When i first saw the preview for this movie i fell inlove. Almost a year later did I finally get to see it and it was all the energy i had to find out as much as possible before i saw this movie. wether you like musicals, a love story, beatles or all 3 you will love this movie. yes there are some loose ends that needed to be tied but i think it has to do with the mer fact of the movie had to be shorten down. a must see

On the whole I love this movie and that It's different then others that I have seen. When I describe to others Across the universe, I mention that it has Moulin Rouge aspects. I think that because of the cinematography and the groovyness of some of the scenes. Such as when they go to the party, and after when they go to the circus.

If you like the Beatles, Janis Joplin, and Jimi Hendrix, you will probably love this movie! I thought the actors and actresses did an amazing job. I was quite impressed with their singing abilities. I can't stop listening to the soundtrack, and I find myself randomly humming certain songs. Buy this movie, and the soundtrack! You won't be disappointed.

Like most musicals, there are a couple of slow spots and the staging is awkward in some of the dance scenes. Overall, though, a lot of fun to watch with some of the best music ever written and strong performances of those songs by the actors -- including a cameo by Bono. If you're looking for a movie that really takes advantage of your blu-ray/HDTV capabilities, this is definitely one to watch. Special features include full performances of many of the songs.

The Picture Quality and Sound on this Blu-ray is excellent! Good story and I am not usually big on musicals but WOW. What an amazing visual and musical journey. I liked how the Beatles songs were arranged so they were unique and not carbon copies of the Beatles. The extras were really interesting.

Brilliant work of re-inventing Beatles music. The twist and turns of this movie are truely portrayed by the use of classic Beatles' songs, so much you almost forget that these songs have been around for over 30 years. You will look at the Beatles in a whole new light and fall in love with the characters and the plot.

I saw this in the Theatre and rushed to purchase this on DVD and was thrilled to see it again. I viewed this on a 62" LCD flatscrren, and the colors were vibrant, sound quality excellent, although it wasn't quite the same as viewing it in the theatre. I'd be interested in seeing the HD version. Overall, a stunning experience, with wonderful Beatles songs reinterpreted for a new generation.

I would recommend this movie to anyone who lived through the late sixties as a teen or 20 something. Wonderful music adaptations - wonderful weaving of storyline and music without getting too cheesy - lot's of insider comments. Love this movie. Watch it many times.

This movie was one of the greatest musicals I've ever seen. I normally hate watching musicals but this one was really great with awesome music from the beatles

I'm not usually in to movies like this, but it is now one of the my favorite movies. Its a must see flim, very entertaining, funny, emotional, sad, everything a great movie needs. Plus if you like the Beatles you can sing along :)

My favorite movie ever. Bonus features have long length and great details. Includes extended versions of alot of the songs covered in the movie. All around great movie, with great premise, storyline, and acting.

This movie is one of the best that I have seen in a long time. Not only is the singing and music great, but the acting is top notch as well. I would recommend this movie to anyone who is a Beatles fan.

I thought this was a wonderful, exuberant movie with the best soundtrack! Even with other people singing the songs, it's wonderful. The story is great, and there are Beatles touches everywhere. If you're a Beatles fan or a movie fan, you should definitely see this. It's quite a show!

Despite the fact that I am not usually a fan of movie musicals, I enjoyed this one. It is full of good performances and solid (though far from perfect) covers of Beatles songs. This movie is certainly worth your time, and I find that every month or two it is worth my time again.

Plot and music go toghether perfectly! The acting is over the top, the effects are really great and the singing is perfect for what's happening around the carrecters.

This was probably the best movie I have ever seen. I typically don't like musicals, but this was just awesome. I would recommend this movie to anyone!

I loved Across the Universe. I have Across the Universe on DVD. In Across the Universe my favorites were Jude, Lucy, Max, Sadie, JoJo and Prudence

This is a great movie! If you like the Beatles then you have to see this. It's classic music with a new twist. Great filming and great acting!

This is a must see movie! The story has such a great bold meaning, the music fits so well and just makes you feel so happy.

I read a review that didn't give this movie enough praise.....moving and heartfilled....a true masterpeice in my eyes.
