Easy to type on, streams videos nicely, good sound

I was quite surprised when I got this laptop..It performed very well...I upgraded to windows 10 no problem, however I'm 68 years old and "old school" so I went back to windows 7..no problems with windows 10, I just didn't like the layout and design, but that's me..Can't go wrong with this laptop..I upgraded to Win 7 pro & I'm upgrading from 4gb to 8gb on Monday..Great product for the price.

I bought this laptop to do my online school work and I can barely Google something without the darn thing freezing every 5 seconds. IF it would properly turn on every once in a while that would be great. Instead it gets stuck on a constant updating loop that doesn't end until it fully drains the battery. And speaking of the battery, unless you want to sit plugged to the wall all day writing a paper, don't invest your money in this TRASH. Every single time I turn this stupid thing on I am just begging to be Upset!!!. I absolutely hate this laptop and regret not spending the extra $200 for an actual working laptop. Never buying Acer as long as I live!

Really like this laptop so far. Easy to use and set up. Wasn't ready for Windows 8 yet so appreciated this it still had Windows 7.

I was looking for a laptop with a 17" screen that could handle all of my needs. This computer is great! No issues or complaints so far!!!

Could not activate Microsoft office 2010 starter...I made phone calls to best buy, geek squad, and Microsoft. I still do not have Microsoft office which was included with the package. Just a tactic to get you to buy?

Initially, I thought it was me eg, I hit something, or touch screen. Don't think so. Happened too many times.. Then, cursor moves all over the place without me clicking or touching pad. Now, for the worst part Once a day, I get "firewall off". Again, I, gave the machine the benefit of doubt. Let's assume that I hit something. Should not that something, that turns firewall off, be placed somewhere where one has to go out of their way to hit or turn off? THIS IS THE WORST I EVER HAD BECUASE OF ABOVE. AND I AM THE OWNER OF 2 ACERS, 15 INCH THAT , WERE NOT FOR VIRUSES IN EACH, AND MY COMPLET CLEAN UP OF SUCH, THEY WOULD STILL FUNCTION. At least, for 3 years neither of them, #and I paid 299 each and not 449 like this crp gave me these issues. In view of the four stars by others, this had to be a lemon. Unless one can tell me why the firewall goes off by itself as far as I know. By the way, review came back since I had innapropriarte language in describing it, eg cr. p. I had seen such word in other reviews, and do not think , although 4 letters, it is such.
