed thing!
