Ive had nothing but problems
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just really started using it, due to illness, but there are a few things Im not happy with. First, this is when fully charged, it just shuts down. Another thing is also charging it, I have to wiggle the plug to get it to charge. I am going to contact Best Buy.

Horrible- avoid at all costs
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a Windows tablet that had decent specs and came upon this one . I didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars, and this looked promising. The reviews seemed okay, so I went over to my local bestbuy and got it. Boy did I regret that. The tablet was very sluggish, constantly had wireless issues, and attempting to browse the Internet became a nightmare. The pages took ages to load and watching videos was impossible due to the fact that it constantly buffered every 15 seconds. I knew it wasn't a problem with my Internet or anything, since I had a 2 year old acer tablet that worked perfectly fine. But still, I gave it the benefit of the doubt, and deluded myself into thinking that maybe it just needed updates. So I went over to Windows updates and downloaded the latest firmware. No difference. Took it back the next day and got an android Lenovo yoga instead. World of difference.

It's okay for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I got this, it needed a windows update. It didn't have enough memory to even do the update. I had to go purchase a thumb drive to download the windows update onto. Granted, I only got this to do Finances on so it works for that. Basically a digital wallet that I only connect to the internet when I am paying bills.

Great for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a gift. It was easy to setup and includes a lot. It's very sturdy and durable. The tablet secures well to the keyboard but I worry about the connections eventually wearing out. Overall, it's easy to use and worth every penny.

Very fair price for a laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My grandson was so happy with the computer I purchased. He loved the fact that you could use it as a tablet and so did I. I feel the price was right for such a quality item.

no instructions
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not being tech savy, I have no idea how to set up to make it functional. I think would be fine if you know how to set up.

not keeping time
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had an Acer Switch 10 before this purchase and it worked fine for a few years, then gave up the ghost. I found this One 10, pretty much the same product at a great price and brought it home. I had no problems until I had an update and now the clock will not keep time, and the space bar is not working 100% of the time. When I have time I am taking this one back. Otherwise it seems to be a good machine and effective to the purpose I bought it. I now see on-ine many people have had this problem and wish Best Buy and Acer would warn people about this issue and Acer correct this before more units are sold.

Adequate, but a little slow.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a great laptop/tablet until it started turning off on me, then i had to do a factory restore 3 times after that it wouldnt even let me log into my microsoft account which was the main reason i got this item. i returned it THREE times and EVERY single one did this to me. i finally hot the insignia laptop/tablet and love it although the gaming isnt as good as the acer was.

Zippy little computer for what I need
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this computer for less than a week but already I love it! I will separate my review into a few sections. (I am actually writing this review on my Acer One 10.) Keyboard: I also have a 16" Acer Aspire that's a couple years old, and the keyboards feel very similar, so typing on the Acer One is a breeze. I'm surprised at how spacious the keyboard is, and the keys feel very nice when typing. This was important to me because my primary reason for purchasing this device was typing notes in my college classes. It's very easy to attach and separate the tablet from the keyboard. There is also a full-sized USB port on the side which is so important for productivity for me. I'm not sure how I feel about the touchpad yet. The motion to scroll is opposite what I'm used to on my bigger Acer laptop so I'm fighting muscle memory half the time. And it's a little hard to hold down the left click button and move the pointer with one hand. So I have to do the click and drag motion with two hands on the touchpad. The tablet and keyboard are held together by magnets so once connected, the unit feels very sturdy. I can pick it up by the tablet and the keyboard is very firmly still attached with no risk of falling. Screen: The 10" screen is a nice, portable size, but large enough to be productive. Even at 25% brightness, it feels bright and has vibrant colors. There is almost no distortion, even when viewing at extreme angles. I've used it under some pretty bright lights and been able to see the screen just fine. Audio: It's fine when watching YouTube or Netflix videos in a quiet room. But the audio was definitely quiet when I was on a Skype call with my dad. The speakers are at the back of the tablet, instead of on the edges like some tablets. So the sound is projected away from you. The quality is crisp, but I usually listen with earbuds so I don't bother my room mates. Performance: It is very responsive and the 2 GB of RAM is plenty fast enough for me. So far it hasn't stuttered at all; I've mostly been editing word documents and writing in One Note, browsing on Chrome (so far up to 8 tabs at once and no issues), and watching Netflix. I'm not a gamer, so I can't tell you how it would perform when playing games. It comes with very little bloatware pre-installed which was nice. Be aware that while it has 32 GB, some of that storage is being used for the OS, so you will actually have about 16 GB to use. I got a 64 GB microSD card and I don't think I'll run out of space. Battery: I haven't really timed the use from a full charge to dead battery, but I seem to be getting more like 8 hours, which is more than the advertised 7. I just figured out that there are some settings so you can have it automatically turn off the wifi signal and other things while sleeping, which helps boost battery life. Software: my other computer runs Windows 7. I haven't had much experience with Windows 8, but what little I did have made me hate it. It just didn't feel very user friendly. I've grown up using Windows, starting with Windows '98. So far, I really like Windows 10. Almost everything is in the places I'm familiar with. The start menu is back to being a menu that pops up from the bottom corner (but there is a setting to make it a full-screen menu if you liked that feature of Win 8). The design and themes are still very customizable. I don't really like the new Edge browser because I can't add extensions (pinterest button is so handy for me!) but it's light years better than Explorer. I did have issues at first with the App Store closing immediately after I tried to open it every time. Microsoft help center couldn't fix it remotely. I was able to get it to work after going to the app store through my Chrome browser and when I tried to download an app from there, it forced the app store program to open and it's worked fine ever since. Overall build quality/feel: the tablet back is made of brushed metal which looks and feels great in the hand. It's a comfortable shape to hold. The keyboard is made of plastic but feels very solid, with no twist, give or creaking when handled. When tablet and keyboard are connected, it closes and opens just like a netbook or laptop. My only wish is that there was a door over the microSD slot. In conclusion, I think this is an incredibly great device for the under-$200 price I paid. Acer is a great company and I've had great experiences with their products. I highly recommend it!

Black Screen o death
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been through two of these so far. This most recent one had a sensitive touch pad. Easy enough to reinstall driver. The bigger issue is the BIOS time and black screens. It started happening after an auto-update from Windows (which itself took an extremely long time). When you start the computer, it takes literately forever, and sometimes requires several restarts just to load. Once it's running, it black screens frequently as well as doing some other strange things. I will try one more - because it was a great deal and I'm still within the return policy - but word to the wise, if you buy this, use it frequently in the 2 week return period so you don't get stuck with a dud.
