I bought this for checking hotel rooms when we travel and to find pet marking's.
It has found Both.
Good to use At unaversal hotel in Orlando Fla. they did not put the light on.

It works wellenough if there is no other light.
I bought it for a cat that could not hould its blater.
Find the spots kind of thing.
If you are looking for one get one with a higher watt buld.
