Really slow. We only use the computer to print labels and maybe 2 excel files. I thought it would be fine but I’m going to return it.

If you aren’t a gamer and are just looking for a good all around desktop at a reasonable price, this is perfect for you. I was looking for a second desktop computer for work, surfing the net, and something inexpensive without all the bells and whistles and found this.
This desktop comes with Windows 11, 8GB of RAM, 6 USB ports, HDMI port, VGA port, microphone and headphone jacks, good graphics card and a 256 GB hard drive. The hard drive is a bit small for some, but for what I am using this computer for it is plenty of space. This even has a DVD+RW which a lot of computers now do not have.
The desktop also comes with a mouse and keyboard, like most other computers. The only thing you may need is a monitor, if you don’t have one for it. With the addition of a monitor, you could have a whole computer set up for less than $500.
I have put a few programs onto this desktop and can easily have a few of them up at the same time with no problems. The graphics are good for viewing videos and such.
I recommend this desktop for people looking for simple, easy every day use. Great for students to get their work done and for anyone that just wants to have a computer and not pay an arm and a leg. I have had Acer computers in the past and have not had any problems with them. I particularly recommend this desktop computer because of the dependability of the brand and the price is definitely a big plus.

Excellent Value

I got my Acer Aspire XC-830 a couple of weeks ago and I have found it to be limited, but excellent for many things. This is not a gaming PC or something to use for anything that requires intense processing power. However, in the right circumstance, it can be a high value purchase.
If you want a computer to do any basic tasks, or maybe a spare or guest PC then I think this is a great option. Or maybe just something to stream or watch videos, again this is a great choice. I was able to play some lower level games that are not memory or processor intensive just fine. Out of the Park Baseball played, but it was a bit slow. Office works and this PC allowed me to be my usually crazy self of gradually opening more and more tabs and browser windows as I was surfing the web and responding to emails without performance issues. This is a desktop that would fit the needs for either of my parents’ just fine.
By modern standards the 8GB of RAM and 256GB drive is definitely on the smaller side. The mouse and keyboard are subpar. The keyboard is really cheaply made. If it was an average keyboard I would of given it 5*s instead of 4. However they do work and of course you can always upgrade if you dislike the keyboard as much as I did. At least the keyboard has a numeric keypad so I do like that part of it. I don’t want to sound like I’m being too hard on this machine; I just don’t want to give any false impressions on its power. For the price I think this PC is a great buy. I do like the small size and it also has a built in DVD player which is nice. The Wi-Fi works well. You will also find all the usual ports and jacks. It only has 1 HDMI port, but 4 USB 2.0, 2 USB 3.0, microphone, headphones, and an Ethernet port.
At the end of the day if you need a computer and you aren’t a serious gamer and prefer a desktop to a laptop I would seriously consider this machine. Excellent value for what you get. If I knew someone looking for a desktop in this price range that can do all the basic PC tasks, I would absolutely recommend this a friend.

Good Basic Computer

This is a very basic desktop, great for basic, everyday use and a good starter computer for someone, such as a student or an someone who doesn't need bells and whistles but does now need to have email and get on-line to do their banking and don't use a smartphone for that, like me. It comes with a basic keyboard and mouse which are both wired, a DVD driver (a surprise as you don't see these that often anymore), and enough USB ports. As I tend to use flash drives and external hard drives a lot when I take work home, I added a USB extender but it isn't needed.
I was disappointed that there wasn't a start-up guide to go with this unless it was left out of my box (all I received was a USA FCC Compliance Statement). I had nothing to tell me what was available or even where the power button was located. For someone experienced it isn't hard to figure out but for someone just getting their first computer, it needs more. The mailing box did have a sticker with the specifications on it but due to handling, half of it is unreadable. There is nothing about where to get a manual for operation. While I realize this is low-end, this takes budget to a different level. It is the reason for the lost star.
Now, it was billed to be a low-end gaming computer and for the games I play, this works with no problems. I have actually seen play go smoother with less lag using this. My games are graphics heavy and it is loading the graphics which cause the slow down but I haven't experience it with the Acer yet.
Overall, it is meets the expectations one would have for a basic computer.

We had an OLD Dell, added Windows 10 and that machine kept getting slower and slower. This Acer is fast! On in 10 seconds. It is all us old timers need to shop online and play cards!

The Windows 11 OS on this PC is unstable and corrupted. Talking to Acer is a waste of time. I got errors from doing the most simple tasks and it ruined an external hard drive and I lost a decades worth of data.
