I am an apple/mac user and was thinking of getting something for my 1st grader which is somewhat in this price range. Got it during black friday for $179 and it was so nice that i got another one to give as a present to my mom.

Good laptop the battery lasts all day.love the touch screen option and the 360 option makes it so much more easier to use.

bought this for my 11 year old daughter, she needs it for school. Decided to splurge on the touch screen. She loves it. i use it on occasion and I will probably buy myself one for travel if it goes on sale again. Does everything we need it for and seems to be sturdy and great screen image and sound. key board not flimsy. I'm a MAC user, and this is a good alternate

Works great for email and browsing, online shopping and banking. Very fast. Only downside is that, it cannot connect to my home cloud easily. Seems to be typical of Chrome book and I hope that it will get resolved one day.

I own three Acer products. My first Acer product was the Acer netbook with Windows XP. My second Acer purchase was the Acer 11.6" Chromebook in white. Which leads me to my new Acer - R 11 2-in-1 11.6" Touch-Screen Chromebook - Intel Celeron - 4GB Memory - 16GB eMMC Flash Memory - White. I use my Acer Chromebook daily, for travel and as my main overall computer! I enjoy the ease of use of the touchscreen and using Google Chrome as my operating system works wonders for my daily online activities. The versatility of the Acer 2-in-1 design is every thing that I need to complete my day. Just because the Acer Chromebook is 11.6", that doesn't mean that it is slow by any means! I will continue to purchase Acer Chromebooks and Acer products! This Acer is a winner!

My daughter loves the touchscreen. So she called dibs on it. It was my Chromebook for less than half an hour. The tent mode is best when my daughter at her table doing her homework. Mostly she used it the tablet mode.

The Acer R11 is a fine Chromebook for young and little kids. It is a little hard to set up for them, (like web restrictions) but once is done, works great! Useful for school work and internet browsing. Very nice gift for a young teenager!

My mom currently has a 9.6inch samsung tablet. At 70 yrs old even that gets hard to see at times. The larger tablets like the i pad pro are about $800 .for $250 she gets a basic laptop but a large tablet with full access to google play

Other than the Battery Life which is lucky to last 5 hours on standby, I would recommend this Laptop. Solid speed. I am a fan of the Chrombook platform. I also purchased an external hard dive which has offset the limited hard drive

I like this Chromebooks size and weight. Everybody that sees it wants one. Touch screen just makes it next level in my opinion.

This chrome book is supposed to be able to flip the screen over 270 degrees. Every time we did that, we could not get it to “wake up” after we opened it. We read online that tapping the wires that run through the hinges works, so we tried it. Actually, we whacked it pretty hard on the hinges. It worked. We no longer flip it past 135 degrees and it works great. Disappointing but we got it on sale and as long as it works it is very slimline, fast, and ergonomically satisfying to use.

Purchased this for my husband who was wanting a chromebook, its light and easy to use. Really enjoy the touchscreen as well!

So far this little chromebook has worked wonders. If you dont need all the memory space from a regular laptop then, this is a great alternative. its been fast for browsing. I have been able to fill out a few forms and email without a glitch. Have watched Netflix and Hulu with no problems and my son has even spent some time on youtube. Not bad at all. I havent hooked it up to a printer yet which i will be doing soon. Ill see how that works.. But so far, for the money this little thing is a winner.

Good chromebook with touchscreen. 16GB on the low side, but there's a full-sized SD card slot and USB ports for storage expansion. Starts up quickly and no Windows & Anti-Virus updates all the time. Chrome updates happen in the background and update when you restart. Chromebooks will let you access web sites and do basic word processing, spreadsheets, photo editing, etc, but they're not for people who need to install software. I can access my work (through Citrix extension). Biggest issue is printing.

i wanted to try a chromebook to see what the hype was all about. I didnt like the streambook when tried that. the platform is a little different than i am used to but am starting to get used to it. I think the flash memory means that there is no or limited storage so it comes with the cloud to store your files etc...and you can use the cloud with all your devices. the r-11 has 4 gig ram so it loads websites pretty fast and has full size usb. I like the touch screen and tent features. works great if you want to surf, youtube or steam etc..

After owning the first pilot CR-48 Chromebook before they were released to the public we were always in search of the next best model. Acer hit it out of the park with this model. Great, sturdy feel to the hinges, awesome screen size, wonderful battery life. Four of us in the household each use the little dynamo for various uses and its stood up to all of our different configurations whether its a laptop, tablet, folded like a tent, or propped up for screen only use. We love this device!

This chromebook is durable, lightweight and highly functional. I bought it for my son to do his homework. He doesn't use it for recreation. It also functions as a tablet. You can fliatten it because of the hinge mechanism. The screen is Guerilla glass, so it can withstand bumps and drops. It has a keyboard and a touchscreen. My only criticism is the TouchPad. It takes substantial pressure for it to respond. That being said, I'd still recommend this Chromebook for anyone who needs laptop/tablet functionality without the laptop size.

This Chromebook is rated one of the best. The speed, battery life, light weight and ability to download apps is great!

Bought this for Christmas for my high school daughter. Perfect for her to get school work done and do “teenage things” like Netflix and YouTube

Great Chromebook. The keyboard is one of the best I've ever used, and the touch screen is accurate and responsive. Works great for everything I do (email, streaming music and video, documents)
