I am quite pleased with tablet. Most happy that it has 32 gig memory so that I don't have to hesitate on downloading many of the play store applications which would take up too much room on my phone. I enjoy using it for word games and reading national newspaper articles. It's also perfect for my emails and surfing the Internet. Most of all---easy to travel with. It's not the speediest but well worth the money.

I'm not picky about tablets. I don't watch movies, rarely watch music videos, never watch tv shows on them. I web surf. It is good enough for that. Although even with a good signal, tends to lag more than I'd like. I haven't downloaded anything but a CSI game, it plays well. The size is great, wouldn't go back to my Kindle. Overall a good purchase-especially since it's lasted longer than that dreck, Kindle.

I needed a low cost tablet for social media, streaming video and music. I looked at Apple and Samsung but they where 2 expensive. At the low end there were a lot of very cheap looking products. Then I stumbled onto the Acer Iconia One 10 at my local BB store. They had a working display . At $130 bucks with 32Gb of storage i figured it was worth a try. I did everything I expected at this price point. I have an Apple IPAD Air 2 for work and it is definitely faster and appears better made but it cost nearly 4 times more. The down sides are slow start up and sluggish processor probably will not support resource hungry game apps. Also, accessories are hard to come by but can be had online and all plastic construction is not my preference but again for $130 you really cannot expect that. Bottom line, works great for movies and music. I recommend for anything except games. Liked it enough to go back and get another for my wife.

This is my second ACER tablet. The tablet works well enough for my purposes. The battery appears to operate for a long time and recharges quickly. 1 gb ram is on the short side and can only run one intensive app at a time, 1.5 or 2 would be better. The GPS feature works well and quickly captures my location for navigation apps. Since the case is not smooth, the grip is good. The value for the price is great.

My kids use this tablet. It is sturdy and has help up well. There is enough storage and it is fast enough for what they use it for.

If you're looking for an affordable (<$150) 10 inch tablet, this Acer Iconia One (B3-A30) is a serious contender. In this price range, I wasn't expecting something that was going to beat a $400+ tablet. It has decent speed, plenty of memory and good battery life. It's perfect for web browsing, playing games, watching Netflix and running other apps. When comparing the size to an iPad Air, the Acer Iconia One is about a half inch wider and a hair shorter, but surprisingly, it's thicker than the iPad Air. It has a textured plastic back that gave me a confident grip. In the box, I was surprised to find a folding plastic stand. The stand is convenient when you want a hands free viewing experience. But beware that it's really only designed for landscape orientation of the tablet. In portrait orientation, it is is prone to tip over with slight touches. The front-facing camera is rated at 2MP, which resulted in spotty images, and the rear-facing camera is rated at 5MP which gave more details, but don't expect it to compete with phones/tablets that are $500+. The rear-facing camera protrudes off the back of the tablet, so a case would be a wise investment to keep it from getting scratched/broken. I was very pleased to learn that the tablet can accept microSD cards, but accessing the slot was a little awkward as it involves popping off a cover just above the camera. Once a microSD card was inserted, I was prompted to make the card a permanent memory store for the tablet. In other words, the card contents would be unreadable in other devices. I was OK with that since it was adding plenty more memory to the tablet to store apps, images, etc. I found that the memory card was not recognized by the camera app until I rebooted. But that might be a shortcoming of Android and not of the tablet hardware. I was shocked to learn that the Acer Iconia One tablet has two micro-USB ports (one of them is hidden behind the tab where the microSD card slot is placed). This allows you to charge using one port while running a USB device on the other. I happened to have the right adapter (USB OTG cable) and was able to browse contents of a USB stick once I had a file explorer app (like ES File Explorer). Viewing pictures off the USB stick was pretty neat and I was satisfied with the speed. Since purchasing a Kindle Fire for my child less than 5 months ago, I was interested to compare Acer's Kids Center app to Kindle's FreeTime app. There really is no comparison. The pre-selected games are targeted for 2-3 year olds. Games that I installed through Google Play were automatically available in Acer's Kid Center. There were no books available whereas Kindle has a large library of pre-selected kids books ranging from early readers to Harry Potter. But most disappointing is that whenever a game level completed, an advertisement would play. In rare occasions it was a simple ad. But a long video clip of Mobile Strike (war game) kept coming back with a delayed close button so it was really frustrating and I did not feel that the content was age appropriate to the game. So stay away from the Kids Center suite. Otherwise, this tablet is great for a casual user.

Nice inexpensive tablet for the price. Could use another gig of ram and a higher resolution screen, but considering the price I can't complain. Much easier than dragging my laptop around to read my email and keeping up with the news. The extra ram would be nice to listen to web based music and read the news at the same time.

An inexpensive 10" tablet with relatively good performance and a decent screen for daily tasks. The sound is so-so, though I'd typically use headphones anyway. Feels fairly well constructed. No complaints so far.

Very good bargain and value for the price. My biggest complaints with these low end tablets is they seem to get gunked up memorywise with applications running unnecessarily in the background. They take a while to boot up and be in a ready state available for use. Lastly, they seem to randomly restart, which is extremely annoying. We use it mainly for traveling, downloading movies and shows off our DVR for viewing on the plane. For that use, it scores high. This model has more RAM than our other unit, an Asus 7", and it seems to be able to also store more video. Haven't figured out how to take advantage of the external storage available. We don't have high expectations as we would if we bought an iPad so, for that reason, we rate it better than average. It meets our needs. We carry phones (good for email, FB, etc.) and I travel with a laptop for work so it really narrows the scope of what we expect out of the tablet.

Acer makes a lot of good products. I own their 8" tablet so when I was ready to get a larger one I didn't hesitate to buy this one. It's a little slow on bootup but runs smoothly and the screen and camera are great!

There are a lot of games and apps that are for kids that I will never use. The system seems to be slow and takes time to load information. Instagram will lag from one post to the next at times, which can be aggravating. I found the tablet was $30 cheaper 16 days from my purchase date. I am very upset Best Buy would not refund the $30, stating I only had 15 days from purchase date. I bought the tablet at a store and found the sale price for identical tablet in the Best Buy sales flyer, WOW talk about a bad feeling! I have always purchased my electronics from Best Buy, but after this I'm not sure what I will do in the future. Over all the tablet is a good product just wish they would have honored the better price.

Originally I had a Samsung Tab Pro, and it became obsolete as they tend to do. So I picked up a new tablet (some other cheap brand and model) and found the performance was severely lacking! So, I returned that tablet and picked up this Acer Iconia. I've been happy with it. It's powerful enough to do what I need it to do, though it's not quite as quick as I was used to with my Samsung. The features are great, and for the price, this 10" tablet is a keeper.

While some of this tablet's features feel sub-par when compared to competing devices, collectively the features are a good value for the price point. The combination of 10" class display, 32GB internal storage, and GPS receiver is impressive. For those not expecting much from the cameras and microphone and who want a tablet to perform mostly basic tasks, this tablet is an excellent choice. [ Pros ] - Decent battery life lasts through the day with moderate tablet use. - The front-mounted stereo speakers provide surprisingly high volume. - Fairly vibrant and responsive touch screen. - Pre-installed Acer apps add some convenient functionality, such as the ability to launch user-selected apps via touch-screen triggers when the tablet is in the 'sleeping' state. - Loaded with Android 6.0 Marshmallow when 4.x is still being sold in many 'new' tablets. - Has a GPS receiver, which is absent in some competing tablets. - Has a microSD card slot, which is sorely missing in some competing tablets. [ Cons ] - 1GB of RAM is sub-standard at this price point. The OS itself uses between 50 to 60% of RAM after booting and before I launch an app. With a couple of very basic apps or a single more moderate app running in the background, memory use can easily reach 75%. While most basic tasks are achieved smoothly, more complex tasks such as actively navigating around Google Maps can result in consistent stuttering of the user interface. 2GB of RAM can be found in many competing devices. - In direct daylight the display becomes almost entirely washed out, making it nearly impossible to use. - Screen resolution of 1280x800 on a 10" display is low by today's standards. Many competing 10" tablets have 1920x1200 displays. - The microphone, located on the edge of the tablet's chassis, has problematically low input volume. When recording videos and playing them back, I could barely hear myself. When testing voice and video chat, the person on the other end had difficulty hearing me, and my voice cut out frequently. My Google Now queries were often cut off mid-sentence. - While 2MP and 5MP cameras are good on paper and are fairly standard for the price point, in-door picture quality is quite bad, where images and video contain far less detail than the resolution allows for. When tested side-by-side with competing devices, both cameras on this tablet fall short. While the rear camera is considerably better than the front camera, the front (user-facing) camera in particularly poor lighting conditions produces nearly pitch-black images, where-as some competing devices in the same conditions produce reasonably lucid images (without flash). - While the volume of the speakers is impressive, their quality is not. Low bass tones are inaudible, while high treble tones sound shrill. Audio generally sounds tinny. - The included charging cable is quite short, which can severely limit tablet placement while charging. * The competing devices considered are available in new condition at roughly the same price point of the reviewed tablet. * This review assumes the availability of GPS. The technical specifications for this tablet on Acer's website do not mention GPS capability. I spoke with an "Acer support professional" who told me that the product specifications available to him did not indicate GPS functionality either. However, the product manual on Acer's website (for the B3-A30) does indicate GPS functionality, and the unit I received definitely has a working GPS receiver in it. If for some reason this product were to release without a GPS receiver, I would rate this tablet with three stars instead of four.
