Easy to set up, looked at the instructions briefly to begin with and installed just as noted. Slight delay in reception from the main transmitter to the remote but signal was strong. Put in a fifth wheel and receiver is behind a metal outside cover and appears to have no problems. Probably 30 feet between transmitter and receiver.

I purchased this product after reading reviews and deciding on another similar product that was rated slightly higher, but was not available in store. So, I settled for this one. Set up was easy and quick, and the transmitter does what it's supposed to (I'm using this from one side of a room to the other, with nothing in between the transmitter/receiver). Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because sometimes the transmitter cuts out, the screen goes black for 10 seconds, and then the transmitter re-connects itself. It doesn't do this all the time, so it's not a deal breaker. But it is annoying when it does it, cause then it does it repeatedly for a while. I checked for FW updates on the actiontec website but they don't have any new ones for it. Works though, and easy to set up.

I installed this in my garage about 50 ft. from the base unit. I get a clear HD image. There's a bit of a delay using the remote but you get used to it. I was pleasantly surprised. Installation was quick and easy. I tried a similar product once from Radio Shack and it was inop from the start. Worth the money because I dreaded stringing coax cable.

Direct line of site indoor and through sliding glass door to back deck. Works good. Slight delay if watching both TVs at same time. About once a week I may have to reboot because receiver is not getting signal. Takes about 1 minute.

Ok for watching video, but NOT for gaming

Despite being advertised on the product packaging that it could be used for gaming (Playstation 3 and XBox specifically mentioned, I believe; I tried a PS4), the lag time is far too great for this kit to be used for most games. I had them connected in the same room, clear line-of-sight, less than 10 feet apart. The video and audio came through very clearly, but there was a noticeable delay between pressing a button on the controller and seeing the effect on-screen (close to a full second on average; at times even longer!). I tried going into the unit's configuration menu, and ensuring that it was set to the Gaming profile (vs video), but it didn't make any significant difference; the lag was still just too high to be able to play with. I also tried reducing the output resolution of my PS4 to the lowest it would go, and even with a greatly reduced output picture quality, the lag was still extreme. Since my sole intended use for this kit was for gaming, I ended up returning it, and bought a product from another company, which has worked out much better for me. I was rather disappointed, as this is the 2nd generation model from ActionTec; I had the 1st generation kit (purchased second-hand, recently stopped working) and it had far less lag than this model. Very surprised that a newer product had worse results, but that was definitely my experience with it. Anyone who just wants to broadcast video and audio (i.e. from a cable box to a second TV) may be perfectly happy with this kit, as it was easy to set up, worked immediately, and the picture and audio quality were great. Gamers, look elsewhere, unless you're playing extremely slow, menu-driven games where you don't mind waiting a second or two for the effects of your button presses to show up on your screen ...

So far so good. Currently using in line of site 20-30 feet away. I also use it outside on deck with a patio door closed. Picture is great. Slight delay between main tv and receiver tv. If using in same room with another tv, ex: above a bar in basement, then turn off volume.

First time purchase of this type of product. It worked right out of the box, but then the DVR remote was a little finicky probably due to the transmitter not being placed in the perfect spot. The transmitter is used to allow you to use the DVR remote to control the DVR from the remote TV. A little tweaking and it worked. The transmitter is a device with a cord with an infrared reader that has to be placed directly in front of the DVR infrared source or it won’t work. It looks a little funny on the DVR unit but it’s in a media cabinet so not terrible for me. There’s one unit for the transmitting source (DVR) and one for the receiving source (remote tv). The quality of the picture is not as good as the source from the DVR but it works for what I need - news and sports.

There are probably cheaper ones for what i needed. I used this to bridge a 20ft space from one side of the living room cable outlet to my wall mounted TV. I didn't feel like running a cable across the room / install new outlet / run cable through walls. This device does way more than what i needed it to do, such as going through walls and transmitting the remote signal (tested it for fun and it works well). For the 20ft gap i used it for, this was perfect. No skips, lags, signal problems, or anything different compared to my hdmi cable. Perfect solution.

I bought this for my church. We needed to get the video feed from our sanctuary down a hall to the nursery so that volunteers watching the kids could see the sermon. Setup was easy. The video looks clear. The only thing that is a little troubling is that we have to unplug and plug back in the receiving unit every Sunday so that it will make the connection. Still WAY better than having to run a 50 foot cable through a few walls.

I was a little skeptical before I bought it. Ended up pleasantly surprised. I have a detached garage, Maybe 60+ feet away from the house. I wanted a tv out there to watch the ball games wile working on stuff. Set up was a breeze. plugged everything in and it basically connected itself. The picture is perfect. There is an ever so slight delay when changing channels or pulling up the channel guide, etc... but that's to be expected when sending those signals wirelessly at that distance. It's a tad bit pricey but worth it in the long run. I don't want to have to pay the cable company any more than I already do to rent another box forever!!

This product is great and it works as advertised but if you are using it in conjunction with external audio, you will suffer a little delay. This happens if your audio source is not been transmitted thru the wireless but the image is. I ended up returning it but later found that my Bose system has a audio delay feature to synch image and audio. If your audio has this fearure it will work beautifully

It does a good job of wireless access to an HD input source, cable, sat or whatever. 100 ft distance is a stretch but 50 or so is solid.

Now able to watch cable in my bedroom without the expense of an additional cable box and its monthly fee. Quality is excellent and set up is relatively easy. Only downside is expense ($169 on sale) so it will be well over a year before I start to see a return on my investment

My first concern was whether this product could actually send the TV and audio signal cleanly to another part of a large great room. Where the TV made the most sense to place it in the room, there is no wiring on that wall. We were considering hiring out to run everything needed to that wall, until I spotted this product. It was super easy to set up, and works perfectly. The signal is clean, and I can't tell that it's not hard wired. I periodically/rarely have to turn my TV off and then back on if I see any lag in video or audio, but that is a super quick and simple fix. Have used this for many months now, and zero problems.

I bought this to solve a problem of a television in a room that I didn’t want to run a cable to. It does work but it seems to have an issue when you turn on the television or the one that it’s attaches to I get a green screen. I turn off the television then back on it has picture. Other then that it delivery’s a great picture to both sets. The set up was plug and play with little work to get it to work.

This unit does get the job done, but every so often it seems to drop or lose the connection between transmitter and receiver for no apparent reason. The fix is to reboot both units (as others have mentioned, just rebooting one or the other simply does not work), and after a few minutes the units are up and running again. The other complaint is the IR transmission from the TV end is a bit slow compared to our box located upstairs but again not really a deal-breaker. We have Spectrum (formerly TWC) and use this Actiontec on our 2nd TV in our bedroom. It certainly saved me from figuring out how to run a cable line when we switched bedrooms; drilling through concrete block was not very appealing) and for the convenience it's easy for us to overlook its somewhat finicky operation. Your mileage may vary, but we've been using this unit for almost a year and its still going. Not a bad investment.

This was a wonderful purchase for football season. I wanted a tv outside to tailgate at home, and this was the solution. It works great, I have my outside tv about 40' from the cable box. It has sensors that let you control the source tv from the additional tv. This was a great purchase!

The picture is excellent, however it sometimes is difficult to get the signal to the receiver and may require a restart of one or both units. but once you get it, it stays and picture quality is HDMI at it's best. I can watch my movies in another room wirelessly. It works with anything that has an HDMI output.
