So the ram works great at the advertised speed. That is until you try to set the ram’s rgb. I used three different control software programs. Every time i directly addressed the memory’s rgb it caused a fault on the SMBus slowing and crashing the entire computer. I cant say about other manufacturers but it does not work as advertised on the MSI Z690 motherboards. Do not Buy if you plan to have anything other than rainbow lights. That is all you get if you don’t want your system to crash.

Sorry to hear that you are having issues controlling the RGB lighting. Please update the Bios on you motherboard, as that should fix the issue. For additional support, please send us an email at [email protected].

I bought this memory to pair up with a 2 of the same make and size but also the same speed. I've also read that they wouldn't work because of how finicky Z690 boards are. I couldn't get it to work on a ASUS - ROG STRIX Z690-E GAMING WIFI with an updated bios even though it said in the description better memory compatibility under a XMP II profile. I had to manually clock it to 6000 mhz. It's been working great for the last couple days and 64 gb of memory. I was really wanting more system memory for photoshop and Divinci Resolve.

Very fast RAM. Purchased during a reasonable sale as well, otherwise it was a touch expensive. Utilized 4 sticks, it has made all the difference. Works well with the Ryzen 7 7700x

Amazing memory that’s never failed me. XMP works well and I’ve never seen huge voltage spikes or random data loss.

First, I really like the design. The RGB looks great and ties the body together very nicely. Installed in Asus Z690-e gaming MB with I9-12900K & Corsair H150i cooler. Tried both XMP Profiles and neither are stable. Both crash during gaming. Also, the cpu temps are 90 degrees C plus. The CPU is completely stock, never OCed, the temps on the ram are under 50 degrees C. I changed XMP profile 1 from 6000mhz to 5800mhz and the system now is stable. Interestingly, the temps on the cpu dropped 10 degrees C? However, this is not the solution I am interested in long term. And good luck finding a phone number to call Adata and find a solution with a tech. Have a few more days to return. Most likely will be doing so. Also, the RGB is controlled ONLY by MB. Is not recognized in Corsair Ique. For the high cost, the advertised speed should work without issues and the RGB should sync with main stream rgb control software.

Hello Airdog,
Thank you for your feed back. We want to ensure you are happy with your purchase. Most motherboards are still catching up with DDR5 technology and their respective manufacturers have still yet to establish reliable Bios updates. As far as RGB controllers, we recommend the motherboard RGB software for ease of use. We, however, cannot enlist a competitor's RGB software due to restrictions in their proprietary software. Hopefully in the future we can best assist you. Thank you.
Sincerely,
The ADATA/XPG Team

Bought these and tried to use EXPO profile. There were none in bios. After going back and forth with the company for 3 days and reinstalling windows and losing everything i finally returned them and got gskill ones and they work great.

Hi,
Please make sure that you have a compatible motherboard and that you are are currently up to date on the newest BIOS settings. Most major motherboard brands have released new BIOS updates so please refer to your motherboard manufacturer for additional details. For your reference AMD EXPO profile values shall be automatically detected and provided for you through BIOS just like the XMP profile values. If XMP works, you have not enabled the EXPO profile. Please contact your motherboard manufacturer for further assistance. Similarly, if you have any issues with your ADATA products in the future, please feel free to reach out to us so we can best assist you. Thank you.
Sincerely,
The ADATA/XPG Team
