Customers are saying

Customers are enthusiastic about the large screen size, good battery life, and ease of use of the Iconia One 10.1" tablet. Many also appreciate its affordable price and lightweight design. However, some users express concerns regarding the sound quality and limited RAM, suggesting these areas could be improved. The amount of onboard storage is also a point of contention for some.

Wow. I thought Acer had a good one. I was fooled by the name thinking the quality would've been better than my laptop NOT!!!!!!! Sound quality is average, tablet freezes a lot, can only handle 2 windows opened at one time. Girls seems to freeze or go slow. Would not purchase again.

I've been very pleasantly surprised by this tablet so far. Is it the best tablet out there? Certainly not, but I've been quite surprised by how much quality you do get at this price point. This is a great tablet to grab for those looking for a 10inch screen at a budget price point. Screen display is quite nice. It's not the highest of resolutions but it does have very good vibrancy of colors to it. While not the sharpest display because of the resolution, I did feel it was a really good looking, appealing display. I found pictures to pop quite nice on it. I tried some videos on it via Netflix and they displayed at a very acceptable level too, nothing looked washed out, I didn't notice any obvious artifacting or distortions. I would say the weakest point would be the sound, it does come thru tiny but it's not the first tablet to have tiny sound and it's not going to be the last either. If watching movies, it is loud enuf to hear in a quiet room but you will want headphones or a Bluetooth speaker in a louder environment. As with any of the negatives I came across with this tablet, I felt the concession was understandable given the fact that it's a 10 inch tablet at such a low price point. The tablet itself feels great in the hands, not heavy at all but the build quality does suffer some. It will flex if you try to flex it, that in turn will distort that screen. It's frankly an action I can't understand why someone would be doing in the course of normal operation but it is a consideration when thinking about use for kids. It's not going to be tremendously durable. From a processor standpoint, it felt more then serviceable. Menu navigation, general swiping all happened without much noticeable lag at all. Browsing felt perfectly normal, I didn't encounter noticeable keyboard lag. The processor felt perfectly capable as a productivity/browsing/media consumption device. Snapping between apps didn't feel slow. In general I was concerned with the 1gb of ram but in general use, I didn't feel I hit a bottleneck where performance was being impacted. As a grain of salt sort of thing, I didn't try to load up the device with a ton of widgets either. In my experience with budget android devices, widgets will always slow down a device to some degree. You won't be able to play high end games on it. I tried riptide 2 and it played at a decent enuf level but in trying modern combat 5, it became unplayable at times. It will game, but only to a certain extent. Connectivity wise everything is there as well, headphone jack, I did connect an external keyboard and game controller to it just fine via Bluetooth. With the memory card slot, 32gb of internal memory wasn't much of a limitation. Was able to throw in a 64gb card just fine. I tried the miracast function and it was flawless as well, lag was there but I've never used a miracast device that didn't lag some. This device casted the display to the tv just fine with minimal lag. I didn't feel any crippled wifi performance either. I do have excellent wifi coverage so it was hard to test wifi as I'm covered thru the house. I guess from a media consumption standpoint, the wifi on the tablet was good enuf to get Netflix to hd mode within 10-20 seconds or so and didn't hit buffering issues once it was going. It does come with some Acer branded software and while I didn't try to delete it, I did see options to deactivate it. In general, it was file viewers, some cloud support, a gestures app for screen shots, another app to split screen multitask. It does come with a system resource monitor app as well and while I didn't try to tweak it, on its default settings, I did get low system memory notifications. That said, performance never felt impacted and when I'd go check the resources, it was hovering about 50-60% usage. From a battery standpoint, I was also surprised in a good way with it. It didn't drain much in idle mode overnight which is always a plus. I imagine going widget and background notification crazy would have affected this though. On full brightness, I didn't notice an outrageous drain as well streaming video like Netflix. I don't know what it's rated for but I did feel like battery was definite positive. It didn't feel like something that would be dead in a few hours. In average use, you would definitely get a day on it. As for cameras, it has them. About all I can say on tablet cameras. You're just not going to get good cameras on tablets. As you can tell, I was a big fan of the device. I didn't think you could get this much bang for your buck. That genuinely surprised me. Was it a premium experience on par with a iPad Pro? Of course not but budget tablets definitely have a market in most households and to get one with a screen this size at that price point, I.m.o. it definitely deserved the 5 stars I gave it. I felt the tablet wows you more then it makes you feel' like you are on a budget tablet and I consider that a high complement. I would have never have figured that price point after putting it thru the paces. Outside of high end gaming or extreme photo/video editing, anyone in my opinion could find value from this device.

I have owned about 6 or so tablets over the past few years and this tablet is a winner. No bugs or glitches that I have seen, battery life is good, the tiny speakers are the only thing that I would say need improvement.

Had a Nexus 7 before wanted something larger and more memory. This has 32gb and a SD card slot my Nexus didn't also the large screen is a great improvement over the 7"streams movies great and plenty of storage for downloading and storing things to watch later. Resolution is great and for the size of the speakers audio is great. I don't play active games but for everything else I do this tablet responds just fine. Only thing about the tablet that bothers me, and would be the case with most tablets, is all the permanent software both Acer and Google that your stuck with.

We bought two of these to donate for prizes in a charitable game to raise money for a little girl with cancer. These were the most sought after prizes of the night and the two winners were so happy! As for the tablets, they are awesome! I don't know how they were able to price them so low!

This is an excellent tablet for someone not needing something too serious, the processing speed isn't the best but the screen looks great and accesses the Web with ease! Unit is heavier than I expected though, not bad just an observation.

Bought this to replace a tablet my son dropped. It is great with one exception, the screen scratches very easily so buy a protector. My son loves this tablet, it is light and battery power lasts about 6 hours on a full charge. The graphics are great and expandable memory is easy to do.

I bought this tablet to replace an aging Lenovo tablet. The Lenovo had very little storage and was ridiculously slow. I mainly use this for web browsing and for streaming to my TV via Google Chromecast, so the amount of RAM for applications wasn't critical, but performance was. So far this has been a pretty fast tablet, very responsive, strong WiFi connection, and no hiccups when streaming. For the price, I'm extremely happy.

The Acer Iconia One, 10.1 Tablet, 32GB - Wi-Fi is a very capable tablet for the price (the purchase price is about equal to the sales tax on a high-end tablet where I live). Its specifications, its physical hardware construction and its included software are excellent for this price range tablet. That said, do not expect it to perform like a premium tablet. It comes with usable software for surfing the web, writing, and file management etc. (Android’s usual suspects) plus some bloatware. YouTube video quality is limited to a very usable (IMHO) 720p HD, while speaker audio quality is good – but not great. This unit is 2.5Ghz & 5Ghz Wi-Fi capable, USB chargeable (cable included), and has no cellular capability (I use Skype on this tablet). My tablet shipped with the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. You can see the full detailed specifications by clicking on the specifications tab on the main Best Buy product page. I installed all of the Microsoft Office 365 (think Word and Adobe (think Photo)) Android Apps along with the Amazon Kindle App and Speedtest. I kept running out of memory so I uninstalled some of the apps and now am functioning quite well. You may want to expand memory by adding a microSD or microSDXC card (I am using a 32G card) and locating as many of your apps and as much of your data there as possible. If you are a hard-core gamer or other power user, you will probably want a faster processor and faster graphics plus more system memory. In short the Acer  Iconia One, 10.1 Tablet, 32GB - Wi-Fi is nice, inexpensive and functional (I especially like the 10 inch screen size, battery life and the textured back).

Even for a first time tablet user, this unit is simple to learn and does as advertised. It has so far been a reliable addition, considering its reasonable cost. Possibly the charger could have a longer cord, but that's merely personal preference.
