Great for working out

I got these headphones so I could work out at night without disturbing my family. They are great for my bike rides and I even occasionally use them at work since they also function as a headset.
Pros
- Good volume
- Splash/sweat resistant
- Nice look. Both the headphones and case have a nice texture. I have a lot of Adidas gear and I like the black with the white logo.
- Lite weight
- Don't trap sweat against your ear.
- Great battery life. Headphones have plenty of juice for my workout and the case has a battery that recharges them. I only normally have to charge the case once a week.
- You can charge the case with a wireless charger.
- Indicator light on the case gives the case battery level and shows pairing status.
Things to Consider
- I like the fit for riding a bike or lifting, but they are not secure enough in my ear that I would go jogging in them.
- Sound quality is decent. There is plenty of volume and have good clarity, but there is a noticeable lack of bass and highs occasionally come off as tinny above mid-volume.
- No major sound quality issues on either end when used as a headset, but they don’t seem to have any background noise suppression.
- They have touch controls, but I have had mixed results in using them. Pause, play, and answer work fine since they require only one tap. Previous track, next track, and hang up all require multiple taps and are hard to get right (I end up pausing/playing when I meant to skip to the next track). They also don’t offer a volume control option and there is no app to allow you to change the configuration (like other headphones I have used).
- The included quick start guide doesn’t have enough detail. The web manual is way better and only a page or two longer. The full manual should be included from the start and I recommend downloading it. For example, I was having some trouble with Bluetooth pairing and didn’t realize you can do a full reset by holding down the pairing button for 10 seconds (versus 3 seconds for normal pairing).
- The included USB-C charging cord is only a couple inches long and there is no USB charger. This is not a big deal since USB-C is pretty standard and the case also support wireless charging, but it is worth noting.

Adidas Should Do Better

Now, as for what you're getting in this package (This has to be the cheapest packing job I have ever seen in a pair of bluetooth, let alone, a pair of name branded bluetooth. Packing paper? I mean, really? C’mon ADIDAS. You’ve got to do better.) is really straight forward, as these are the more affordable versions of the 2 types. All it comes with are the bluetooth, the wirelessly chargeable charging case & a charging cable so small that it doesn't have the right to be in the box. Oh! And a couple guilds and warranty pamphlets.
Outside of the wireless charging ability, these are some of the most basic bluetooth earphones I’ve tried in a while. It really pains me to say that Adidas would put their name on something so basic and overpriced. There are a pair of ANC that will run you almost double the cost of these, but the truth is, they just may be worth it if you simply must have Adidas in your ear canals. So, wireless charging is what makes them special, to a degree.
Again, If you’ve got a Franklin in your pocket and must have these, just know that they are just earbuds. You’ve got your basic touch controls as in, 1 tap to answer/hang up calls or play/pause and 2 taps FF then 3 taps RWD. They fit in the ear like any old airpods would. Because there are no extra tips for better fit. The silicon sleeve over the buds adds comfort and contributes to the sweat and splash resistance. They are comfortable and light, but with that being said, you may find yourself losing these really quickly on a jog or any intense workout if you don’t have the perfect ear lobes to hold these in place. I do like the case. It is small and holds 4 more 5 hour charges and with the quick charge feature, you can get up to an hour of playtime out of a 15 minute charge.
As much as anyone, I like a good branding product and these are functional. The sound is decent and the call quality is, for the most part, good. The charging case is easy to pack, but also easy to lose. The cable shouldn’t even exist, if that’s all they're going to offer. There’s no active noise cancellation and there’s an app to tweak your sound preferences, but it only works for the more expensive ANC version.
The bottom line is you should spend your money on better earphones. I feel like Adidas doesn’t want you to buy these. This is just the bad option to push you toward the ANC version. Kinda like what video game consoles are doing with fully digital systems. Sure it’s cheaper, but at what cost in the long run? So I'm going to give these a pass.

Good Sound, Hard to Fit

The adidas - Z.N.E. 01 TW - Night Grey are the floor level entry into the Adidas sport headphone array of options. The headphone box contains the adidas Z.N.E. 01 right and left earphones with silicone ear sleeves, a charging case, a very short USB-C charging cable, quick start guide, and a few other meaningless paper declarations.
So there is a button on the bottom of the charging case that has a button on the bottom that you depress for a few seconds and that then brings up a screen on my android smartphone that has a button that says "Connect". Bluetooth connection is easily done and connection is well made and maintained over your listening pleasure. My biggest problem with these ear phones is that I am having a lot of trouble with them staying in my ears. Essentially, there is only 1 way to insert them and I am having difficulties with them staying in my ears. There is no way to adjust these silicon sleeves or the shape or size of the ear inserts.
The ear phones have what I would call metal magnets that connect to the case for charging. It is also easy to figure out which ear phone goes in what part of the charging case compartment. I did go onto the adidasheadphones.com website to gleam more information about this item, particularly the user manual that I could not easily find. I found out that there is are 2 microphones, 1 in each ear, touch functions to control music and receive and end calls. although you are tapping the hard plastic, no push button. To my delight, it is a big pro that there is quick charging that they say 15 minutes = 1 hour and that a full charge =1.5 hours. Another pro is that charging can be done in the case so you are mobile and travel ready for up to 5 hours of play time at whatever it is you want to do-not the longest on a single charge, but not the shortest by any means either.
In the end, there is dynamic sound, but like I said previously, I do not know how securely these will fit in your ears. I would recommend that if you are interested in these, that you try them on and wear them for long periods of time to make sure that whatever you want to do with them in, that they can firmly stay in your ears.

Great wireless earbuds with some compromises

The adidas Z.N.E. 01 have lived in my ears since I received them a few days ago. These are the first true wireless earbuds that are comfortable enough for me to wear for an entire day. The design is 'just right' for my ears - just large enough to fill the space without feeling like it's wedged into my ear. The ZNE 01 earbuds are shaped much like the traditional designs from several other brands, but the soft silicone material of the part that goes into your ear gives them a lot of grip inside your ear. They manage this without sealing into your ear canal itself like a true IEM would - for better or for worse, the ZNE 01s do not seal outside noise. For me, that makes these the perfect product to use all day for listening to audiobooks or podcasts without totally isolating one or both ears from the outside world. When I want to do that, I can switch to several other options to get noise isolation.
Sound quality is very good - neither over- nor underwhelming. Bass is what I would expect from an earbud like this (where the ear canal is not sealed completely) - less than others on the market but not totally absent either. Midrange and high end is very open as you'd expect, and in general I found the sound to be really well balanced across a variety of music. For audiobooks and podcasts, I think they have the perfect tone and lack any weird resonance.
There are two factors that detract from these earbuds being a perfect product:
1) they won't fit everyone's ears. If your ears are too small or too large for them, they aren't going to stay put. They fit me perfectly, but I let my wife try them and they don't stay in for her. They do not come loose for me even with a pretty significant amount of head movement. I even got under some desks routing some cables and they didn't come out. Just something to keep in mind when buying these.
2) Battery life is advertised at 4.5-5 hours per charge. I only have been getting about 3.5-4 hours per charge when listening to music or audiobooks at moderate volume. Feels like a step back from other brands I have used and reviewed. For my typical use case this week, they've been fine - I use one side till it dies, then swap to the other side and charge up the first one. I can make it an entire workday like this, so it doesn't bother me so much.
So far, these are the most unique earbuds I've used despite the initial appearance seeming to be following a well known formula. These will definitely be my go-to from now on for public space listening.

I have many Bluetooth earbuds and enjoy testing the latest versions, even the ones without active noise cancelling (ANC).
First impressions
I liked how Adidas used packaging that is easily recyclable, since I do my best to protect our environment. I also liked how these earbuds fit in most ears without the need for silicone ear gels. The look of the case and earbuds are a nice touch and are lightweight, but they unfortunately felt like lower grade plastic compared to competitors.
Use
I was able to quickly pair these earbuds with my phone, but was surprised to find there was no app to download that allowed customization of the sound quality or perform a firmware update. At first, I liked the silicon sleeve over the earbuds since it helped them feel more secure in my ear, but noticed they became a little uncomfortable after long term use due the slightly larger size. Another unfortunate experience I had with these earbuds was that they were easily dislodged from my ear and fell on the floor. These earbuds were able to get about 5 hours of use on a single charge; however, I did not try out the extra 20 hours with the case yet.
Sound
Even though I found the earbuds had a decent volume and I could hear well during a phone call, I was not impressed with the sound quality while listening to music. I felt like there was no defined highs or lows, and music sounded more mashed together than crisp and clean. Since these do not have ANC, I was not surprised that I was not able to have a phone call with all my windows down driving my car about 45 MPH.
Pros
Lightweight
Decent volume for style of earbuds
Easy pairing
Decent battery life
Cons
No personalized settings
Sound not as clear as competitors’
Easy to knock out of ears
Plastic feel
Even though these may be a great fit for some people because of the features, low price, and ease of use, I would not recommend them. The main reason for this is that I have used a couple other earbuds within the same price range, and the sound was a lot better and included an app for personalization, which these do not.

To be honest, these adidas Z.N.E 01’s are just “meh”. They look like the Apple AirPods Gen 1, and I was excited to get a pair for exercising. I was excited when I received these and immediately connected them to my phone. And that’s where it all went downhill.
Firstly, they are on the larger size and they keep falling out of my ear. I wanted to put some sort of silicon wingtips I have for my AirPods but they won’t fit because of the different speaker arrangements.
So, when they are not falling out of my ear, I have my second and more problematic issue: they are not loud. I can barely hear them, and if they are meant for use when being active, my walking or even the environment around me prevent me from having a good listening experience. There are no sound adjustments, no noise cancellation, nothing. On the receiving side, the mic pickup is not that great and my colleagues on zoom said my voice was not loud enough.
Are there any positives? Yes. I found the tapping on the right (change track forward) and left (change track backward) to be responsive. Also, I enjoy the rugged feeling both the ear pieces and the case feel. And that it charges via usb-c cable. Other than that, these are really disappointing.

I received the Adidas Z.N.E. 01 about a week ago. The in-ear earbuds came with a charging cradle and USB-C to USB charging cable. The charging cradle also charges the earbuds, when not plugged to the cable. The earbuds were not fully charged when I received them, only about halfway. After about 20 minutes they were ready to pair with my phone. The pairing took several tries as my phone were not recognizing the earbuds. When fully connected, I opened my music app. When playing music they are not the best that I have had, but also not the worst. The sound is ok, but there is no way to adjust the bass, treble, etc. The Adidas ZNE 01 have the sleek look of the popular earbuds. They fit in my ears nicely with a little adjustment, but over time they fall out of my ears. I find this very annoying. Luckily, I am not a runner, so I don't have to worry about losing one of them. The earbuds will play for close to 5 hours. These are great earbuds for the price. I would recommend to a friend.

I run marathons and I am picky about the headphones I wear for my training runs. I was eager to give these a try. Unboxing I noticed they were wrapped in paper with the Adidas logo. I thought this was a nice touch, better than all the plastic found in most products these days. The case itself felt good, not slippery. Which is nice as I don;t feel like it wills lip out of my hand when putting the earbuds in and out of the case.
I liked how the earbuds fit in my ears. They fit nice and snug. One issue some may find is this is a one size fits all approach. You do not get different tips for different size ears. For instance my oldest daughter was not able to wear them (teenager) as her ears were smaller. Just something to consider when purchasing.
Set up was easy peasy. They connected right away to my phone and I was ready for my first workout. Sound is pretty much what I have to expect from these style of earbuds. But most important to me is do they stay in place when working out. For me, yes they fit just fine during my jogging runs. I did not have any issues.
In the box you also get a small USB-C charging cable. On the one hand I appreciate a compact cord. But if you look at the picture I provided, you will see that it is too short. It leaves the case dangling off the table or counter while charging. This is using a plug in the kitchen counter. If you use a more traditional wall plug, not sure how safe that would be. Also you do need to provide your own adapter to the plug, which is pretty standard these days for most electronics.
Overall I am really happy and have bene enjoying using these on my training runs.

Simple environmentally friendly design. It pumps out pretty decent sound.
Setup was a snap for me. I have Pixel 6 Pro and it synced right away. Phone showed status of each ear bud and case with amount of charge left.
Tap functions are easy to use and work nicely. 1, 2 , 3 tap options.
Phone calls are clear and easy to pickup.
Battery life is good. I am on day 1 and a full day of on off use and it survived about 8 hours.
The case holds a charge nicely.
Fit was good, it sealed ambient noise out. Worked out in them and they did not fall out. Silicone protectors felt nice.
Uses USB C to charge. Thank you...
First time to use Adidas headphones and first impressions are nice.
1 small critique. The case can't really stand up if you want to open them and take them out. You have to lay it on its back and if you have the top open when you do this the case will shut on you. Anyway... It's a picky issue but I got over it.
Good job Adidas. Simple and easy to use ear buds. Environmentally friendly sourced materials and packing.

They Do Not Surpass Other Earbuds in the Market

Adidas is a heritage brand that masters clothes. Unfortunately, these earbuds are not a good segue for them into the electronics realm. I’ve had them for a week and my honest opinion is there are other brands who have e earbuds that are not going to put such a dent in your budget.
The design is pretty cool! Especially the wet looking print on the earbud case. It’s all black and looks like water was splashed on the case. The charging was fast and easy, so was the setup.
As far as sound is concerned the earbuds fail to drown out most of external noise even at full volume. These earbuds were meant for the gym and I can literally hear the conversations next to me and the weights banging on the floor or when they are returned to their wrack. The ear buds have this silicone sleeve on each of the which are first glance gave me the impression that it would help them stay in my ears. It’s the opposite though. The sleeve on the earbuds actually feels like it is making the buds slip out. Lastly, the controls on the earbuds are way too sensitive. Once you place them in your ear try not to touch them or you’ll end up pausing, skipping, or restarting a song.
I wanted these to be stellar but for me they miss the mark. Do your research and if you’re an Adidas fan then for sure get them. I know I would, but if you can get another better sounding pair I would. I hope this is helpful to you on your search for earbuds.

Brand response from Adidas Headphones Team

Hello, thank you for your feedback. The ZNE 01 earbuds aren't noise cancelling earbuds and are an open-fit earbud that will let in more noise in comparison to earbuds with silicone sleeves that fit in your ear. We are sorry that these earbuds weren't the perfect fit for your ears, however, we are thankful that you tried them and for your feedback. Take care.

## Design
It seems like everywhere you look, everyone is wearing some type of earbuds. It seems only natural that we would get branded earbuds much like we see branded shirts and pants. With these adidas earbuds, the branding is not overly done: there is a subtle white adidas logo on the left earbud only, while the right earbud has no logo at all.
The earbuds are plastic with a silicone sleeve near the top of the earbud to help keep the earbud in place. This is a good idea as one of the most common complaints with truly wireless earbuds is that they become “slippery when wet.” So once you’ve worked up a sweat, your earbuds can be more likely to slide out of your ear, but the silicone pads on the adidas Z.N.E. 01 earbuds help reduce that issue.
## Performance
Music sounds very good on these earbuds, but the bass is not quite as strong as you would find on the Apple AirPods. However, the music quality is still very good and the earbuds are enjoyable while I’m working, working out, or just going for a walk.
The open design (similar to the original AirPods) allows you to hear what’s going on around you, making them ideal for outdoor workouts. However, this particular model does not feature Active Noise Cancellation, so they’re less ideal for traveling by plane or mowing the yard.
## Features
- Auto-pause: Like the Apple AirPods, these adidas earbuds will automatically pause your music when you remove one earbud.
- One earbud use: You can use one earbud at a time by returning the unused earbud to the charging case.
- IPX4 splash- and sweat-resistance: While the AirPods (gen 1 and 2) didn’t have an official rating for water resistance, these adidas earbuds have an IPX4 rating meaning they should stand up against sweat and splashes, but they are not made for submerging in liquids. If your earbuds do get sweaty, I would make sure to wipe down the metal contacts with a clean, damp cloth and thoroughly let them dry before returning them to the charging case.
- Touch controls: Some may prefer a physical button, but the touch controls seem to work fairly well on these earbuds. A single tap will play and pause your music. Two taps will skip forward. Three taps will rewind. The controls are the same on both earbuds, so it doesn’t matter which one you tap. Unfortunately, there doesn’t appear to be a way to adjust the volume with the touch controls, so you’ll need to use the volume control on your phone.
- Phone calls: Call quality is decent on these earbuds and they do a good job of picking up my voice while minimizing background noise.
## Battery Life
The earbuds can get up to 5 hours of playback on a single charge, with the charging case providing 3 additional charges for up to 20 hours total before the case needs to be recharged. The battery level does display in iOS, however it only shows one battery level that presumably represents both earbuds combined. The charge level of the case does not show on iOS.
The case can be charged with a standard USB-C cable or wireless Qi charging. The charging case uses a single LED to indicate the charge level (red, yellow, then green) to indicate from 0-100%.
## Summary
Overall, the adidas Z.N.E. 01 earbuds are a good alternative to the Apple AirPods at a slightly lower cost. While these earbuds do miss some of the tight iOS integration features of the Apple AirPods (such as Find My location features), they still offer very good sound quality and decent battery life, along with IPX4 splash resistance.

Solid Audio, Lackluster Comfort

I needed a new set of budget wireless earbuds and was happy to give these a try. The case size and design are great. Very similar to early generation AirPods with a textured case and Adidas logo. The buds have a very thin silicone sleave and seem to situate well in the ear. They’re incredible light and didn’t drop out of place with general use and movement. The biggest issue I had with the fit was that I found them generally uncomfortable for anything more than 30 minutes.
When testing on a video call only a single headphone seemed to work. The microphone was adequate, but I thought it was really odd that only a single ear received audio. As soon as I hung up the call, both ears kicked back in for the music. I don’t know if this is normal, but it was my experience.
Overall, the audio is adequate, the style is decent enough, but the lack of comfort is a deal breaker. It’s possible your ears have a different experience. However, for the price you may want to look elsewhere unless you're a huge Adidas fan.

Let me start with the most important thing - if they fit your ear they will be great for most applications however if they don’t you’ll probably pitch them in the corner pretty quick. The ear buds are one size fits all and fortunately they fit me. They silicone sleeve that is over the tip (only one included) fit my ear very well and stay secure up to the most rugged activity. I could run and workout but not high contact activities - they feel out while playing basketball. All that said I let my son try them and they did not fit - he had problem with simple things like a brisk walk.
So now about the earbud themself - pros 1. The sound quality is actually pit good. The bass is substantial but not over powering and the mid and high are crisp I did notice that placement in you ear was key to this 2. Decent battery life, not the best I have experienced but still very good I was able to about 5 hrs of just music play. The esthetic of the package and ear buns them self - might just be me but I really like the wat these look.
The Ok - 1. I had no issues get these to connect and/or reconnect to anything. The connect is sitar forward with the use of a pairing bottom on the case. 2 the charge time they seem to take a bit longer to charge than I’ve experienced with others
No the cons - outside of basically everything if they don’t fit the only real con for me is a problem I have with all sports ear buds and that is touch controls. Since these are on in your ear by friction ever time you touch them you take the chance of them falling out. This actually happened a couple of times
Overall again if they fit - buy them you won’t be disappointed and if they don’t fit they’ll be basically worthless

The adidas Z.N.E. 01 Truly wireless bluetooth headphones have been a nice pair to use. I particularly have used them around the house, and at the gym.
First off, charging is great. The case has wireless charging built in, and the buds each have 5 hours of playtime. The sound is decent, but not the best. They do get loud, and you do hear bass and mids. The treble is not the best. They sit in your ear, but do not go very far in . So you still hear all of the background at low volumes. If you remove one earbud your music will pause, then resume once you place it back into your ear.
There are no buttons on the earbuds. So you still have to use whatever device you are connected to in order to control your music or media. There is no dual connectivity, but you can use each earbud independent of each other. I'll say, during my workouts, I was very shocked how well they stayed in place. Even while running they did not budge. I believe the rubber coating on them helps keep them in place.
Overall, I could recommend them for just using them while exercising. Anything else, I would get a different pair. Lastly, these are MUCH better than Apple's original AirPods.

These hit everything on the list for a good pair of wireless buds. Good sound quality, they last for quite a while, mine didn’t connect on the Bluetooth LE at first and it went through the battery in just an hour so if you do have battery drain issues see if that is the same problem. Connectivity is solid, I was able to have them in my back pocket without an issue and be connected to multiple Bluetooth devices (watch, one wheel, glasses, and these) without it skipping. Back to the battery. If you wear your headphones all morning at work you will kill them before lunch (if you start before 7 and eat at noon), if you take breaks from your headphones for coffee or what not they will last without a problem with a 5 min charge here and there. One feature I like is that they aren’t super insistent that their battery is low. Other headphones become almost unusable once you hit 10% with the constant voice update that the battery is low. These just give a notification sound at 30%, 20%, and 10%. I personally really like this method. The case is bigger than my perfect size but not so big that it can’t be an easy front pocket carry. The wireless charge is a nice to have as well as the USB C charging. I think my biggest complaint is that the headphones are just a tiny bit bigger than my ears prefer, they fit and stay in perfectly they just don’t feel like they will in my ears. But that is a personal fit preference. Also, for reference my ear holes are on the small to medium size range.

This review is based on two weeks of use for calls and music streaming both at work and working around the farm.
In the box are the ear buds, silicon tips, charging case, 3" long charging cord, and quick start guide. Setup is easy with both Android and iOS, using the pairing button on the bottom of the case, a push notification is sent to the phone to complete the process. Upon pairing, and every time removing from the case, the battery status for each ear bud will pop up on Android, which is a nice feature if you frequently use only one ear bud. You will need to fully charge the ear buds out of the box, as they are packaged with limited charge. I was a bit disappointed with the length of the charging cord, I either have to leave it hanging out of the wall charger or find a wall outlet right next to a counter. Good news is that the case also works with inductive chargers eliminating the need to use the charging cable.
As far as functionality, music quality is ok and better than call quality due to no background noise cancellation. I found it difficult for someone to hear me clearly when taking calls in noisy environments or even when I was moving around. Music quality is decent, lacking depth but as expected with this style ear bud, the upside is that I can hear clearly even in moderately noisy environments without cranking up the sound. These ear buds allow you to use in single mode, however since the controls are on both ear buds, you do lose some functionality. The controls are touch based, with an audio tone when pressing.
I was extremely impressed with the battery life, I have not charged them in the 2 weeks of wearing them, due to case charging functionality. I can confirm the ear buds will last at least 4 hours on a single charge and the case is advertised to provide another 20 hours of use before having to charge the case. The eco-charging functionality is expected to prolong the battery lifespan, but only time will tell.
For build, the case is compact, with a magnetic single hinge for the lid. Unlike some cases, I'm not worried about the lid breaking, and so far the case hasn't opened while in my pocket or purse. The ear buds themselves are sleek, with white L/R indicators on the side, and charging contacts at the bottom of the portion that fits in your ear. The reason for 4/5 stars is due to fit and design of the actual ear bud. I found the fit to be uncomfortable with the silicone tips, when I removed the silicone, the fit is improved but they still don't feel secure in my ear. The second issue is that the charging contacts aren't perfectly flush with the ear bud, so for charging I have to move them around in the case to get the contacts seated just right to ensure charging occurs.
Overall, I found the adidas S.N.E 01 TW headphones to be a 6/10 for call quality, 7/10 for sound, 9/10 for ruggedness, 10/10 for battery life and 5/10 for comfort and fit. After two weeks of using them during workouts, calls, and music, they are a decent ear bud among similar types and price points. I'd recommend them for someone who knows this style ear bud will fit securely in ear and the primary use of streaming audio.

The first thing that I noticed when opening the package is the length of the charging cable to charge that battery in the case. It is about 3 inches long, not that long to have plugged into a capable charger and have sitting on a table or desk. I would think that any USB to USB-C cable could do the job. I would have liked to have seen a longer cord in the box.
This specific set of earbuds comes in either standard or automatic noise cancelling versions. This set is the standard no frills version of the earbuds.
Even without noise cancelling it provides ample volume that outside noises are not heard.
Run time is 5 hours according to the manufacturer's literature. The case can charge fully in about 2 hours giving you plenty of charge to recharge the earbuds for about 20 hours of recharging time. The case can also be charged wirelessly if you have a wireless charging pad.
The sound quality is very good, they rival a full-sized set of headphones that I own both in clarity and definition of sound.
These are surprisingly lightweight and very comfortable I can wear them for hours without felling any pressure that some earbuds give after a prolonged period. There is a silicone sleeved over the portion that sits inside the ear. This can be removed for a looser fit.
As far as the controls there are touch sensitive areas on each side. When listening to music or podcasts either can be used to control playback, skip forward or back through the media being played. Judging by the quick start guide, that is a bit unclear, the left one control answering or hanging up the phone. The controls can be a bit touchy. I have skipped songs when I only wanted to pause.
The one thing that I do like about them is that even if you put in one you can still listen to the media that you are playing. Others that I have tried favor just the right side to allow this function. This is a welcome change from what I am used to.
Overall, even with a couple of quirks this set is worth the money if you are looking for an alternative to pricier sets.

The pairing process was simple for iOS. sound quality is good. Battery life is as advertised. The unboxing experience was great! Packaging was thoughtful and not too much. No excessive amounts of plastic in the packaging. I have a medium size ear canal (no odd shapes), and these fit well. I'm not sure how they would fit a small, large or oddly shaped canal. The charging case fits well in a pocket. My largest gripe about these, is that they can get extremely loud. I don't have a way to measure DB output on these, but I'm confident that they can get in excess of 90DB. The weight of these are good. They don't seem to fatigue after a few hours of use. The last major thing I want to talk about these is the styling. These look good and really pop. I have had many comments about how these really stand out. The well-known logo, combined with the solid black with white styling really makes a statement. If you have hair that covers these, I wouldn't really look at these for that. These are winners!

These are not waterproof but sweat splash resistant nor do they offer anc. The extra silicone ear pieces are just one set and so if they do not fit perfectly, then out of luck. Fortunately they fit and I had no problems with slipping.
5 hours of battery life along with quick charging if you forgot to charge so nice feature. The touch controls are straightforward and respond well. You get about one hour with 15 minute quick charge so just enough for a workout but that is it.
On the stem of the buds you’ll find a set of touch controls, with which you can tap to play/pause, double-tap to skip forward a track, and triple-tap to skip backwards. You can tap to accept and end calls, too. The case is a nice firm factor and easy to carry and store your earbuds. While no anc, still does a good job at ambient noise reduction. Sound is not over the top but well rounded, no wow but more than adequate.
I think extra ear pieces should be a no brained because one size does not fit all, I was lucky but the fit always needed some adjustments so even I was not fully satisfied with the included tips.

Sadly Not the Earbuds for Me

There is much to like about these Adidas - Z.N.E. 01 TW - Night Grey Earbuds. The sound quality is very good. They connect quickly and very easily to different devices (phone, iPad, laptop). They come with a nice and compact charging case and usb 2.0 cable. They have a good anti sweat coating for grip and to protect the earbuds if you are wearing them while working out or working in the yard. They are indicated to have a 5 hour charge duration which from my use seems pretty accurate.
I’m used to using over the ear headphones, but headphones are not always convenient like when you’re working out or wearing glasses. So, I’m not really used to using in-ear earbuds, but I have to say that these Adidas ZNE 01 TW earbuds are comfortable to wear and they fit my ears just fine. I really want to like these earbuds, but I have to be honest and say the issue I have with them is that they cause me headaches with extended use (over an hour, like to listen to a complete music album or gaming session). When I say headache, I mean on the side of my head, surrounding my ear and into my jaw. I’m 51 years old and I listen with low to moderate volume and I have not had this issue with my over the ear headphones. Now, admittedly I am not used to using earbuds and your mileage may vary. Other than the headaches they actually work fine and sound good.
