I guess I can say I lucked out because I have read other people getting the newer, slower version, even on the 2tb drive. I would like to recommend this product because the current versions I have are amazing and work well for the price, but adata basically lowered the performance of this drive by 30% possibly to save cost and didn't even bother to announce this revision. I would say save your chances on buying another ssd because there are probably not to many 2tb drives left with the older controller.

Using adata's site to download acronis to clone your old drive is a breeze. Finally managed to ditch the cables of my sata ssd and run this instead. All in all speed difference on boot isn't noticeable but having one less cable to route and manage is always a plus. Got this drive at $200 and considering I spent that on a 500GB sata ssd for my last build this seems like a steal!

I needed to upgrade my laptop hard drive from 1 to 2 terabyte. The Geek Squad found my laptop had 2 hard drive ports and added the new one in the empty one. It was good i did not have ro reinstall software but it rook a long time to move files because Onedrive was slow.

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I installed two of these one 1TB and this 2TB. the 1TB is my OS drive and boot up times are crazy fast now. the 2Tb drive is my game drive and startup and game play is much faster. cut scene's load much fast. overall these drives are much faster then regular hard drives.
