This is my first budget Android tablet. I have always had flagship iOS or Android models that costs significantly more so I was not expecting much when this came in the mail. However, while some of my expectations were correct, I was overall surprised. The tablet is designed to be held in landscape orientation, but of course can be used in either. The build quality is what you would expect for a budget tablet. It is a hard thick plastic with a diamond-shaped texturing on the back. It’s not bad but definitely a different and heavier feel if you are used to more expensive tablets. One weird thing I noticed is the front camera is off center a bit while the back camera is centered. My guess is these are thicker camera components and both could not be stacked on top of each other. I have to commend Acer for giving this 32gb out of the gate instead of the typical 16gb that you would find in a tablet of this class. This is plenty of space for most users but if you need more there is a microSD slot on the top of the tablet, as well as your power and volume controls. There are dual forward facing speakers that I would call just adequate. Nothing a good pair of headphones can’t fix. I was pleasantly surprised by the performance of this tablet. I loaded games such as Asphalt 8 and Spiderman Unlimited expecting a disaster but both ran just fine. In fact, I have seen both games stutter on my older but flagship Android tablets. Performance overall is really good. Now the downside is the screen quality. I have to knock a star for the screen resolution. In my opinion a 10” tablet, even one that is trying to be the most affordable should have better resolution, at least 1080p. This tablet has a resolution of 1280 x 800 which would be ok for a 7” tablet but at full size you can definitely see the pixels. This makes reading magazines or comics difficult if not impossible. For those activities smaller text is a jagged unreadable mess. The most you’ll see a movie at is 720p and with poor black levels. It does install a few icons for other apps on the homepage upon first boot up that you may or may not want. However, these are not actual applications and are simple links that can be removed very easily. Other tablets I have owned had the bloatware installed and you could not remove it. So that is definitely a plus. It also have a function called “EZ Wake” which allows you to tap twice on the screen to wake the tablet from sleep. A really cool feature. I was going to give this tablet a 3 because I cannot recommend it for reading magazines/comics or watching videos due to the poor screen and audio quality. But in reality, it actually is a capable tablet for the price as long as you understand what to expect. I would recommend this to someone who wants to play casual games, check email, e-reading, or minimal web browsing.

Bought it for my 7 year old - for the price pretty decent tablet - second one bought. Downside - the buttons and charge receptor broke on the first one and the charge receptor is already loose on the second - short term tablet solution for the price

I read the reviews prior to buying this Acer tablet , but I have had 2 other Acer tablets so am familiar with the brand. They are great and this one is too.

Bought this to replace the Insignia Flex 10.1 and it works perfectly! I also love that Acer doesn't add a bunch of bloatware or an extra interface on top of the stock Android interface, like Samsung or HTC.

Being an owner of multiple technology items, I like relaxing at the end of the day after work is over with. I often ask myself, which unit do I surf the net on or play games. As soon as I heard this was available for testing from Tech Insider, I wanted to see how well it stood up to the test I had un-boxed the product and to my surprise there was a full charge! You get the tablet itself, a pamphlet and a charger with USB Cable. Turning on the unit had an initial setup that took about 10 minutes to go through. You will also see a plastic protective cover that says "Only remove after application setup. If there is feedback about the packaging I have it's the box flaps seem kind of sharp so unbox with caution. (Almost had a cut finger) After everything was setup, I went through the Google Play Store and setup everything to my liking. I proceeded to download some simple games such as the popular match 3 game with candies we all love, and some slot machines. Also there were some 3D Game apps I downloaded as well. For the most part, everything ran smoothly I did not notice anything out of the ordinary that would make performance of the device go bonkers. However there is an annoying System Doctor app that constantly lets me know I'm out of memory. And there is no way to uninstall it, instead you have to force stop the app and disable it. If I wanted to have memory managed automatically, I would want to be able to download my own app to do so. Audio was loud and clear when playing games, had no problem hearing the audio. Video is good too when looking on YouTube. Not the best of quality but better than I've seen on other units. Screen is pretty good too, it's bright, and the 1280x800 resolution is more than enough space. Memory.. It's 32GB but if you have more memory intense apps that constantly update, consider getting a SD Card to move stuff too. So far I'm really hooked to the unit.

Bought this for a gift for my mother. She loves it. She did not want anything pricey and loaded up as she only uses it as a form of entertainment. Itworks great and its easy for her to comform to her needs

I broke my first tablet accidently so when I replaced it there was no problem replacing it with the same model. even with a cover and trying really hard not to drop it I think it's a little too fragile.

Forget apple. Acer is the way to go. Does everything a IPad does at a fraction of the price

The very first week had to request a new power cord. Told them that it wouldn't stay plugged into tablet and they sent the part that plugs into wall outlet instead. Had to wait several days to get correct part. Had troubles off and on connecting to wifi in 1st couple of weeks, but it went completely out right after the 30 day return period was up. Had to pay to ship it to repair center and still waiting on it to be repaired. Wish my old on hadn't got knocked off of kitchen counter and broke. Loved that one, this on has been nothing but problems.

This is the great product at the right price. It is compact and conveniet to take with you anywhere you want . I also found that it was pretty fast downloading things and anything else that I did on it.

The Acer Iconia tablet comes with a big 10 inch screen running Android 5.1. I have been using the Acer Iconia one tablet now for about two weeks now and its hasn’t impressed a lot. The first time I turned it on and started Chrome, I got the message of low system resources/RAM and this has been an issue many times as again as well. The 1 GB RAM is not just good enough now in this day and age. However it does come with a huge 32GB built in memory with the option of an Micro SD card as well which means that potentially you can have a lot of storage. The battery is really good and you can watch couple of movies on a single charge. So if you are looking for tablet on to watch movies and light surfing then this might be the right choice for you, but don’t expect it to play latest intensive games or run multiple heavy applications.

Perfect for my needs! Great for social networking! I would recommend to anyone just needing something small to tote for your internet needs. Good camera! comes with many apps and runs very smooth!

When you consider the low cost for this item I'm surprised at how many features this tablet contains. It was purchased for an older non tech savvy person and I've had to help with very little.

As of July 2016 this particular lap top will run anything I want. Still getting used to the touch screen. That works well too. Fast start up. Illuminated keyboard comes in handy in the dark.

I love my tablet! It is sleek thin smooth and fast. I recommend it for anyone who wants a nice sized tablet that still slips quietly in and out of your bag. This is truly the poor man's iPad.

This tablet is a low end budget tablet. The camera produces grainy photos. The sound is not great, but adequate. It does have a headphone jack, as well as a micro sd card slot. It was very easy and quick to set up the tablet. The processor seems pretty fast and able to handle more than one app open at a time. The screen is hd (though not 1080) and the images are crisp and clear. The battery seems to hold its charge a pretty long while. If you just want a basic tablet for games, internet and email this is an excellent choice.

I bought this because I simply needed a large screen tablet to run 1 application. Never intended to do ANTHING else with it. Even with only running 1 app, he battery is a joke. I might get 3-4 hours out of it, with it simply being "on". Also worth noting, it became unable to get online because it would not recognize any wireless networks. The fix, according to Acer, was to download new software onto a miniSD and up load to the tablet. So, to make the tablet that I bought work properly, I would have to buy another device to actually make the work. Would it buy another. Stick with Samsung. I have 5 Galaxy tablets and never had any issues.

I love it, I can take it to school for powerpoints, its light and I can Clash it up a lil bit lil bit. Definately recomend it if you want something basic, portable, and great quality!

amazing tablet never run out of memory high speed downloads and uploads great sound and very sturdy and the quality is outstanding I will never buy another brand this one is all I need

Acer is a hight quality product for less money. I recomment this table to everybody, because has a lote of features and 32gb of memory.
