    Great gaming monitor!

First off: The pic on BB’s website is outdated! The new one has a much thinner bezel. I needed a gaming monitor for my Xbox One X because playing on a 40 inch 4K TV gives me headache. Plus my eyes gets tired quick. Looked at Best Buy for gaming monitors and this one caught my eye. It has sharp visuals that I couldn’t believe it was only 1080p! So I bought it, got it home and on to calibration. I wish the manual is a bit more detailed but the monitor’s menu was easy to learn nonetheless. Overall, I’m very happy with this one. Sharp visuals for a 1080p monitor. A 1ms response time and very vibrant colors! Viewing angles aren’t too bad.

I bought this monitor in March of 2018 and I have been more than satisfied with its performance. Fantastic resolution, vivid colors, fast refresh and response, just overall a beastly monitor. Yesterday however, October 2019, in the middle of playing a game, the monitor screen went completely white. The only thing it could display was a blank white screen. I had a second monitor and that one worked fine, it displayed correctly. For the broken monitor, i tried switching from display port to HDMI, switching to a different computer and running a deep computer scan. Nothing mattered, it was just a white screen. I couldn't even change the monitor settings via the control keys on the back because the screen stayed blank and white. To my dismay, when i checked online, I noticed other people with Acer products have also experienced this problem (nothing new i guess). What i couldn't find online was a solution that worked. Good news, apparently this monitor is covered by Acer warranty and they will fix it for free. Bad news is you pay for shipping. I payed 35 for shipping but that is because i packaged the monitor myself (good thing i still had the original box), FED Ex estimated another 100 dollars if i want them to package it.

Honestly, I bought these out of urgent need at the start of Covid-19 lockdowns in my state. My job already allowed me to work from home on occasion but with things moving to 100% WFH for the foreseeable future, I rushed to Best Buy to get anything I could find that day and they had 2 of these in stock and the rest were $600 top of the line gaming monitors. For being in the middle price point, these are fantastic monitors. I bought 2 so I had dual monitors for work, but the picture quality is stellar, setup was beyond easy, the stands are super quality and very sturdy, and the height adjustment with the rotation for vertical viewing is a super nice feature and works incredibly well. You do need to tilt the monitor outward on the bottom a bit to compensate for the size of the screen in relation to the stands max height, but at most it’s about 5-10 degrees and it slides right around on the spot. The base also rotates, which I didn’t initially realize. Depending on how tight you screw the screw on the bottom, it can be kind of difficult to rotate, but considering everything is to ensure the safety of the monitors, it’s a very small price to pay. I have not used these for true gaming yet, just work, but based on my experience and image quality of even more work desktop displayed is reason enough for me to feel confident these will be perfect for gaming as well. DisplayPort cords come included, but if your computer doesn’t have a DP input, HDMI is just as good. As well, these will auto-sense inputs for when one device turns off but you want to switch to another. Only thing to note about this is that it cycles each input before it turns off. As an example, when I shutdown my laptop and no other devices or cords are connected, the monitor will show that its switching to the other modes then proceed to go into auto-sleep mode. I turned the Auto-sense function off so that they just sleep right away and don’t look for anything else. Considering it takes the click of a button to switch the input displayed on the monitor at any given time, this was not at all a burden for me. If you’re looking for a monitor that won’t break the bank but makes it look like you robbed it instead, then you won’t regret picking up one (or two) of these. :)

I use this monitor for gaming, and I’m happy with it. Don’t rely on the speaker for sound. It’s horrible. But the picture is great. I’ve had for a week or so, and today I had a couple of stuck pixels pop up, which scared me, but I was able to rub them and they disappeared. Monitor is bigger than I was expecting. Don’t think I want to get an ultra wide anymore when I get a second monitor. This is perfect.

I bought this monitor for console gaming (Xbox One) and to make working from home easier. So far it's been very good! A 27" screen is a lot bigger than I expected and is more than plenty for the work I'm doing. As other reviews have stated, the product pictures Best Buy has are a bit outdated. This current screen has very minimal bezels. It only has the thick bezel at the bottom. One thing to note is that the color isn't the greatest out of the box and need some playing around with. I did some research and the following color settings is the best I've found for my uses (Call of Duty on Xbox and looking at graphs for work.) Picture: - Brightness: 50 - Contrast: 45 - Black Level: 3 - Blue Light: Off - ACM: Off Color: - Gamma: 2.4 - Color temp: User ---- R Gain: 55 ---- G Gain: 52 ---- B Gain: 50 ---- All color bias to 49 sRGB mode: off 6-axis hue: Default 6-axis Saturate: Adjust all to 55 except Yellow Saturate to 59. Again, these are the best settings I've found that work for me. Decided to post them here as it took a bit of Googling around to find something that works. Hopefully this helps out other people.

Out of the box, setup was easy (as a monitor should be). After the first time I cleaned the screen, one pixel came loose in the upper right quarter, but I was able to gently press it back into place. It occasionally comes loose and needs a little fiddling, and that pixel is why this product lost a star. Image quality is excellent, colors are great, refresh rate can't be beat. OSD is unnecessarily complex and the brightness seems...very intense, but I've already gotten used to it. 4/5 would buy again, amd Epstein didn't kill himself.

I thought people were kidding when they say "once you game on 144 Hz you'll never be able to play on 60Hz again", but boy does it make a difference! I love this monitor and can't wait to get another one. Another plus with this monitor is that it's G-SYNC compatible which is awesome. If you're thinking about getting this... STOP THINKING! just do it :)

I just bought this Monitor last week and being happy to have this on a nice deal for sale. Then the screen stated to act up on me when i'm playing on the playstation 4 console with live streaming and playing regular games on it. Then when i'm playing on the xbox one console the monitor is working fine. I have also changed out the HDMI on the playstation 4 with seeing if it would fix the problem and its still giving me screen problems. This monitor is really good trust me, but i'm to return it and hope they have a replacement... see picture in the attachment with what i am showing.

I’ve never used anything higher than a 60hz refresh rate until I purchased the Acer. This monitor is fantastic, the build quality is there. The refresh rate to 144hz is unbelievable and I’ll never go back.

I purchased 2 of these as a set for my production office. for dual monitor workspace. The main monitor sometimes is slow, my Windows Start menu appears half way for a second sometimes. When they go to sleep, and I wake them up my programs are all shifted to the main monitor, I have to re-organize my workspace. just to clarify this did not happen with my old 2 monitors (Gateway 2401FHD 1920x1200 10 years old) I love that I can mount them on my vesa pole stand and they are not too heavy. Color tint of the panels is way off, not consistent with each other, this is not color settings believe me I tried. the TN Panel is a different color all together (see Picture). I really want to love these, but I cannot live with the Color differences between the 2. It's like 2 totally different monitors, not even close. If I had only one of these I might not have noticed it Also at the time of this writing, these monitors are not on the Nvidia list of Certified G-Sync monitor. Yes as of Jan 15 Geforce Graphic cards work with Freesync monitors, but some of these freeSync monitors Nvidia blames are sloppy built FreeSync and G-Sync will not correctly display all frames. it gets choppy& artifacting (gaming). As you can in the pictures the colors off really bad. too many reasons for me to keep these I will be returning them soon. I would still recommend these to someone if you are only getting 1, and not plan on using G-Sync which as of this writing is probably not the case anyway. I am returning mainly due to dead pixels, and color issue. Pros: Price Point for 1080P is great No bezel on top and sides 144HZ refresh rate FreeSync 400 cdm/brightness Display port connection USB3 hub built in Speakers on board Cons: Panel Color discrepancies (See Pictures) 2 Dead pixels on one monitor Speakers really not good, but work Will not certify with Nvidia's G-Sync driver release.

    Definitely not smudge proof

This monitor has fantastic image quality and works well with videocard-heavy games such as Skyrim, Fallout, etc. With 100+ mods each, my games look extremely clear and I rarely have an issue with the frames per second. The adjustable height is huge plus. Only small performance issue is it can make a lot of my games overly-dark. However, my issues with this monitor are cosmetic. The base it stands on is weirdly shaped and takes up a lot of unnecessary desk space. The "film" (?) on the monitor does not react well with glare and if there is any lightsource behind you it will reflect on the screen which is very distracting. I've also found this same film does not clean easily. I've tried multiple methods and soft materials to clean the screen and I simply cannot get it back to normal. Smudges stick to it far too easily, making the screen look perpetually dirty. I also have a dog and cat, and when their hair floats around it gravitates straight to the screen. Wanna wipe away small hair? Well, there's some more fingermarks for you to clean. Overall, I would recommend this monitor for office use and first-time PC players. The quality is great, like I said, I just really can't get behind the base being so large and the screen's material. I plan on replacing this with another brand soon.

I got this Monitor for my Great Nephew. I didn’t even know Monitors like this were sold for gaming. So I looked up Gaming Monitors in Best Buy online. Best Buy had such a variety of Monitors and the prices were excellent, and fit my budget. His Mom took us down to Best Buy and the rest is history! We bought this Acer and he just Loves it!!

It was exactly what I was looking for. It's extremely solid and weighs a good bit too. I love all the different angles I can put the screen in. It also has 4 usb 3.0 ports. Two on the side and two on the bottom. If you want to use the full 144hz then use it with the Display Port cable. HDMI will only give you the standard 60hz. I'm with out a doubt very pleased with monitor.

This monitor is by far one of the best I've owned. I've had a Viewsonic 27" monitor for awhile, and a year ago I purchased two Acer monitors that went up to 75Hz. That's what lead me to this baby. I absolutely love the freesync technology and that it's compatible with Nvidia cards now! Plus the additional USB ports on this monitor come in handy. The image is beautiful and smooth. It also has a built in Refresh Rate Number function that displays your FPS in the top right corner.

I like the features this monitor offers such as adjustable stand, game modes with crosshair option, usb connectivity, and slim bezels. However the color is not great out of the box and it appears there is some significant clouding in the middle of the screen in an oval shape. Not sure if this is defective or a common occurrence. See photos.

Have a triple monitor setup with these for sim racing and they are superb. Great balance between performance and cost when comparing to other monitors. And, 95% of the time, I have no issues using Freesync with a 1080ti and latest nVidia drivers. Absolutely recommend these, especially at their price point.

This monitor looks great, usb pass-throughs are a nice feature. The shelf mine sits on is pretty high, so being able to lower it within an inch of the base was my biggest selling point besides the hz and response rate.
