Adidas brand ear buds here we go. Packaging was simple and easy enough to get into. Buds came charged with about 80% charge. Pairing is simple but I did need to look up how to do it with the manual. You get a couple different ear tip sizes. They didn't feel super snug to me but secure enough I could move with them in. They charge with an included usb c cable. Sound is crisp clear with default settings. You can get some additional setup options with the app on your favorite platform. Usual EQ options, adjust what the buttons do..nothing ground breaking here the usual if this isn't your first pair of wireless earbuds. I was mildly disappointed with the mic for using them as a voice chat option. My voice sounds low and unclear. I understand these are not marketed for voice chat as they are workout/active on the go earbuds which is what they do well. I'm able to move around/exercise with them without issue and they do their job well enough. The ANC on them is okish once again nothing mind blowing. For the price they are a decent low to middle end option. Battery is solid with the case and earbuds charging you can easily go over 24 hrs without having to plug in again. Overall solid product if you need something to listen to music on decently and keep moving, avoid if you want something to do a lot of talking on and voice chat.

    Earbuds with a little ANC

I decided to try these earbuds specifically because of the active noise cancelling (ANC) feature. While the noise cancelling isn't as good as another, more expensive, brand that I've tried, it seems good enough. Even at the maximum setting it doesn't cancel as much noise as the other, but it definitely knocks the volume of the noise down enough that it's no longer a nuisance. For my use, this is just fine. I was impressed with the sound quality. Some audiophiles may complain about the bass not punching enough or some other frequencies not quite perfect, but for a tiny battery-powered device that fits in your ear I think it's pretty amazing. I've been very happy with both the sound quality and the microphone(s) for call quality. People say I sound just fine on a call using the earbuds. The battery life may not be quite as long as some other earbuds, but the 4+ hours is more than enough for my use. I've listened to some 2 hour podcasts and by that time my ears were ready for a rest anyway. I've used them during full remote work days of calls and video meetings and they've worked perfectly. For this, I typically use one earbud at a time and keep the other in the charging case. Not only does that keep them charged, but it gives each of my ears a rest, too. I've had other bluetooth earbuds that have dropped out or had trouble connecting when I swap them out like that, but these have worked flawlessly so far. One slight nuisance I've had with them is the touch controls. They're so small that if I try to adjust them to seal better or make them more comfortable, I almost always hit the control. I've accidentally muted calls (and unmuted meetings), hung up calls, and jumped forward or back in podcasts. Now, I try to only grab them by the "sticks" to avoid that problem and it's definitely better. And speaking of the touch controls, they do seem to have different functions depending on the app you're using (on Android, at least). In a webex call, a single tap switched the audio from bluetooth back to the phone. I also couldn't long press to switch ANC modes. But in other apps it works normally to tap and play/pause, and long press to switch ANC modes. In summary, I like these earbuds and they're now my #1 pair. The case is solid and compact enough that I just throw it in my pocket so I have them with me all the time. The sound quality is great, the ANC is fine, battery life is good, and they've always connected flawlessly.

    OK ear buds

These ear buds make me come away meh. The sound is good. The comfort is ok. They look good. The Sound: It is really odd but turning ANC off they sound much better. The ANC really does not cancel much if any background noise. I tried the other ear cups and the defaults fit the best but none of them changed the noise cancelling. There is a Awareness setting also that doesn't seem to do much but add static to what you are listening to. I could hear the same background noise I did with ANC on or nothing on. The overall sound quality, when ANC is off, is pretty decent. These are not going to dethrone the big names in the game, but they sound good. Not great. The App: The app lets you change some settings on the ear buds. The equalizer is pretty straight forward with a bunch of predetermined settings that can be edited. You can quick change between the ANC, Aware and off (more on this later).Changing custom actions are limited at best. The rest of the drilled down settings are minimal as in turn on or off an option. In the settings you can update the firmware from there. I was hoping my issues would be because of a pending firmware update. The Comfort: They are not uncomfortable. But you know they are in your ears. They don't fall out easily and don't require a bunch of adjustments, but they never feel like they are in right. The Controls: Touch controls are terrible at best. It may be me, but I touch and nothing happens. I long touch, nothing happens. I take them out of my ear, and it registers a touch action. One ear piece will register a touch, the other registers nothing. Next time I attempt, neither work or they swap sides of which recognize a touch. Other Issues: More than once I have had one ear piece working, the other has no sound. Put them in the case and reconnect over Bluetooth, the opposite side now has no sound. Try again and they both work but no touch controls at all. I was thinking some of my issues may be my phone, so I connected to my tablet. Same issues. Connected to another phone from another maker, same issues. When they work, they sound OK. Granted, the one bud working has been off and on, but has happened often enough to mention. The touch controls are another subject. Why am I rating a 3 star? One I am feeling generous, but they do sound OK. The issues I am having all should be fixed with a firmware update, I HOPE! Since most of the issues seem to be firmware related I hesitate to give a 1 star. To me I give 1 star to the unredeemable. I save those for the truly useless merchandise. 2 stars are for bad with no redeeming qualities to build off of. The 3 star is where I put something that can get better IF the firmware gets updated. Or is just a average product. I think at a peak these could be a 4 star product: good, not great.

The Android Top-tier Equivalent to IOS Ear Buds

I recently bought some of Apple's current top-tier pro ear buds because the sale price was really good at Best Buy. As a new iPhone user, I wanted to see what the complimenting earbuds offered. I was very pleased with the results and wondered if there was an Android equivalent. I happy to report that there is. The Adidas ZNE buds are really amazing. Sweat proof and workout friendly. The noise cancellation was almost able to cut out my lawn mowers engine noise while I mowed something that no other buds could do. The automatic noise cancellation can be fine-tuned in the app. The physical touch controls are very intuitive and the app feels well polished. The customization experience is the best I've seen on ear buds. You can adjust ambient noise levels, touch control sensitivity, as well as a very nice equalizer. The build quality seems very good. The plastic case is textured to look like a sort-of hard alien skin. It's very nice and I suspect hides scratches exceptionally well. USB C charging of course and the battery barely budged after 4 hours of continuous use at good volume. They are rated at 20 hours (approx. 4 hours stand alone and 15 with the case) In real world use I could see them coming very close to that. My one complaint is that the app is absolutely required to pair the headphones and the installation is a little wonky. In contrast my newly-acquired buds from Cupertino paired instantly and perfectly to the phone. The app is something that can be worked out over time and I'm sure it will be. Probably the best part is that these earbuds are not OS biased like some buds are. They work the same and offer the same features regardless of your phone's OS. In some ways that makes them better that the ubiquitous snow white buds in everyone's ears. To my knowledge, Adidas is not manufacturing these earbuds and is farming the manufacturing out to Zound, the parent company of Marshall. I have had great experience with Marshall products and I suspect this buds will last a very long time.

Comfy earbuds with ANC missing a real EQ.

I really dig the looks and feel of these earbuds. They feel rugged and don't have a slick appleish feel to them, more of a textured feel. The case also shares that texture along with the adidas logo which you can press to see how much battery remains. The claim on battery life for these seems about right from what I experienced around 4.5 hours while using ANC and 6 hours without ANC. The fit passed the "sweaty lawn mowing test" that I like to give them. Neither one of them fell out of my ear or even felt like they would while using them on a 90 degree day push mowing the lawn. Sound quality is good, not great. It feels like deep bass notes are missing from these that you get from other mid-tier earbuds. The ANC seems to work well, not as good as say Sony or other brands but definitely noticeably less noise. Same with the awareness function. The EQ is strange. There are several presets that show up on the screen what looks like an EQ, however you cannot edit or change these settings. This seems like a pretty basic feature that could be unlocked but isn't. Maybe another update will unlock that feature. I definitely consider that a con. Other features include wireless charging IPX5 rating for decent water resistance and the case has an IPX4 rating. You can edit the long press function to change to several different actions like spotify, noise control, voice assistant or the adidas app if you use that. All in all if you can get these on sale I don't see an issue with them. I think that the lack of a real EQ and decent not great sound quality might make some leery of these and make them spend a bit more for a higher quality product.

Very high end ear buds. No warranty registration required! Upfront everything works well! Product works as advertised out of the box. Tested BT 5.2 dual channel. Range is 37 feet with lots of walls. Line of site is yet to be tested. Sound quality in all modes was excellent. Specifications are listed at the end and the instructions below are very important to the correct operation of these ear buds. First thing is to select the correct rubber ear canal inserts. I had to go large! Also, you will accidentally turn off features when changing the inserts. Long presses will turn certain features off and on. If the bass is weak you need to do some long presses. Product was tested with two BT 5.2 systems. Distance fade out on individual channels shows dual channels are working. iPhone testing with Face-time was perfect.
