Excellent remaster of a classic a must have for tactics fans

This is a remaster of 2 Game Boy Advance games, and I have to admit $60 seems a little pricey for what we're getting. The turn-based strategy gameplay has held up well, and the new artstyle is delightful. Characters have been hand-animated and have tons of personality. I will say the load times are surprisingly long for a game of this type. The game takes 20-30 seconds to boot and there are even loads between menus. Kind of disappointing considering they delayed it a whole year. Maybe don't pay full price for this (I didn't), but it's an enjoyable game nonetheless.

I loved the original advance wars and advanced wars 2. I’ve played through the entire campaign and they made improvements to some of the combat animations and flow of the game. Only downside is it eats my switch battery when not docked. Overall the game is a great remake and if you liked the game boy games you’ll enjoy this.

This is a great remake of these two classic games.

I always loved the AW series back in the GBA/DS days and have hated that there aren't really many other games in the genre (except for the very great Wargroove). So while it wasn't great to have to wait so long for release, this grand was worth the wait. It's a ton of fun and the HD graphics are a wonderful upgrade. For the price, I think Nintendo could've included the DS title Dual Strike, and once again Nintendo's backwards approach to online play ruins the potential of a map download system. But otherwise, the core game is a great update of a couple of classic titles and I hope we might see a brand new entry in the series one day.

This is a remake that is just oozing in personality and charm. The music sounds amazing, the characters and maps look excellent and the gameplay is just as you would expect from Advance Wars. I love this game and I'm so happy we get to have it after it's long, but understandable, delay. Excellent work WayForward!!
