I purchased a different laptop about a week before this one. It continued to drop the connection to the wifi... at the house and office. I returned it with no problems and grabbed this Acer Aspire R. It is everything that I need and then some!

I bought this laptop after comparing so many models and brand. This is one of the best 2in1 laptop in this price. It is working perfect. Look and design is very attractive. And it is slim too. :)

I had used windows 7 and have gone to windows 10. Still becoming familiar with windows 10. Replaced older desktop and company laptop I had when working. Very happy with product. Mouse pad is in middle and is very sensitive. I find it moving my text when trying to type. I also purchased a wireless keyboard and mouse for desktop application. 2-in-1 laptop and tablet is great!

I switched from an old, slow computer, so this one is amazing. Wasn't sure I would like the touchscreen, but it is fantastic.

I purchased this for my grandson to take to college and he likes it and is doing fine with it. It certainly has lots of features for the price.

fast, reliable, sound is amazing. Did I mention it's light? Turns into a tablet, making it easier to read documents. Screen resolution is a plus!

Core i7, 8GB ram, it's an Acer but the specs are great for the price

has been a great tool to learn on as my first laptop. easy to use and having the touch screen is making it even more friendly.

Other than a small issue with the graphics driver (which I fixed based on a Google search), everything works well. Quick to turn on, runs quiet and cool, switches from laptop to tablet mode without issue.

It works well between the touch screen and the key board.

I read the reviews and thought I would love this 2 - in -1, BUT it tended to get hotter than the other 2- in - 1's I tried and the Solid State Hard Drive didn't boot up or process any faster for me. So when comparing prices and features, I decided to pass on this one.

Set up was a snap, this laptop performs very well. One little problem, Acer doesn't play well with Windows 10. A few Acer programs had to be deleted and problem was solved. Overall love the laptop.

I would have given it a 5 star if I didn't have to return it so many times but overall I love it. I have dropped it one too many times and it is still alive and healthy. Best purchase yet!

I was skeptical at first with the ACER label that often is associated with lower end "bargain" units. Not this one. Great parts and very solid construction. Best in the SS category for my money.

I recently started getting into audio production and my 5 year old PC Laptop (an HP Pavilion something or other with an old AMD chip) was not capable as I had anticipated. I use Cakewalk Sonar for my digital audio workstation and they recommended system requirements for a pc with either a newer AMD chip, or an Intel i5 or higher and at least 4 gb of RAM. So I set out looking for something between $700-$900 that had the best specs for the money. This thing is sweet! Most laptops in this price range come with an i5 processor, and usually max out at 256 GB of SSD storage. This thing not only comes with a brand new 6th Gen i7, but the SSD storage (SSD being the faster of the two types of hard drives available in most laptops) is a full 512GB of storage, plus it includes a hearty 8 GB of RAM, which I believe is expandable to 12GB. This thing looks sleek with its aluminum body, and soft touch backing. Plus for future-proofing, this thing already comes with a usb type C, which I haven't seen too many of on anything competing in this price range. The touchscreen is beautiful. And for those saying its too heavy to be used as a tablet, I have to ask, how often would you actually want to use a 14" tablet? I love putting this thing into display mode, where the keyboard is folded back as the stand for your touch screen. You can keep it on your lap and adjust it to the perfect angle for you. It's definitely easier than trying to hold a very large awkward tablet. I bought this when it was on sale $100 the Saturday after Christmas for $829, and had anticipated paying the full $929 because the night before, the sale price was not listed. On Sunday morning it went back up to the original price, so I definitely lucked out. Still at $929, you are getting a great machine.

I am very happy with this laptop. It is a bit thicker than competitive products but it actually has a 500GB ssd which I love! I can't complain at all and I use this laptop for heavy data crunching as I am a consultant.
