I got this tablet as a replacement in an emergency right before a conference. My only requirement was that it needed a micro SD slot so that I wouldn't lose all of my current information from my old tablet. Even though I bought it based solely on price and micro SD capabilities, I am SO glad that I picked it! It's fast, responsive, not loaded with a ton of 'extra' apps to bog it down, and the battery life is great. I hated replacing my favorite tablet, but this one is a phenomenal upgrade from what I had!

This is a great entry-level tablet. I bought this one to replace my sons broken one. It was priced reasonable and performs great. He really likes it.

I normally do not do purchase reviews but I do read them. I wanted to convey that this tablet has great features and good size but the sound/speakers have MAJOR issues. The first time (right out of the box) I spent HOURS on the internet researching sound/speaker issues just to see if I was doing something wrong. I am pretty savvy when it comes to more simple devices so I knew there were only so many options. After reinstalling (possibly updating) the software, I gave up. When I put the devise down THE SOUND CAME ON FOR 2 SECONDS (to "Let It Go" of all songs on a YouTube channel). What seemed to be problem was the devise was not in tight of enough contact internally (so when you clamped the corner it worked but let go it wouldn't)! If you are still reading it gets better...When I returned it Best Buy (with no hassle) I swapped it with another one (because I loved the tablet & features). They recommended I opened it in the store and test it and SURE ENOUGH that one HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. It was unfortunate but I really liked it. I did buy the Lenovo - Tab 2 and love that! No issues with the Lenovo. Hope this helps

Great performance, used for the entire classroom of 35 people. Excellent communication, latest Android operating system, pre-installed apps and generous internal memory with expansion memory card. No any problem at all and a lot of fun for both newcomers, experienced Android users and, hey. great pleasure for those who did not have Android devices before. I would warmly recommend this android tablet.

Bough this for my mother while she was visiting as she had been talking about getting one. It was easy for her to understand since she had a Droid phone anyway. She wanted it for games (She Loves Solitaire and other card games) and Facebook. She Loves it! She is now using it more like a laptop and rarely turns on her computer any more. Great for Older and Younger users. Power users may be disappointed, but should be looking elsewhere anyway if they are true power users.

This is a good entry level tablet. Screen is large and battery decent.

My first tablet! I was shopping for an entry level tablet that wouldn't break my bank. Found the Acer Iconia 8 for less than $100. Great for ebooks, games, and web browsing. Expandable with miniSD card to 128GB. Good camera. Plenty of speed with Android OS. If you are looking for a good quality tablet, but do not want to spend a lot of money, buy this!!!!

I purchased two of these tablets for my children ages 7 and 11 after reading many reviews. These tablets are perfect for my kids. The screen is an inch larger than most tablets in this price range. Camera works good. Processor is a decent speed. Connected to my wireless network without a hitch. I recommend to any one on a budget, especially for the kiddies.

Great tablet for my 6 year old daughter. Easy to use. Battery can last for a couple days.

The tablet is light weight and the screen is very crisp But battery life could be better.

I found the Acer Iconia One 8 inch tablet to be a “must have” to accompany one on his or her daily activities because of its ease of usage and user friendly features! The following are the tablet’s pros and cons: Pros  Setup-the setup process was rapid. The system requested my Internet password and accepted it immediately.  The picture quality is very clear.  16 gigabytes are sufficient for a tablet of this size.  The battery life seems to be very good.  Android Lollipop (5.1) seems to be functional without major lags. I have had previous versions such as Froyo and Jelly Bean which both had their functioning issues.  The device is so light in the hand which is a huge plus for me!  Acer includes a support card within the box with a toll free number for customers in the event customers have questions or encounters problems which provide a measure of peace of mind after purchasing.  Android has a great app market! Cons:  Cord to charger is too short in length.  Sound quality is not the best.  The device could use 2 gigabytes of ram as opposed to 1 which would significantly strengthen overall performance. I do recommend this tablet for someone who wants to purchase a good tablet with viable features but maybe restricted to a budget. Also, if you are a book reader, I highly recommend this device because of the long battery performance and how comfortable feeling it is within the hands.

I was just looking for a basic cheap tablet to use for work. This one fit the bill. The screen isn't that great but its processor moved along quickly enough for filling in PDF documents, which is what I was using it for.

I got this for my Dad for father's day. He is in his seventies and likes to play games. He loves this tablet, just t he right size,not to large or small for him. I would recommend this for anyone, not looking to spend a lot.

I like the Acer B1-850 specs although I previously had an Acer A1-840 and the display seemed to be a bit more clear as well as the overall sound coming from the Acer A1. Overall I have had much luck with these tablets and think they are an awesome deal for the price.

Bought this to upgrade from my 10 inch tablet. Wanted a smaller size for easier handling on trips. Has done everything I expected for the price. Played a few games, watch some videos and listened to music. Plenty of storage thanks to the micro SD slot.

I'm a dinosour so I'm still learning all the different things that you can do,on this tablet. I want to use it for music for my classes. The best thing it's taking your music with you and accesing it. I still don't know all the things that I can do but I'm learning, patience lots of it. HIGHLY RECOMENDED.

1st tablet and I love it! It is convenient and stylish. Good quality, speed and performance. Holds 8 or 16 gigs of memory, lots of useful apps. Cost about 80 to 90 bucks. Geek Squad assistance and Acer protection. Absolutely love it!

I got the tablet for my son. He loves getting educational apps. Battery life on this Acer is more than 3hrs. With other tablets they would last no more than 2hrs. Speed is great. He's happy so I'm happy.

Life this it's simple and basic for beginners . For some that are not tech savvy,this definitely is easy to operate. It's screen size is adequate for acquiring information and perfect for browsing the web. I definitely recommend this product.

My son always picked up my tablet when I was not using it. While he's only 12 years of age, I thought this tablet at the price would be good for him. I was right. He sleeps with "his" new tablet next to him. Thanks Best Buy!!
