Upon opening the box, the product was packaged perfectly, keeping everything safe and secure until arrival. I was very impressed with the screen size and the durability of this tablet. It was very easy to set up and had step-by-step on screen instructions to do just that. I was very impressed with the overall quality of the build. It is very well put together.
The Android operating system is all new to me but it didn't take very long to catch on. I would definitely recommend this tablet. It has 32 GB of built-in storage as well as the ability to add additional storage. Great job Acer!

I love the screen size of this tablet. It runs Android JellyBean very smoothly. The display graphics are very sharp and clear. I mainly use this tablet to surf and read books, which it does without any problems. The reason I gave 4 stars is that straight out of the box, I got a message that states that "SYSTEM MEMORY LOW" "CLICK TO OPTIMIZE". Then when you click nothing really happens. It doesn't effect the performance of the tablet, so now I just ignore it.

Not enough memory for simple tasks

I started using this 4 days ago, I set it up with my Google account downloaded my apps and within 5 minutes of using it, I was getting a low memory warning.
If you want to use this for web browsing it is OK, but a little slow. Streaming video, is a big stress on this tablet and not recommended. The speakers are the worst I've ever heard on any tablet, and the plastic screen does not wok well with any stylus, your finger sticks to the screen and the process is just not smooth. The tablet feels very cheaply made and just does not feel like it will withstand the rigors of normal everyday use.
Of all the tablets I've ever used, this feels the cheapest, performs the worst, and is not recommended for anything but the most simplest of tasks.
I cannot recommend this tablet for anyone, there are better alternatives available in this price range.

Display is beautiful & bright. Quick processor too. I'm not thrilled about the speakers, but I rarely use them anyway. The 16x9 aspect ratio was a pleasant surprise - not sure if I wanted that at first. Very happy with this tablet. Acer has't failed me yet.

This tablet is good for what it is intended- simple media consumption. It is inexpensive but feels durable. Watching video, checking emails, listening to music (Bluetooth streaming), and e-book reading all work well. My granddaughter loves this tablet for children's games.
However, due to the relatively slow processor and only 1 gb RAM, this tablet balks at any attempt at multitasking. Some resource intensive applications (e.g. Google Maps) don't function well on this tablet.
I can recommend the Acer Iconia One for simple tasks, but don't expect much more.

First off, I am an Apple girl, through and through, so I, of course, am going to make some comparisons to my iPad Mini 4 that I own.
The device itself is not bad. I feel like it is a little less solidly made than my Mini 4, but it is also a quarter of the price. The battery life could be a lot better - I can use it for a couple of hours one morning, and the battery is dead before lunch the next day; it's almost as though idling is worse for the battery than actually using it. I'm also soooo not a fan of the Android OS, but if you are okay with the OS and only decent battery life, this tablet would probably be an ok budget tablet. As for me, I'm using it with the kids that I work with, so I can save my Mini 4 for myself and not worry about it being damaged.

The constant SYSTEM MEMORY LOW message
I needed a tablet for a long plane trip (sounds spoiled I know-sorry)....anyway searched online-found this had agood price and available at my local BB. I went in ready to purchase. The DISPLAY model was running the system memory low message. I told the sales associate, "That's not a good sign.". She told me they had loaded a bunch of apps on it because it's a demo. Bought it (a new one, not the demo). Plugged it in and the message immediately ran. Other than that I like it. For $109 I shouldn't expect more.
As far as recommending it...if you are looking to buy something to watch movies, FB, surf, its fine. If you need to run multiple apps you will be disappointed..but again if you want a lot of power you have to spend more.

I had never tried any Acer products so I wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised by how well it worked considering the retail price is much cheaper than other well known brands. It handles Internet use and gaming well with a decent battery life. The camera is adequate (although my cellphone takes better pictures). The housing feels a little cheap but I haven't had any trouble with it. The screen is responsive as expected. If you're looking for something with a more high end feel this won't be for you but it's definitely not a product to ignore.

The tablet is a pretty great product. The design is awesome and it feels and looks a lot more expensive than it really is. That being said, I do have two small suggestions for improvement. When running my finger across the screen, due to the material, it is not a smooth motion as my finger will stick and make the motion a little jerky. Secondly, the technology that senses where you touch the screen has a tiny delay. Aside form that, the product is flawless. Overall, a great product for the price point.

Great Tablet for a Beginner

I love my Acer tablet. I'm used to working on a laptop & had no experience with a tablet; but I can't always take my laptop with me--it's just way to big. My tablet is the perfect size for at home & away from home use. I feel so much more connected now. I especially like taking my tablet on doctor's appointments and auto service appointments--even though I have to wait, it doesn't feel like waiting; time goes really fast because I use my tablet to pass the time. My tablet is just the right size, and the price was reasonable . . . after using my $75.00 in rewards towards the purchase, I paid only $40.00 for my tablet. Totally worth it!!!

I got this tablet on sale and with a points certificate, so I paid about $100 for it, though that's not the regular price. I couldn't have gotten a better product at that price, or even higher.
While I've only had it a week, it's got everything you need in a Google/Android tablet. The screen is big, so your eyes don't strain, like they do on a phone. The colors and resolution are perfectly fine for my needs. I expect the 32GB memory to last a long while. No lag. So far, no complaints whatsoever.
I remember reading in the comments prior to making the purchase that someone got a "system memory full" message when the tablet was new. I'm getting that, too, but when I checked the storage settings, I've got plenty of space, and the functionality of the tablet hasn't been affected at all. So, I'm chalking that message up to a glitch of some sort.
Overall, the tablet is a great purchase. I would buy it again.

Well, its been awhile since I had a tablet with just 1 gig of ram, and after receiving this unit, I remember why..
Slow, bulky, frequent lock ups, and a poor screen, this tablet is really low end, and I assume in expensive as well.
If that is what you want, or all you can afford, then its probably a good choice, otherwise, skip this one and opt for something else..

For the price, this is a nice tablet. I have used this for web browsing, watching videos, music, Netflix, etc. and its a very capable tablet. However, its responsiveness is not very quick to the touch compared to other more expensive tablets (iPads, etc.). It is pretty user friendly, and easy to navigate. If you don't want to spend a ton of money, and just need something for browsing or everyday use, this should work fine.

Was excited to receive the tablet and see what it could do. First impression was mixed. It is very lightweight and feels kind of delicate. It was very easy to set up and start using. I am not used to android and Google Play so that took a little time to set up.
Overall performance is decent, but it's not very fast. It is a little on the slow side starting up in my opinion, and gameplay is faster on my iPhone. I will say that the value for money is there as long as your expectations aren't too high. It's a good tablet for the kids as you aren't going to be out a fortune if they break it. All in all, it's not a cheap disposable, but it's not an iPad either.

Great tablet for the price...only lacking in RAM

I have used this tablet for about two weeks now and I am pretty happy with it. I only purchased it for entertainment purposes so I was not looking to spend a great deal of money. After much searching, I discovered this gem and it does everything I need it to do. The only drawback (and it is only due to my thrifty ways) is that the lack of RAM slows down the processing speed of the tablet. To remedy this, I keep cleaning up the cache with the help of an included app. For me, it's a no brainer. If you are looking for a more powerful model, this may disappoint. I suggest you up your budget. In this price range however, this tablet is King!

Compared to other tablets I have owned this Acer tablet performs well, it gives satisfactory performance provided you don't over tax it.
Screen display is good. I think for the price this provides a good entry level into Android tablet world.

Before trying my already-shipped Acer Iconia One, I read detailed reviews... and was surprisingly proven wrong for expecting a minimal/basic tablet. I'd only used my ~2 year old iPad, and for several hundred dollars less, am completely pleased with my initial experience with this Acer. I'd so strongly recommend this minimal investment in hardware for folks prone to damaging or loosing their stuff... or an entry-level user (web & email, & maybe more). You get what you pay for, and I believe this might be better cost vs. value than my beloved/expensive iPad (ugggh?).

Just recently started using this tablet for home use. It's definitely not a top of the line tablet. That is evident by the resolution of the screen as soon as you boot it up. The speakers function decently well for music and movies. The processing speed of the tablet is pretty good, it can handle multitasking fairly well. Overall for the 130 dollar price tag I think its worth it as a nice tablet for checking emails or doing basic tablet functions.
