Customers are saying
Customers consistently note the Aair 3-in-1 Pro HEPA Air Purifier's significant improvement in air quality and its quiet operation, even at higher fan speeds. Many appreciate the large, high-efficiency filter and the ease of setup and use. However, some users find the mobile application needs improvement in terms of user-friendliness and functionality, and the purifier's size may be a drawback for some.

Excellent air cleaner, TERRIBLE app
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.so, this is another one of those new devices that is totally controlled by your phone; not sure why a small remote isnt included, especially at this price. Anyways, very sleek and modern look, nice and quiet at low speeds, and does a good job at cleaning the air. Now, trying to control this thing or use the programs on the mobile app are ridiculous.. First of all, its very difficult, almost impossible to set any sort of time on and time off with the app; you have to "center" the time exactly in the row to get it to register. Thats a pain, but with some practice, you can get it to work. Next, if you want to program it to go off at bedtime and on in the next morning, its a convoluted process you have to go through; instead of just turning it off at 10 pm, and on at 6am the next day, you have to program 2 separate actions for each day! Then, when you try and use the "sleep" mode for bedtime, the cleaner kicks the fan up to its highest level, instead of its lowest level!! I have been working with one of their reps, who has been very helpful, but this app should have never been released, and, a cheap remote would have made this extra hassle un necessary. So, its great for its primary function of air cleaning, but horrible for how its operated remotely

Posted .Hello! We do understand some of the frustrations customers have had and are actively working to improve the app. By no means do you need to connect our air purifiers to a mobile app to operate it. Many of the functions are easily accessible from the controls on the unit itself (e.g. On/Off. Fan speed, Smart mode, Bedtime mode, filter life and filter reset). We’ve found, long term, most people don’t use remotes or they get lost, but the added functionality of a connected devices does have benefits beyond that of a simple remote control and they typically do not get lost and most people keep them very close. With regards to the program schedules and how we look at each day as a single 24 hour time period, we did that on purpose to allow for much more flexibility in setting unique program for each and every day of the week, but you are correct, you have to look at each day as an individual time period starting at 0:00 and ending at 23:59. Having a program bleed over into the next day could have programming issues, but as we learn how people are using our systems and the mobile app, we are adjusting to what makes the most sense. First and foremost, we are an air purifier manufacturer and not a mobile application developer. We do build our air purifiers to be the best air purifier you can buy. We hope to address many of the concerns we’ve received and even launch a better mobile app in the very near future.

Good but not Great compared to other brands
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TLDR: Good not great. Some poor design choices, non-useful display, a noisier than other brands, and bad app experience coupled with expensive replacement filters makes this difficult to recommend except to people with severe allergies. I really wanted to love the Aeris Cleantec 3 in 1 Air Purifier. It promises so much. Swiss made, a 2 year warranty and a filtration system that can remove viruses it feels like the smart choice. Unfortunately, there's a few things in my use that make the Aeris difficult to recommend. It would not my first choice for a smart air filter. Even if it provides heavy duty filtration. Out of the box the Aeris looks nice. I have graphite version. It's about 2' high and 15"x15". It it's heavy at 40lb, but the wheels are a nice feature and it was easy to get into position. It was a 2 person operation to get out of the box. The "lid" which has the controls lifts off easily (attaches magnetically), and the filter is easy to lift in and out. For what it's worth, my partner thinks the Aeris looks like a fridge. What is frustrating though is it also comes with 4 washable filters you install near the (bottom) air-intakes. The instructions are not clear and it took 3 of us to work out how you install the filters and we actually had to lay the unit on he side to work out how to do it. I'm still not convinced I got it right, even with the magnets in the filters. It's neither intuitive or well designed (sorry Aeris). I'm genuinely not looking forward to changing the washable filters. It's just not easy especially compared to other brands with washable filters. The filter is "smart" and you can connect it to an app to automate functions. I had no issue connecting to my 5G Mesh WiFi network. The app has some odd design and privacy choices (requires your mobile number for setup). The ability to set schedule runtimes lacks options, you can't set an overnight runtime (10pm-5am) because it only works in linear day time. So you need to set a 10pm-midnight, then 12:01-5am timer. This is huge oversight by Aeris where you may want the filter running on a silent mode when you sleep or to turn it off overnight. The big question on filters is how noisy is it. The Aeris left me a little disappointed. It's rated at 35db (night mode) but this is actually noticeable. I own smart air filters from other brands and the Aeris 3 in 1 is louder. Yes, it's louder that a comparable smart virus-killing filter I own. My preferred setting is night mode on the Aeris and you can hear the fan at work making it look and feel like a fridge because there's always a slight hum. It's marginally softer than an older non-smart air purifier I own, but not enough to warrant the investment when a $20 smart plug can make a dumb air purifier smart. Something frustrating about the Aeris, if you use the app to manually turn the Aeris off at night, when you turn it on it defaults to #2 speed on the fan (not your last setting, or fan speed #1) so it starts loud. All of which means I spend more time worry about the Aeris than just enjoying clean air. I would also, as a result, not recommend it for a bedroom but a room where you can leave it on 24/7 and unless you need the night mode doesn't bother you. On the plus side, the display is not bright and it's subtle enough in a dark room to not shout out "here I am, I'm an air filter". But again, on the compromises the controls are a little odd. The up and down buttons seem to sometimes work for both up and down. In fact, this the Aeris is the first product in a long time where I had to keep going to read the manual because I felt like I must have missed something. FYI, and there are other filters that have clear displays that tell you more so this is why the Aeris falls short. If you don't use the Aeris with the app on phone, you won't know much about your air quality. The air quality improvement it delivers is noticeable. But not any better than similar large filters that have better apps or no smarts or that also kill viruses. Filters are rated for a year, I think I would get longer given I am using it a smoke and pet free home, but in my early research the filters are a lot more expensive that competitors. I won't quote prices, as these change but would encourage you to look at replacement filter costs before you buy this or any purifier. Overall, I don't think this is really a household device unless you suffer from very severe allergies or live in a particularly badly polluted area (prone to wildfires or smog). I think it would be better suited for medical offices or a busy office where the noise and replacement filter costs are justified and where you an leave it on 24/7 and don't really want the smarts. So buy it as a heavy duty purifier not for any other reason. In my experience, the Aeris is just not a set and forget filter. If Aeris make significant improvements to the app (possible), update the firmware on the unit so it defaults to the last used or runs in a more silent mode, or lowers the price of replacement filters I would reconsider my review. Having used other filters, there are better choices.

Posted .Thank you for your feedback. We agree that the four black pre-filter screens are challenging. We are actively working to improve the setup experience and one key aspect is better instructions on installing those filters. You mentioned that we are “noisier than other brands”, but if you compare noise level to comparable CFM fan speeds, we are in fact quieter. The 3in1 Pro can move a maximum of 390 CFM on its highest fan speed, that is at least 30% more air than some other brands in this category. More air flow means it can cover larger areas or provide more air changes per hour than our competitors. Also, when you move more air, you are going to be louder. A fair comparison is comparing decibel levels at comparable fan speeds.
We are constantly looking to improve our mobile app. The program schedules were purposely designed to look at each day individually to allow for more detailed and customizable programs for each day.
While our filters do cost more, they tend to last much longer than our competitors. When you compare filter-life based on similar CFM air flow and hours of operation, we’ve found that our filter replacement cost can be half that of our competitors that provide the similar filtration (particulates and VOC filtration). Depending on usage, you could see our filter lasting almost 2 years or more. Plus, we have one filter to replaced where some of our competitors have 2 or 3 filters to replace.
We appreciate your feedback and we do listen to our customers to see how we can improve our systems.

Great Air Cleaner for large areas!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have looked for a smart air purifier to help with our family allergies, but I have been looking for something that isn't bulky and hideous. The Aeris definitely checked that box! This unit is absolutely beautiful! It compliments our living area and it not only looks beautiful but does a great job as well! Our allergies are noticeably better, and we don't even have to think about it! The only thing I would say that could use improvement is the app, it is definitely not the greatest.

First Class Air Cleaner
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very impressed with this unit. Packaging was solid and no issues with unboxing. Setting the unit up was simple with getting the power cord from the base, but I had to watch a YouTube video to make sure I was putting the 4 microfilters in correctly. They were tricky at first. Other than that, plug it in and download the app for the rest of the setup. I do find the fact the company needs your phone number to complete the account setup to be a bit intrusive. Outside of that, set up was a breeze via the app. The unit measures both inside and outside air quality so that is a great feature. As far as operation, I found it to be very straightforward. When they say whisper quiet I absolutely agree up to level 3 on the fan. It's still fairly quiet but can be heard across the room. Anything beyond that and up to level 6. It can be heard throughout my entire townhouse. Not that this is a negative, it is simply an observation. The filer is self contained and you simply lift up on the top control panel and it lifts right off. Two tabs are marked so you can simply lift the entire filter out of the unit. Only reason I'm giving this 4 stars 8s that when I went to check on getting a backup filter, they are $200.00. That may be a real turnoff for your everyday consumer like myself. I've been running it on mid speed for the last two days and definitely have noticed a cleaner smell in the air rather than just a typical house smell all closed up for the winter. This is solidly built and nothing on it feels or looks cheap. I'd say get one especially in today's COVID world.

very effective and high volume filtration
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.the good: - filtration - It’s an air filter, so it’s probably important that it does some filtering of the air right? It does just that, and it does it very well. Since I started using this filter I’ve noticed that my allergies (pet dander, dust, etc.) have all calmed down quite a bit. What’s more is that you know those scents you can go “nose blind” to, for example, when you have pets? Just kind of the way your home can smell a bit like you have pets living there, but since you live there too you don’t really notice it unless you leave for the day and then come back to be able to smell it? This filter has *really* helped with that in our house. I put the unit in a central location and just let it do its thing. The auto configuration senses when the air isn’t as clean as it should be and kicks into higher gear. This auto sensing of air quality works on other odors as well, from the cooking in the kitchen to smoke from the grill on the porch that wandered in when the back door was open. One tip - if you cook bacon you may want to turn this unit off if you want the house to smell like bacon for the rest of the day! - relatively small footprint - For as much air as it seems to filter, it has a very small footprint, about the size of a medium trash can. - automatic operation - No need to turn the filter up and down. It monitors (and records) the air quality and changes its operation based on this. - air filtration volume - As I mentioned earlier, I’ve placed mine in a central location in my house. It does quite well at filtering all of the open living space. - app connectivity and data (air quality) - App connectivity via wifi (after bluetooth connection setup). App is simple and well designed, and shows current and historical data for both indoor air quality and reported outdoor quality as well. - 4 smaller reusable “large particulate” filters, one giant “micro” filter. Ingenious filter design, with 4 smaller screen type filters which will remove large particulate (think fuzz, hair, etc.) and allow the micro filter to do its job. - design/color - Looks kind of like a space age trash can to me. Sleek and minimalistic design. the bad: - none really misc: - Quiet is a bit of a misnomer here. If your air quality is good then yes, it’s barely audible. When it kicks into higher gears it is mostly definitely audible. Although it’s not intrusive or obnoxious sounding, you certainly know its there. Though to be fair, a large amount of air moving through a smaller space is going to create sound. There is simply no way around this. overall: I’ll end the review here with an “incident” that proves the level of filtration and odor removal this Aair provides. At the risk of “TMI”, I’ll just say that one of my dogs had an accident (the solid kind) on the floor inside, in a room on the other side of the filter from where I was sitting. As I moved toward that room I did finally smell it, but what’s really interesting here is that I DID NOT smell it on the other side of the filter! I.e. when the filter was between me and the “accident” I had no idea it was there. If that doesn’t illustrate the effectiveness of this filter then I’m not sure what will :-) *Highly* recommended, even at this price point. Easy 5 stars for me.

An Awesome Protector of Pollutants!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I truly never realized how potent and toxic one’s atmosphere can get from basic day-to-day chores such as cooking, spraying of aerosols, cleaners, etc., all of which lends to pollutants. I was especially shocked to find out how much smoke from the cooking of bacon can release harmful toxins into the air. Aeris Pro has been a Godsend as I have discovered as I am aging, I have lots of allergies. As such, keeping a healthy environment is so essential. The machine was easy to assemble as all it took was placing 4 filters on the bottom, then from there downloading an app and connecting first to Aeris and thereafter connecting to your own WiFi, which was kind of interesting as I thought, at least one step could have been eliminated. I personally would like to have seen a remote to operate the unit instead of an app. The unit’s performance is amazingly good as it does a wonderful job in eliminating bad air quality. I keep Aeris’s air quality index chart handy in order to assure that my apartment has quality air. There are six speeds that the device runs. On average one or two does a great job in keeping my apartment at optimal air quality levels. The only time I have needed purification at level six is when I fried bacon as the smoke emitted hazardous toxins into the air. Overall, I am quite pleased with this unit as it does a great job of keeping my overall environment’s air quality at acceptable levels. The only negative that I can associate with the unit is that replacement filters are pricey and that is something that I will deal with as it comes! I am reminded of an old adage that says, “you get what you pay for!” I guess only time will tell!

Amazing
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We love this product! At low speeds it is very quiet. At a 6 it is very loud, but I think you could deal with it, if you needed to run it at a 6. I have a pixel 5 and really struggled to download the app, I finally just did it on my iPad. We have a lot of dust because it is so dry, our air quality went from a 15 to a 2 fairly quickly!!

CLEANER AIR
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got the Aeris Cleantec Pro Air Purifier because I wanted to see if it would really help improve our indoor desert environment. It advertised all sorts of allergens that it worked to eliminate from your indoor environment, so I thought we'd give it a try. First off ... the unit is very attractive. It was packaged extremely well ... 1 shipping box, 1 inner box, 1 advertising sleeve, and a really nice cloth bag. The only "setup" required was to install 4 small, external filters at the bottom of the unit. While they were ultimately very easy to install, the Instruction Booklet was of NO HELP. It showed one tiny picture of where the filters are installed, but there was no closeup of them being installed nor how to do it. Written information was severely lacking, especially considering how many pages were dedicated to describing the internal filters that you do NOT touch unless servicing them. I was disappointed in the quality of the info in the booklet. The Air Purifier itself is a very nice unit. Sturdy. Attractive. Nice rollers so easily moved around the room. I think the overall effectiveness of the Purifier would have been better if we had positioned it closer to the sliding door (...which is usually open...) so it could purify the air coming into the house vs trying to purify the air already inside. We have a large great room with 22ft ceilings. We could not really tell any difference in the quality of the room's air after using the unit for 2 weeks, 24/7. The slightly loud "hum" it made while running was ok (...we got used to it...), but some may find it a little annoying. One unexpected problem was Interference with our Samsung Smart TVs connection to the internet (Netflix). Since the Aeris is wifi capable AND we had it about 5 feet away from our TV, it took over the local wifi and wouldn't let our TV connect to our internal wifi. It took me a few minutes to figure it out, so I had to turn OFF the Aeris so our TV could find our internal wifi and connect to it. STRANGE. Overall I've the Aeris. I'm going to reposition it closer to the sliding door (other end of great room) versus being near the TV. By doing this, I'm hopeful that: (1) it won't interfere with our TV connect to wifi .. and ... (2) we'll see a better improvement in the indoor air quality. I would recommend the Aeris to others - especially if they have allergens.

quiet, automated, and looks sleek
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Living in south texas, allergies have been killing me. Especially with construction happening in our neighborhood digging up extra dirt/dust, I've noticed my allergies have been roaring in full force to the point I'm more miserable inside my own home than at work. The biggest factor for me was being able to find an air purifier able to cover the sq ft, but for my wife, it had to be a unit that didn't look terrible in our brand new home with a nice open concept living space. Enter the Aeris. It genuinely looks nice sitting in the corner of our den, with a nice titanium/graphite-color matte finish. Rolls easily on castors, and you can set the unit to automatically adjust air flow based on air quality. I've not been needing to use as much sinus rinses at home ever since turning it on, so I can say it definitely works for my needs.

Im an avid fish eater I cook lots of salmon and fried fish. After frying a batch of fish I saw the purifier was reading 9 AQI and about an hour later it read 2 AQI and the fish smell was gone. Stylish, and really covers a large space
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Out of the box this isn't a small air purifier. This is about the size of a dorm size refrigerator or a small kitchen size trashcan. So compared to other purifiers I've had this is considerably larger. That aside this purifier is beautiful. With its large LED screen on top with easy to read and push button functions and its aerodynamic shape it adds to any room you put it in as far as appearance. The app is super easy to work through and has every feature and function you could possibly need or want One of the features I really liked is the automatic air quality feature where the fan automatically speeds up or slows down depending on the air quality basically making it a smart monitoring air purifier.Another feature I liked was the ability to lock the buttons on top of the machine. I have a 3 year old who loves to push buttons and flip switches and fortunately I can lock this so he can't meddle with it. It's quoted as being able to cover up to a 900 sq. foot room and with its size for some maybe not being able to pick it up to move it, it has wheels on the bottom for easy placement. Setting up the cleaner was very easy. Most everything connects by using magnets including the pre-filters Changing the air filter is extremely simple you basically pop off the top and pull it out and simply drop in the replacement. The HEPA filter removes up to 99.97% of airborne particles. Also having a gas filter for removing and eliminating all of those nasty odors When you crank this up on the higher speeds this baby sounds like it's about to take off like some kind of turbine or wind tunnel but the quickness in how it takes the polluted air back down to a a nice low and safe number really blew my mind. I'm on oxygen so air quality is extremely important and this is my new best friend!

Expected more from such a pricey purifier
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First issue - they require your phone number to just create an account. Sorry, but I don't give my phone number out to ANYTHING since I get enough junk robocalls as it is. There is no way whatsoever to use an email account like just about every other product out there. I confirmed this with their support. Mobile phone number required. Which means right off the bat I can't do any of the "smart" features. No app control. The claim of "whisper quiet" when it's on its lowest setting is a bit of a stretch, but I guess from a simple decibel level it's likely valid. It is quiet on its lowest setting. However, so is my Alen air purifier, which is about the same noise level. But my Winix units actually are quieter when in low. Fit and finish is alright, but again, at this price point I would have expected better. The edges of the top are inconsistent and flex out past the plastic top edge ring around a couple corners, making it look as if it's not quite centered right. Since I can't connect it to wireless due to the phone number requirement, I have to see the "I'm listening..." prompt frequently. The controls on the unit are disappointing as well. I love a minimalist control panel as much as the next person but the speed control doesn't seem to always catch the input. And you need to pay close attention to which button is just SLIGHTLY brighter than the others, so you know if it's in auto mode, or manual speed setting. And you won't know what speed it's at if it's in manual without trying to change it. The display won't show current speed for manual control other than momentarily during button pressing. Some people will like the way they did speed control. If you just keep hitting up it'll cycle the upward half only, so you don't have to jump through the lower settings again. Example - put it on speed 1. Hit the larger circle to increase speed. Speed 2. Next is 3, then 4, 5, 6, as you'd expect. If you keep going up it hits "night mode" and then if you hit up again it goes right to 4. So up control gets in a 4,5,6,sleep loop and never bothers with 1, 2, or 3. Hitting the DOWN button gives you the opposite. From 1, it goes sleep mode, then 3, 2, and back to 1. Which at least means if you want to jump speed up you won't have to skip the slowest settings, just like if you want to slow speed down, you wouldn't have to cycle through the faster settings. This is handy since you don't actually get to SEE the speed it is currently at on the display without manually changing it., just the air quality and for me the endless "I'm listening..." Noise levels are quite loud on the higher settings. But then again, this is moving a considerable amount of air on the highest setting. Speed 4 seems about on par with the turbo setting on my Alen purifier as far as air movement goes. But even at 4, this is louder than the Alen is on turbo. The good thing about the noise here is it is a lower hum on anything 4 or below. It doesn't really get different until you hit 5 or 6. And since I would imagine those settings would mostly be used if you're trying to freshen up an area the first time, likely you'd put this there, crank it, and then not be there for a while, so it may be OK. This has some good filtering, but it's going to be expensive to replace it, which is another downside to many homes. I've been trying to get the air quality sensor to do anything, and I've failed so far. With the Alen one, even on the far side of my dining room, opposite of the kitchen, it'll speed up as I'm cooking. If I spray something like Febreeze in the room, it'll also trigger it and it'll increase speed. This one so far I have been unable to get it to make a change when it is in auto mode. Cooking, cleaning products, my son's laundry basket - nothing seemed to trigger it. I like that it is on wheels, and easy to move, since this is a heavy one compared to the others. And it has no handles or good handholds so those wheels are really needed. You can at least tilt it though and nudge with your foot to get it over the dividers between carpet and hard floors. The display is dim enough, and the screen is frosted so that at night, this wouldn't have enough light to bother anyone while sleeping. They really need to expand the registration options though. I don't know of a single relative of mine or friend who would give a phone number out to create an account for something like this. And so I am left with an expensive air purifier that does even less for me than my Wifi enabled Winix which cost almost one fifth of the price...

Posted .We are sorry that you do not like the app. We are constantly working to update it and make improvements. I’ve shared your concerns with the App development team regarding the requirement of a phone number, but I believe it’s to ensure the accounts are valid. When you compare noise or decibel level, you also need to take into consideration the volume of air the unit is moving. The 3in1 Pro moves more air than the Alen’s most expensive unit and twice as much air as a Winix System, and so it’s going to be louder, but we can cover a larger area or provide more air changes per hour. With regards to filter replacement costs, we've done a lot of analysis and we've found that we actually have a low filter replacement cost compared to other air purifiers in this category. Most system require you to replace your filters every 6 months, depending on usage. Our filter generally last about a year, but when you compare the actual cost and number of replacements, it's very low, half in some cases when you compare similar usages (CFM rate and hours of operation). Again, I’m sorry you are unhappy with our system. Best Buy does have an easy return policy and you can always return it for a refund. We want our customers to be happy with our systems and if they are not, by all means, do not hesitate to return it.

Posted .We understand that everyone has unique needs and has different sensitivities and that is why we make a variety of air purifiers. The Lasko Air Flex uses a Merv10 HVAC panel filter which (at best) is only 64.9% efficient at removing particles that are 1.0 to 3.0 microns in size. The 3in1 Pro is 99.95% efficient at removing particles as small as 0.1 microns in size (100x smaller). Particles smaller than 0.3 microns are considered the most dangerous as they can enter your body very easily through the lungs and cause people to have adverse reactions. The 3in1 Pro also has almost 2 lbs. of activated charcoal and activated alumina that will remove a wide range of VOCs from the air. HVAC panel filters used with the Lasko Air Flex lack this feature. Also, the LASKO Air Flex is rated to have a CADR of 42, while the 3in1 Pro CADR is over 360. That means it won't filter the air as often or cover as large of an area as our 3in1 Pro. So, we must disagree that you'll get the same results, that simply is not the case. Everyone has different sensitivities, and while that Lasko solution may be the right solution for you, it will most certainly not be the right solution for others.
