The Acer R11 was purchased for our elementary student who needs a computer for school work and a tablet for fun. It's not heavy, easy to use and compact enough to store away when not in use or take on the road if needed to.

Needed to make a last minute purchase for my daughter who is taking classes online. A laptop was out of our budget at the moment so checked into Chromebook, The model we were looking at was on sale and unfortunately out of stock, but our sales associate made a call and found the model at another location within driving distance.

It's a decent laptop for the price. It can handle everything I've needed it to do so far without a problem. Mostly, internet browsing, social media, and netflix. ChromeOS is a bit limited, but I knew that before the purchase. Just a reminder that you can't install programs like Microsoft Office or Photoshop and the apps in the store are rather limited. Cloud storage does come with it, but I think there's a limit to how long it's going to be free. It's made of plastic but the build feels solid. The hinges are metal so I can open and close the screen with confidence. The touchscreen is responsive and the screen has a great resolution. I thought the ability to turn into a tablet was a neat feature when purchasing but I haven't really used the feature since, which makes me think purchasing the cheaper touchscreen model could have worked for me

I got the product in open box. The quality of the product was great. The touch was very responsive and incredibly fast. Happy that I got this product. Ideal for those who just press and see videos online.

Easy to set up, does exactly what its suppossed to.

I've used this on a daily basis as my primary computer outside the office (stuck with Win7 there) for just over a month. Some observations: quality keyboard feel and operation, enjoy the tablet conversion, solid performance. Some reservations: Battery life is a bit unpredictable, but maybe I am using it for longer periods than I think. Within the last week the tablet function quit. There is no online support for this precise issue. However I learned how to Powerwash, and I was prepared to learn (reluctantly) how to hard-reset the OS. However after Powerwashing, the tablet function returned. Wow. Nice. This unit is an upgrade from a three-year old C720 Acer that has been a champ and continues to serve in my household. I got the 16gb ssd model, and I'll just plug a high-performance 128 or 256 gb SD in if I need more local space.

My daughter is able to use this to do her homework.
