I got this to replace my older version, which recently stopped working on MacOS Catalina. The interface still feels familiar enough, but has some features that are now way easier to use.

Tried out free stuff and for the price, this is the most intuitive and easy to use photo software around. Has some great features I am excited to try.

    Best software for object removal

For the most part, I'm happy with the editing options in the native Apple Photos software. Its only weakness is the object removal/context aware fill. I find myself removing distracting objects from photos so much that I decided to update my PE to the current 2020 version (from #15). Man, what an upgrade. Removing objects is so easy in this version and results in an undetectable change in 99% of instances. Even with complex backgrounds, the AI gets it right.

A good compromise to the full version of Photoshop

Having been a long time user of the full version of Photoshop, this is better than I expected. At this point I mainly need to be able to process large numbers of photos, and this does the trick. For the novice, it is probably more than you need. For the advanced user, it is probably good enough as long as you aren't looking to do intensive graphics work. Pleasantly surprised at how much can be done in this software compared to the full version of Photoshop.

I have used some Photoshop in the past. It's feature set, and capabilities were undeniable, but honestly it was also intimidating. I had considered taking a class to help get a grip on some of the more advanced editing features, but ultimately gave up instead because it was more of an investment of my time than I was willing to make. Along comes Photoshop Elements with exactly what I needed. Still a full featured editing suite, but it has an easy to use interface and many automated features to help me get the results I am looking for without taking any classes. In fact it is as easy as choosing one of three tabs...the quick tab gives you the choice of automatically enhancing your images with the most popular options people frequently use. It's as easy as can be. The guided tab gives you more control over your image enhancement, and gives more explanation as to what the features do. This is perfect for me, and exactly what I always wanted out of a Photoshop experience. Finally the Expert tab leaves everything to you and expands the toolset to encompass the full breadth of what Elements has to offer. Color corrections, skin smoothing, object removal, and much more are now easy to accomplish with Photoshop Elements 2020. This version of the program is not nearly as limited as I feared it might be. In fact it is very fully featured. This version of Photoshop is the best I have ever used. Most importantly it is EASY. Easy to use with room to learn, and grow. If you enjoy taking pictures you owe it to yourself to have a program like this, and Photoshop is as good as it gets. With the ease of use, and more importantly the great price give Photoshop Elements a shot. If you are anything like me you will be very glad you did!

    Upgrade from Elements 6

I upgraded from Elements 6 which i purchased 11 years ago so my review is in relation to that. The editor is great, much improved from my old Elements. Better user interface to make adjustments to tools. The organizer unfortunately has a lot of things i don't need like the people, places and events views. For that i use separate catalogs. All in all the new version is similar to the old one but with a lot more stuff tacked on to it.

This latest iteration of Photoshop Elements is similar to the 2019 version, which for some reason would not load into my laptop even though it worked perfectly fine on my desktop. I am not sure if that was a license issue but the new software loaded and worked as expected on the laptop running MAc OS Catalina. For those that are not familiar with photoshop, Elements is probably 90% similar to the real thing except it is an 8 bit application vs the 16 bit full version. Some of the functions and plug ins are rearranged and hidden in various places or simply not available, making it sort of kludgy, but in general it works as intended. PSE probably would not border anyone new to photoshop but can be irritating to anyone who had been using the software for years. The guided and novice modes can be helpful and fun. If you must have the full version, you have to subscribe to Adobe and pay a monthly fee. For the non professional user, Photoshop elements is probably fine but there are many equally capable photo editing software on the App store that are just as useful for less money.

Works as it says and the price is reasonable. It may seem like a lot once you open it and run it, but with some YouTube beginners guides you will start photoshopping all your pics. I was able to take a pic of my nephew dressed as a stormtrooper and place him inside the halls of the deathstar. If you can imagine it, you can photoshop it. Enjoy.

I wanted Photoshop but not on a subscription this is about the only thing left that fits the bill. It has most of the PS features included the only problem is they are moved all around. Still works great just need a learning curve if you're used to PS, if not it won't matter to you at all.

I've had 3 adobe photoshop programs, over the years. This is the best one so far. Easy to use and lots of features. I had to upgrade because windows xp was no longer supported by anything, so I had to get windows 10. Otherwise, I would still be using my original one, which I don't remember what it was called.

If you are into photo touch-ups and special effects, this is definitely the best program available because it does these things almost automatically and with the least amount of knowledge and effort. You will be surprised at all it can do. Well worth the price of the program.

I am still learning how to use the program and discovering different applications for it. Learning curve is not difficult but does require some trial use before feeling confident in its use. Doubgt I will ever need anyh more powerful tool for my work!

I have been using Photoshop I decided to try the Elements for everyday editing. So far so good. It's easy to use and the stuff that took a long time to do in photoshop, takes minutes in Elements. I'd definitely recommend this for the everyday quick edits.

I have Photoshop CS on my desk top which I use often. Wanted something complementary to CS for my laptop however do not need all the bells and whistles and didn’t want to invest the dollars required for Photoshop. This offers most of the features of CS at an attractive price.

I used to need Photoshop -- the full version. Now I just make simple book covers, alter photos and pictures, and otherwise do non-professional things with the program. Unless you're actually in need of an art program, Elements works great.

Very happy to have Photoshop Elements 2020. I have not used this program in many years so there is again a learning curve. This program has so many features that I thought might only be available in the full program. Nice surprise.

I have used a number of earlier versions of Photoshop Elements and have always found them easy to use and capable of doing what I need to do with them. The basic screen for editing is not as good as the previous version but I am adapting to it.

I upgraded to Photoshop Elements 2020 from Elements 7! I was very pleased the format remained the same, albeit with many more options. Very easy to upgrade from my prior version to this new software with almost no learning curve! Fantastic!
