My kids dragged me to see this movie last night. "Beatles' music?!? Ugh." I said... but I went anyway because Bono is in the movie. WOW!!! We were a bit late and came in while TV Carpio was singing the ever-annoying "I Wanna Hold Your Hand"; we were all captivated immediately! I loved the movie and especially loved every single second of music in it! I'd have bought the soundtrack on the way home if it had been available at midnight. Tonight I went to the discount store and saw the single-CD version, but I want it ALL, so I searched online for a store that carries this version locally. Can't wait to pick up two copies (one for me, one for a gift) tomorrow. If you're a Beatles fan, you should love the fresh voices and new arrangements. Even if you're not (like me), you will thrill to the surprise stars in the movie and the beautiful way these songs tell the story of life in the 60s. Can't wait to hear this CD tomorrow and even to see the movie again. Excellent all the way 'round!!!

I saw this movie on Saturday September 15th and immediately pre-ordered the Best Buy exclusive which has all the songs from this movie. This movie and these songs enthralled me from the first note to the last beat of the music. I am a fan of the Beatles and to hear some of my favorite songs brought to life in this movie was something I never thought I would see again without popping in a dvd of Yellow Submarine or any other Beatles movie. All of the singers on this cd can sing and Evan Rachel Wood was a surprise - who knew she could sing!! Dana Fuchs who plays Sadie might as well be Janis Joplin as she chanels every throaty growl she has into each song. I can't rave about this enough-see this movie, buy the exclusive and get the dvd when it comes out months from noe

I've been reading reviews about this deluxe edition and found that allegedly there are two versions. "The first version of the deluxe edition features 31 tracks - all of the vocal performances and one of the three instrumental tracks. This 31-track version is available solely at the Best Buy retail chain and in a digital version via iTunes. A second version of the deluxe edition is available at other retail outlets. The second version differs from the 31-track version in that it omits two tracks: "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" and "Why Don't We Do It In The Road?". The total time for these two missing tracks is 5 minutes." I was hoping since I purchased from Best Buy that I was getting the 31 track version but I got the 29 track version instead. Anyway, the CD is wonderful even without the additional tracks so no regrets!

I loved this movie! So obviously i would love the soundtrack! I wasnt around for the beatles era but ive heard most of there songs and i think the people in the movie who re-did these old songs did a fantastic job. the only unfortunate thing about this soundtrack is that it doesnt feature all of the songs from the motion picture but it has most of the good ones. [I had to get the rest of the songs from other sources]. I just think the songs are amazing and ive been listening to it everyday since ive gotten it which will be a week, tomorrow. FIVE STARS + TWO THUMBS US!

This movie is outstanding all due to the wonderful new arrangement of some great old Beatles tunes. The music selected for each part of the movie fits so well, you can't help but fall in love with the new sound and the picture it is portraying in front of you. Die hard Beatles fans may be a bit perturbed at the new arrangements, but go in with an open mind (and heart) and hear the sounds because it really sounds great and fresh. The soundtrack is sung by the movie cast, which is wonderful to know. It isn't dubbed for the movie.

If you didnt know that these songs where renditions of beatles songs it wouldent have matterd because the stars who remaid these songs makes it feel as if these songs where made spicifically for this movie and it goes above and beyond to make sure that it sound nothing like the originals. i have to admit i was never a beatles fan until i heard this cd the only disaponting thing about this cd is that they did not put "i want you/shes so heavy" a song in the movie that i belive was crucial to the film.

From the moment I heard that a movie was being made based on music by the Beatles I knew that I would buy the soundtrack. In my opinion, this is one of the best soundtracks I have ever purchased. The songs are some of the more famous Beatles songs, and they each have their own unique take on the originals. If you are a Beatles fan I would definitely recommend buying this album.

In the movie, "All you need is love" is the last song, and for a moment, when Jude looks at Lucy, you can hear "She loves you, yeah, yeah yeah" before the song ends. I really liked the detail, but it's not in the song in the soundtrack. Besides that small thing, this record's awesome. C'mon, if you liked the movie, you should totally own this!

This cd is a must have for anyone who has watched and loved Across the Universe! A definite new found appreciation for The Beatles after watching this movie and listening to this cd. I must have played Bono's version of "I am the Walrus" to the point of excess by now. Go out and buy it, you wont be disappointed!

If you love the beatles, you will definatly love this cd. My favorite songs are 1) I've just seen a face 2)All you need is Love 3) For the Benefit of Mr. Kite Jim Sturgess does a fantastic job acting as Jude in the movie, and his voice is insirational. This album is good, but if your not really into the beatles, it may not be for you. But I recommend the Deluxe edition over the other because of the second disc.

I loved this movie and CD - make sure you watch the movie first. Part of the fun of it is hearing the songs for the first time. The score is beautiful and well thought out. It definitely captures the beatles original ideas but puts a new spin on it.

I came away really uplifted! I was duly impressed with the song interpretations. As someone who's heard the originals literally 1000's of times, I can certainly say these songs perform no injustice to the boys.

If you love The Beatles then you will love this soundtrack from the movie Across the Universe. I loved each and every interpretation of classic Beatles songs that I have adored for years.

I love this soundtrack listen to it every second of everyday. Great way of interpreting the music into the movie Loved it Would recommend it to everyone that has taste in music

So glad Best Buy had this CD available, at a very good price, as it was not available via sharing from a friend's computer music library.

MY DAUGHTERS AND I LOVE THE CD AND LISTEN TO IT ALL THE TIME. WE DEFINITELY RECOMMEND IT. WE LOVE THE SONGS, LYRICS, SINGERS, EVERYTHING.

I really like this Album, it is full of very good songs, if you like his last two albums you'll really like this one a lot!!

i loved it but unfortunately some of my favorite songs from the movie are not included. it is spectacular but you might want to wait for the full soundtrack to come out.

This is a really great compilation of Beatles songs. If you are a Beatle fan you must add this CD to your collection.

I didn't really want to like this cd because I just feel like the original Beatles' songs were perfect as is. But, the movie was one of the best out that year, and when my daughter wanted the cd I have to admit that I enjoyed listening to it. My only criticism is that some of the female ballads come off a little too syrupy. But, other covers are great and overall it is an enjoyable cd!
