These work very well as I upgraded all of the CAT 5 cables in my house to CAT 6 for better internet & these were needed to install between the Gig Switch upstairs & the Android Superbox downstairs as I could not find a good route for the CAT 6 cables. These components made the connection transfer very easy

I bought these to help improve my Google WiFi mesh connection and to create a wired ethernet backhaul. I live in a 2 story home, ~2,000 sq feet and i have 4 Google WiFi (1st generation) pucks. The main puck/router is downstairs plugged into the modem. The other 3 adapters are upstairs. Before the Actiontec adapters, I was getting about ~60 mbps wifi, maybe 90 if I was close to the Google WiFi puck. I connected these 2 adapters to two Google WiFi pucks upstairs to created a wired ethernet backhaul and 1 Google WiFi is just plugged into the wall in one of my kid's bedroom. Now, I get 450-500 mbps WiFi! I pay for a 600 mbps internet through comcast/xfinity. This product works so well, that I even bought one more unit so that I could create an ethernet connection directly to my desktop (iMac). The iMac is near a coaxial cable that I connected this adapter to. I get about 500 mbps on the iMac, before I was having issues with the iMac getting fast WiFi speeds.

I have had the first gen of these and definitely, these provide more bandwidth. As a lot of houses migrate from no cable to streaming, the need for something other then wifi everywhere with mesh to ensure high bandwidth is necessary (in my mind) for streaming video. Since most houses around are not brand new with Cat6 cable (my preference) this is a good mid-step retrofit to get wired access to remote parts of a bigger house. It is not gigabit, but it is about what your "real" speeds on a cable modem would be. As more houses get smart devices that depend on Wifi, this removes some of the load on the wifi and ensures a better bandwidth. I also allows me to have some harddrives with media (music and video) on the network. They are not super cheap and can't use the full capacity of the wire, but they are good. NOTE, in general you CAN NOT use these with Dish and other satellite alternatives to cable (wrong end of the spectrum) and in my case I used it without cable channels, so less of a chance of interference.

This was a great way to provide a wired internet connection to my gaming system that is not located near an existing Ethernet connection. However this can allow converting a coax cable connection into a wired Ethernet connection.

Needed a solution to get wired speeds to my desktop without having the modem in the same room. I tried different options, but wasn't getting anything close to what I was paying for. I picked up the MoCA adapters and getting a good 95% of my wired speeds. Highly recommended!

Avid Tivo device owner for 17 years. Installation of a MoCA network with these devices has fantastically improved our Tivo experience (Tivo Roamio, plus two Tivo minis) -- major improvement in streaming speed and reliability (7 days in = perfection), perceptible improvement in HD quality. Easy to install and set up! Wish I had done this years ago. For many years relied on Netgear Powerline devices to feed internet signal to devices and for streaming. Worked satisfactorily most of the time, but occasionally laggy, glitchy, unplug/re-plug required, and restarting of devices necessary, and frequent restarting of Tivo Minis required. With the purchase of a new piece of exercise equipment, the Tivo Mini in our workout room stopped working anytime someone turned on the exercise bike (electrical interference and/or magnetic interference). The installation of MoCA passing the Tivo network/internet/streaming over Coax instead of power lines fixed everything. Great solution!

My problem: 1giga bit connection from provider but hardly getting 50 to 100mbits through wired computer connected to my home router. This device ensured that my router got upto 900m bits. Now average wired speed is about 500 m bits. Wifi is 250 mbits. It makes huge difference.

I was planning to have an electrician wire my house with ethernet. Then I came across these nifty adapters. They allowed me to use these to distribute internet over hard wired connection using my cable outlets. I salve a lot of money!!!

I needed WiFi in my garage but didn’t have a Cat5 wire there. I did have a coaxial cable already that I was using for my TV. With these adapters at each end of the coax I was able hard wire a router with Cat5 and now I have full speed in the garage. These things are a life saver.

Really great device and speed is fantastic. Didn't have ethernet to second floor but had plenty of Coax runs. Used this and it worked easily. Getting max download speeds with only slightly higher ping compared to ethernet. Really impressive.

I was able to connect a room with a 4K TV that was pretty far away from the wireless router in my place. It is now wired and the connection is excellent. This is a great product for those who prefer a wired connection over wireless in your home.

this works great with our comcast gateway. found out during the install that MoCA needed to be turned on inside our xfinity gateway. after that i discovered i only needed 1 MoCA addapter. works great and just as good as being wired directly to modem or router

A large house with high ceilings has left a lot to be desired when it comes to my network. The plentiful coax drops have allowed me to set up a superb network leveraging these Actiontex MoCA 2.0 adapters. Simple plug and play capability.

Having previously purchased 2 of these, didn't hesitate to buy two more when needed. Be sure to check the router for MoCA capability, and may need to alter settings in the router. Works great, dramatic increase in internet speed.

I upgraded from an older version when I upgraded my internet speed to 300 Mbps. My router is far away from my playstation pro so wasn't picking up the 5Ghz wifi. Plugged it into the Ethernet cable from this MOCA network and speeds are up to 250 Mbps. Job done.

Quick to setup and was able to use them to find the right wire in the basement by plugging it in in the room I wanted to add it and the testing each one in the basement to find the other end. Speeds are great. Better than I expected.

My home was built on a slab with no way to wire up a network. I used the existing coax in my home and this product worked perfectly. It worked with much faster speeds in my home than the fastest power line adapter I could by.

If you don't have cat5/6 cabling in your house buy have coax, this is a great way to get a super fast and stable hard-wired connection to parts of your house.
