I love my new monitor. The extra real-estate is fantastic. I can multitask like never before. The bled thru from the background light in dark scenes is minimal. How often are you using a monitor in total darkness anyways? I did wish it would swivel side to side. Its great for seeing wider in games and perfect for watching movies in Cinema.

It's wide enough to enjoy the surround feeling but not tall enough to be viable for console gaming in my opinion. really awesome, wish I had three.

The bright colors on this monitor are fantastic. The base is rock solid and one of the best I have seen. Several reviews complain about the bleed thru on black screens but it doesn't seem to bother me.

I walked into my local Best Buy one day asking about this refurbished monitor and it was in stock and I placed my order in store and had the item shipped to my house apparently all the way from Texas was the closest available monitor.
It came in a brown box with papers stating that it was indeed a refurbished acer product ( not the retail box) with an HDMI cable,Display port, and some kind of USB cable no idea what I'd use it for but it's there, and of course the power cord/brick.
This being a Refurbished monitor I expected there to maybe be an issue or 2 for example exesive back lick bleed/IPS glow or simply the panel did not over clock to 100hz successfully( acer dose not guarantee that any X34 monitors can overclock to 100hz it is luck of the draw) but after plunging the monitor in I have had no issues yet. Using " dead pixel buddy " I checked for any dead pixels in which there are none at all. I then proceeded to overclock my monitor to 100hz and used blurbusters UFO check to make sure it was true 100hz and it is. This panel has almost no back light bleed at all so little in fact in a dark room using a full black screen I had to squint just to see any at all.
All and all I got very lucky that this monitor was even in stock and luckier that it has zero defects( that I have yet to see at least ) the stars aligned for me is all I can say. Just know that no monitor is the same and you might not get as lucky
