I received this tablet about a week ago, and here are my findings. For the price: excellent. Is it perfect? No. Did I expect perfection out of a tablet of this price? No. Screen: The screen quality is spot on for a budget tablet, better than expected. The only issue I have with the tablet in general is a glare off of the screen. Sometimes in certain light it is impossible to use. I can use other tablets (albite much more expensive tablets with anti-reflective glass) in the same light with no issues. Battery life: Good. Not as good as more expensive tablets, but again...great for what you are buying. I easily get a few days of general use out of it. Performance: For basic games (plants vs zombies is my test game) it performs well. Touch screen is responsive, and the load times are acceptable. There is some lag when using the pinch to zoom gesture on many apps, Chrome and Maps for example. I did have the tablet completely freeze on me for a few minutes in Chrome while swiping through a feature rich website. Camera: Decent. You won't be taking wedding pictures with this tablet. It has all the normal Android camera settings and features, which is nice, but no flash, and the quality is decent. Build quality: Good. Plastic feeling, but not overall cheap feeling. It does feel solid in your hand, but obviously not nearly as solid as other brands aluminum and glass tablets (that cost 7 times as much). Overall: For a budget tablet, it is a great buy. If you want to do serious gaming, don't think about it. For email, web, small games...it is perfect.

Acer is breaking the mold for such a low cost tablet. I know its not even meant to be close to an iPad so with that out of the way lets start the review. I am a big Apple user and have a hard time with the Android system. Not because I don't know how to use it, I just don't find it as user friendly or as fluid. Right off the start in the set up stages I notice how delayed the reaction is when I press something on the screen, that and how mush more pressure you must apply to get a reaction from the tablet. This seems to be the normal with Android, just not as responsive as Apple products. I am an average sized guy and I find it real east to hold (thumb to pinky) with one hand. Excellent grip on the back of the tablet as well. It feels a bit lighter than my iPad mini 4 which can help after hours of use. It handled any game I tossed at it but the lag from pressing a button to it reacting was frustrating. This wasn't an issue once the game was started. Don't get me wrong I think this is an excellent tablet compared to others at, below or slightly above its price range. You will be hard pressed to find a tablet of this caliber maybe even up to double of the price of this tablet. The screen color and clarity are top notch. The camera takes fantastic pictures and the battery life seems superb. I also loved the 128GB Micro SD card expansion slot. Card is not included but does give the option for storing pictures or adding drive space. Has some great "EZ" features to make waking the unit up and taking screen shots very easy. Also has a cool optimizer tool that when pressed removes unwanted files and closes apps to speed up the tablet, all with one press of the button right on the main screen. Great child controls for time and content. Superb feature to keep your child from being glued to a tablet or cellular device. Helps them to look out the window once and a while or go outside and play. If you aren't use to iOS then this is a fantastic tablet for you. Or for a child or coffee table tablet. This was the only reason I couldn't give it five stars. Mine will for sure become a coffee table tablet for a quick google search or for guest to use.

this product was probably one of my worst purchases. It had to be returned as the first one quit working, The pad got hot easily. Then the second one died immediately after our warranty expired. ALSO tons of issues. would not repeat purchase this product.

It's an okay tablet to give to a kid. Limited due to it being an android tablet but still okay for its price.

This Acer tablet was a replacement for one that I had purchased over 2 years ago. The original Acer tablet was purchased as a gift for special needs child. The tablet gets a great deal of use and is held up quite well. I'm buying this again because the battery it's starting to wear out on the original tablet. This tablet has held up well under high Daily use.

I needed a portable version of my ACER laptop, and it is suitable.
