I hate to sound like the bad guy, in comparison to the other reviews, but I found this movie rather disappointing! When this movie first came out I was really excited about it. Im a Beatles fan and Im also fond of musicals but for me the combination of the two just doesnt work for this one. Its seems as if this movie was made just to try to jump on the whole Beatles revivial band wagon. The begining isnt bad where you follow the courtship of "Jude" and "Lucy" but shortly after that it turns into a big mess. It seems as if they were trying to throw in as many beatles songs and refrences they can and it disconnects from the actual story. I realize youre supposed to go along on this journey with the music and the images but it just doesnt work for me. I must say that this movie has excellent cinematography and I still really love the beatles but unfortunately its just not enough to make this a good movie.

A very promising movie, poorly executed. In case you didn't notice, the studio kept pushing the release date of this movie back indefinitely. They were worried about it's performance. Justifiably so. "Across" never really gains its legs. Visually it is beautiful, and how could you argue with the Beatles catalogue? However, when all the sequences which are shot like a trippy music video are put together, they seem disjointed and forced. In the end, the movie has no soul, and does not work as a feature film.

Thiis is an okay movie. The music is pretty good but the story is weird.

Ok so if you are going to copy the Beatles you have BIG shoes to fill. Me bing a BIG Beatles fan have to sasy I heated this movie! I feel like all they did was take the Beatles song runin them in the singing and added a horrible movie in the backround. This movie had the potenchal to be a great movie but it FAILED miserably.

i purchased two copys of the blu ray edition of this movie to find out it doesn't work. i tried playing both in different players but failed to get it to play. the movie should be pulled off shelves everywhere. i have no beef with this movie...i love the movie!
