First of all, Battery life is short and the fan is very loud, that's expected on a gaming laptop. The screen is good, I can't say anything about it. It's a good price for its components. However, it's only good when it can actually "perform". Lags and crashes always occur when gaming even when the laptop is plugged. The screen often freezes and the entire laptop is irresponsive sometimes. I am very disappointed.

Horrible. What kind gaming laptop that doesnt worn. Every time i am playing a game, it freezes up every 15 minutes. Unbearable. Useless. Tired of force shut down and restarrt. Its excellent foe working on normal office task or browsing internet. But big no on gaming. Freezea up!

Product is great but BestBuy sucks. I was going to recommend this through my YouTube channel but BestBuy denied my affiliate application. I was going to also buy an iPad and other products but because I couldn’t recommend them so I purchsed from another retailer that approved my affiliate application.

It came in nice but i got a faulty one with crackling and super low audio. Not a fun experience returning it.

Too much bloatware from Windows. Can't disable windows defender which constantly consumes over 30% of the ram memory. Because of this I can not run adobe creative cloud. The apps keep crashing due to lack of memory. It's sad my old alienware that is 10 years old with half the memory and an older processor works better than this computer because of all the crappy bloatware from Microsoft. Windows 10 blows.

Had this computer for 14 months. Lightly used and just died after using it for 2 minutes today. Seems too convenient it dies for no reason 2 months after the warranty. Not built to last.

Junk. Freezes up, mouse don't work all the time. Don't waste your money. Battery is horrible.

I have used Acer products in the past and they have always been a good value for the price of them. Especially their budget end Nitro gaming laptops. This is the first Predator laptop I have used and it is a good value as well. You get a good screen, solid cpu and gpu with 16GB of DDR5 RAM as well. Specs: Intel i7-13700HX Nividia RTX 4060 16GB of DDR5 RAM at 4800mhz both are SODIMM slots upgradable to 32GB 2 m.2 slots with 1 slot having 1TB SSD 4 zone RGB keyboard Setting up the laptop is typical Windows 11 setup long and annoying but that isn't Acer's fault. these day's OEM's want to make laptops thinner and thus solder on the RAM to the motherboard. But with this laptop it's a thick boy and has 2 slots for RAM so you can upgrade the RAM and an extra slot for another SSD. In terms of performance the intel i7 is great for gaming and a solid performer. The 4060 is fine and easily play all games at 1080P. at QHD it might have some issues if you want to play on the highest settings. Otherwise lower the settings and you'll be fine. The screen is a QHD+ screen at 165 hz and is 100% of the SRGB but only like 75% P3. Solid for gaming though. Gets around 500 Nits which is plenty bright and good compared to the Nitro line which usually comes with screens that aren't that bright. The only con with this laptop is the keyboard. It is squishy and not that great I find compared to other keyboards from Lenovo and Apple. But it does the job. Also the right shift key is to small and I accidently push the up arrow instead. If this is your only laptop I think you'll be fine with it and get used to it but I use a MacBook for school and going between both of them I haven't gotten used to it yet.

It was nice at first. Had it for 2 months. Then it started freezing up on me while I was working. I’m a dj so I need something that’s gonna work nonstop at all times. It could barely run YouTube and my dj app at the same time. It was my first acer, never again.

GPU fan died at 12 month mark, black screen after 14 months. I never had such an awful experience with a laptop before. Don’t buy this, try another one.

Will be returning, audio issues. When I tried to use my webcam or my audio interface, the sound driver completely stopped working until I unplugged it and rebooted. Sad because otherwise it seems like a decent rig.

Not a good product. I lost the board with in a year.

This is an awesome beast of a gaming laptop! Nowadays laptops come preloaded with Microsoft's operating system which always needs updating. I had no problem with the updates and everything ran quickly and smoothly. I have been a fan of Acer products and own several laptops which till this day continue to perform flawlessly! The product doesn't come with a DVD/CD slot which is the norm today. Having a one terabyte solid state hard drive is more than enough space to download your favorite games. RAM is upgradable as the memory is not soldered to the board (obviously a good thing). After downloading some of my favorite games I put this laptop through its paces. Admittedly I am not a “super” hardcore gamer, but I experienced no issues. Screen colors were vibrant and there was no screen tearing (even at most of "my preferred" settings), FPS were pushed (not maxed), and the overall visual quality was excellent. The Acer model has a backlit keyboard. I love keyboards which have this option as I always find myself working in a dimly lit room or no light at all. The overall feel of the keyboard was nice and responsive. The trackpad was of good size and response to finger movements was excellent. A great word on the laptops operating temperature, stellar! This unit runs super cool even under the most demanding situations. When the fans kick in at extreme settings the unit does become noisy. The performance of this laptop when multi-taking was superb. There was no noticeable bog down and it handled like a super expensive model. Boot-up time is fast, as this product has a solid-state drive. The launching of programs is snappy and really quick. Predator sense stopped working and can no longer return. Thing can only handle gaming with the app and it will not work.

Mouse pad mainly unresponsive most of the time. For the price games lag pretty hard on this laptop. Do not recommend at all.

The Acer Predator Helios Neo is a solid device with lots of power, but it lacks some premium features. First, this laptop has a ton of ports. I count 3 USB-A ports, a micro-SD card reader, a headphone jack, an Ethernet port, 2 USB-C ports, and a full-size HDMI port. My only complaint about the ports is that the HDMI ports and USB-C ports are awkwardly placed on the back of the device. This laptop does not support Windows Hello sign-in options. You won't be able to use your facial recognition or your fingerprint to login. These are premium features that I've gotten accustomed to on my previous devices, and I'm feeling their absence here. The keyboard lighting is broken up into 4 zones and has a handful of options in terms of behaviors. It's comfortable enough to type on, but I wasn't terribly impressed by it. The number pad is finicky. It wasn't until I'd updated the computer a few times that it consistently worked after each reboot without hitting the number lock key. The keyboard deck itself is plastic, but it feels pretty solid. I didn't experience much in the way of keyboard flex. I was disappointed by the speakers. They didn't get terribly loud, and they felt rather "anemic" for lack of a better term. The laptop is fairly chunky, and the power brick is enormous. I was surprised by just how heavy this laptop was. As a whole, the laptop doesn't have much of a "gamer aesthetic." Aside from some angular lines along the rear of the laptop, and the multi-color keyboard backlighting, there isn't much to call this out as a gaming laptop. If you're looking for something more "subdued," then this would probably be the laptop for you. In terms of power, this laptop didn't have any issues tackling anything that I threw at it. All of my games booted up quickly and ran just fine. The 1TB hard drive is more than adequate for me to fit a good assortment of games on. The laptop did come with some bloatware that I had to clear off. I would recommend keeping the "Predator Sense" app though as it allows you to control the keyboard backlighting as well as some other behaviors. This is a very capable laptop. It's not terribly showy, but it has more than enough power to get the job done.

The 4060 graphics is next level with the intel i7 processor and the screens steals the show

The predator Helios neo 16 is a wonderful laptop. It's powerful and runs everything I want to play. It was a breeze changing out the ram and insetting the second ssd. I would highly recommend

Better than an entry level gaming laptop, need to upgrade the ram and add some cooling device to help cool down this laptop, especially if you play games a lot, this thing will heat up fast.
