I bought this tablet to replace a Nexus 7 that died after it was dropped.
Wanted tablet for reading Kindle eBooks from library (10 inch screen is nice size/ weight for this purpose), reading emails & news feeds. Was pleasantly surprised at how well it also streams video (Netflix, Xfinity, etc).
Even though a 10" screen, was still able to use free app versions of word/Excell/PowerPoint etc. Has been very practical for quick checks on spreadsheets, which I didn't expect. Nexus 7 was less useful because of smaller size.
Might lag during gaming. I'm not a gamer so it hasn't been an issue for me and can't offer opinion.
Front facing speakers are good for streaming.
I picked up on a sale for $129.99 and would highly recommend at this price.

I have had several Samsung tablets, but none of them lasted much past their warranty, so took a chance with a much less expensive tablet.
This tablet works OK, and for the price is a decent tablet, but compared to a Samsung, it does not match up. The screen is not as vivid or responsive, but the main problem with this tablet is the speed. With only 1G ram it is very slow. I finally gave it to my daughter and purchased a new Samsung. She uses it mainly for Facebook and Netflix, and seems to do fine with that, but I use Power Point and real programs, and it was dreadfully slow for that.
The 32G is adequate, however with only 1G memory it is underpowered and slows it down too much.
But other than that it is still working, and is only 1/4th the Price of the Samsung I bought.

This is a good tablet that does mostly what it should. My complaints are not enough memory(seems like I have to refresh memory every couple of hours) and poor camera, especially in low light. Photos are not my priority so this is not an issue for me.
everything seems to be working as advertised, no problem with battery or false restarts.
Picture quality is good to excellent.

I purchased this when it was on sale and for the price I paid I am happy with it. There is lag which is probably attributed to a lower class processor and amount of ram installed. 32GB if storage is plenty but the inclusion of a microsd card reader allows for easy expansion. There is some bloat ware but not to the point where it is bothersome or a nuisance. The tablet feels cheap mainly because for the price you pay it is.

Acer's made improvements to this tablet compared to the previous model. The case is more rigid, better speakers and front sound as well as the touch screen. There are very few tablet choices from name brands under $200. I had the previous model and was not satisfied with its quality so I was reluctant to purchase another Acer. However, with few choices I bought this model and I'm satisfied with all its features. No memory issues like the previous model and battery life is better. The case and screen is more rigid, which gives better performance on the touch screen. Wifi is quicker and the sysrems icon allows you to control functions better. I bought mine for $129.00 and exceeds expectations for a tablet in this price range.

Bought it for my mom - a nice, basic tablet with a large screen. I bought a bumper case and a screen shield to protect it.
It's been problematic from day one. The constant low memory warnings from day one are ridiculous, especially since all that's running is the over the top bloatware, some of which you can't even get rid of.
Now, a little over a year later, it won't even boot up or charge... less than 30 days after the Acer warranty expired. Disappointing to the point of disgusting.
At least now my mom's ready for an upgrade, but it certainly won't be an Acer.

I bought this tablet for my 9 year old son with Autism. this on is more flimsy than the others, but it was cheaper than the others but also larger. He wanted a bigger screen than his 7 inch that recently broke so we went with this one for the size and price. He watches YouTube all day on it and likes the androiday marketplace so it worked out nicely for him. He likes it. Doesn't seem as durable as Samsung but he hasn't broken it yet.

I was looking for a second, smaller tablet to carry with me when I was out of the house for various appointments. This one met all the criteria I had. It is smaller than the larger tablet I use at home, had the necessary storage for the programs I wanted on it and was economically priced.

Tablet has a great price, it's not close to being one of the best but 4 stars because for what I payed for it, I can't complain. It has a gravest build, nice screen but struggles at an angle. Speakers are poor even though they're front facing, surprised me. But the device runs very smooth and fluid. Only issue if in having Bluetooth loss way to much like every 5 min while whatching movies.

I've had this tablet for just over a month now and love it. It's not quite as fast as some of the higher end tablets I was looking at, but it's a decent tablet for a decent price and from a brand I've used in the past. The display size is great. I love playing games on this tablet, and I haven't really had any issues with any of the apps I've loaded.

I bought this for my daughter's 10th birthday. She loves the large screen for her games, I love that I haven't had to buy an extra memory card yet. It doesn't shut off randomly, great usability, decent battery life and charge time.

Acer Iconia One 10” Android Tablet (May 2016)
Touting a large 10” IPS screen and quad-core processor the Acer Iconia One 10 is poised to be a great budget buy tablet for those wanting large screen real estate at a low cost.
Pros
• 10.1” IPS 1280x800 display
o It really is a beautiful screen for such a low cost device. You’d be challenged to find another 10” device at this price point.
• 32GB of internal storage
o A great decision to include 32GB of storage. All too often tablet makers give you only 16 and expect you to use expansion cards or play a shell game with your installed apps.
• microSD storage expansion slot
o It’s a no-brainer why this is a good thing.
• Battery life
o This thing will run for days and days sitting on a shelf if you don’t install a bunch of background updating apps like Facebook, etc. I’ve easily seen 4 days of standby with this device.
• Incredibly low entry price
o Again, that’s a lot of screen for a small price.
Cons
• Acer brand
o I liken Acer to the Packard Bell of the 90’s. They make cheap consumer grade devices, and they make lots of them. The build quality is never really all that high and there’s always some sort of compromise for price.
• Acer bloatware and OS “customizations”
o This device comes out of the box pre-loaded with Acer bloatware. You can’t delete them, but you can disable most of them.
o My biggest con for a device at this price point is simple. People who purchase a device like this are most likely looking to get their child a device, or perhaps a device to share amongst the family. That would be a fantastic idea if Acer hadn’t decided to completely strip out multi-user profile functionality out of the OS. So basically you’re limited to one user, with one Google Play account and no ability to share the device amongst multiple home users. This is an absolute travesty! Why oh Why Would you remove this functionality from the Android core OS Acer??? What possible purpose does it serve to strip this out?
o This takes me to my last point on Acer “customizations”. You’re stuck out of the box running Android 5.1. Not Android 5.1.1, and certainly not Android 6.0. Android 6 has been available to the public since October 2015 and yet here we are 8 months later and still running a version of Android that’s still multiple revs old. Aside from stripping out multi-user profiles, what logic is there to your dev cycle that prohibit a quicker release of current software? There’s a slew of security risks that are addressed monthly yet we find ourselves stuck on software that’s years old at this point. It’s a bloody shame.
• Only 1GB of RAM??
o Yeah, it’s a budget device, but how much is an extra gig of RAM really gonna bump the price? This is a huge manufacturer mistake. Most apps demand more RAM and having less than 2GB is really asking for some pain and suffering the more apps you install on your device that do background tasks (ie, Facebook, Twitter, etc). There’s also a lousy Acer app called System Doctor installed that you cannot remove or disable that constantly badgers you about being low on memory right out of the box. Smooth move Acer!
• Wi-Fi adapter fails a lot on 5GHz band
o So I run a Tri-Band setup and I’ve noted that this device will easily connect to the 5GHz band, but after sitting idle will disconnect and fail to reconnect to 5GHz. You have to disable the Wi-Fi adapter and reconnect for it to work. This doesn’t appear to be a problem with the 2.4GHz band. It connects and seems to stay connected no problem. This is a real annoyance and is most likely a bug in their driver.
Summary
In summary, while this seems to be a great device for the price, I might consider looking elsewhere if you’re a family who has multiple kids and wants to let your kids share the device. I would expect that at some point shortly after purchase you’ll wish you’d have gone a different route because you’ll quickly outgrow the 1GB of RAM. I think if this device is being used to surf the web, check email, play a game or two, and read books you’ll be fine. But if you intend to start loading it up with social media apps and the like you’ll start to pull your hair out because it will quickly start to lose its zippy performance. All that being said, it’s really hard to hate the device. It’s such a lot of screen for such a small price. If you’re smart about how you use it, you’ll probably walk away fairly satisfied.

Slow to respond sometimes and I'm guessing it's the1 GB of RAM. I can live with that. It's a nice looking pad and the battery life is good. It's not a top of the line pad but for the price point it will serve me fine.

This is my 3rd tablet purchase. This Acer is by far the best I've ever had. It is fast and the picture is very clear. The colors on the screen are amazing for 10 inches. Great RAM and lots of room for more memory. The screen is very sensitive so it works without being aggressive. The speakers are adequate. If you want more sound get some blue tooth speakers. Remember, it is a tablet not a speaker system. This tablet is the perfect size. Smaller than my laptop and PC. Congrats Acer ! At this price level it cant' be beat.

I could not pass up the price on this tablet considering the 32 gigabytes of storage and the expansion SD card slot. The picture quality is very good it is slow on Startup but the performance is very acceptable.

Doesn't lag when playing games; however, system memory gets eaten up rather quickly and open apps have to frequently be closed to free up memory. Overall, my kid loves it. He can play his games on a huge screen with great resolution. The tablet has great sound as well. This was a good purchase for the price point.
