The whole process of simply getting a center channel speaker wire run and getting my Xfinity remote programmed properly was a major production for Best Buy/Geek Squad! I won’t use Geek Squad or ever set foot in a Best Buy store again….Period! If I can’t get it from someone else….. I’ll do without rather than use Best Buy.

I've been a loyal customer for over 20 years but my patience is wearing thin. Ordered a new TV and had it installed. Asked the Tech to install two ceiling speakers I bought in store at Best Buy. He said he could not on that date but would contact me to install them within a week and also bring a Sonos Amp and Subwoofer he suggested I buy. I agreed. He never called and just blew me off. I tried calling the Store, the 800 Number, Chat online and no amount of effort could resolve the problem so I went in person and talked to the Geek Squad Manager. He was helpful. I bough the items in person and paid for the wire installation for the Speakers and the new gear. He could only schedule a date out one month but said the Tech would squeeze me in before hand. Not only did he not squeeze me in, he blew off the Oct 28th date with no communication. I received a call from HQ to reschedule and my new date is 11/17. Almost two months from date of purchase. I have low hopes they actually keep the date. It's a shame too because I would like to buy more from Best Buy right now but I have second thoughts. Also, I even agreed to sign up for the one year VIP Service contract.

After a month and more than 3 cancelled appointments from them they show up with 2 very OB guys and say they can’t do it because it to hot in my attic and they don’t fit well.

I went to a Best Buy store and talked with a Geek Squad member and explained exactly what I wanted to have done. Which was to run a cat 6 cable from the router, through a wall, across the attic and into a bedroom. He called someone to set up the appointment for that. I received a call a few days before the appointment saying that they didn’t do that

Geek Squad in my opinion, knows more about things that are digital technology than audio. They k are quick to pass the buck off in say it's someone else's fault for selling you thousands of dollars worth of audio equipment. When you call to complain about the merchandise you purchased stating you're going to bring it back, they tell you, we'll just give you store credit instead of trying to make the situation whole and you happy as a customer.

Geek Squad Installation of Speakers/Volume Control

Geek Squad installed 6 ceiling speakers. One is very loud when the volume dial is in the first position. Needs adjusting. The speakers on the rear patio are intermittent and need to be fixed. I have sent two emails and made a phone call to voice mail asking for help. It's been almost a week and no response!

Nice folks that showed up to do the work. Unfortunately my internet went down immediately following their departure. Was then left without interest for 5 days (I work from home) and when we called geek squad to request a follow up visit to fix whatever went wrong, we were told that it would be another week or two before they could come back out. Customer service rep didn’t seem to care. Pretty disappointed. Won’t ever use again

Absolute disaster. For second year in a row I was sold product and installation only for installation to be denied. Your installers look for any reason not to install. Why do sales people sell product and packages that installers wont install? Why do installers look for any possible reason not to install? For second straight year all product will need to be returned. Sales person will not answer my calls or call me back. This has been a nightmare. Forced to purchase these products and services elsewhere.

One and then another member came out to do this wire run. Unfortunately running the wires from the attic to the cabinet seemed to be much harder than earlier in the summer when you did wiring in the same location. At this time

I am left with the OTA antenna in the attic, the wire sitting next to it with no connector on it and being told by the member that it will be two weeks before they can come out to do this 5 minute job. I have no OTA channels and am beside myself that you would leave me hanging with the job almost done. I'll be 70 next year. Do you want me to crawl around in the attic to finish your job? Let me know.

Adrian came by today with another colleague. They couldn’t help me all the way because the electrician has to come back to fix something before they could solve the problem. However Adrian is really unprofessional, unfriendly telling me that I’m lying if I was his manager I would have fired him straight away. The other colleague was super friendly and we never had a person from geek squad being unfriendly till we met Adrian I’m sorry I’ve spend so much money and this is what you get. Adrian is giving geek squad a bad name and that is not fair!!!
