Does everything it says it should do. I love the fact that you can do gardening indoors, and everything is programmed and tells you when to add water. Plant food. How many days it’s been since seed planting. Gives tips to taking care of, pruning etc. This is my 2nd year and I’ve constantly had vegetables. Tomatoes, red peppers, bell peppers.

Really love this as a way to grow certain veg & herbs in the winter (and really, all year round). There is enough clearance to grow things like tomatoes and peppers, and I've also had success growing basil and other herbs concurrently. Just make sure you put some thought into spacing and arrangement of the pods.

So far so good. Assembly is a little harder than the smaller units but that is to be expected. After that set up is the same and only takes a few minutes to be on your way to growing. All of my tomato plants have sprouted despite the fact that the pods that Best Buy sent me with the unit had a best buy date of about 5 months past. Got this on sale around Christmas.

I bought this to help grow basil and tomatoes so I could cook with it. Honestly it’s absolutely amazing it not only grows fast but the herbs and vegetables are so fresh. I am planning on buying another one so I can grow a different set of herbs. Being able to grow herbs and vegetables without having to go outside and it gets around any weather issues. Honestly amazing product, it also doubles as house decor.

I bought this unit before I knew there was one double the size but so glad i did. This thing is great and works better than advertised. So versitile. I did get the 24XL after I experienced the quality of the 12XL. I use this unit for growing flowers and the larger one for food.

I got the Aerogarden and set it up the same day. It was easy to set up. It took less than four days from planting that seeds started to sprout. 11 of the 12 pods sprouted. I've never seen plants grow so quickly. This is day 17 since planting and some of the lettuce plants are almost ready to pick. I wish the starter kit had included tomatoes but I didn't have a choice. It was only lettuce, basil, chives, and dill. My only criticism is the price. It is such a simple device; I think it could be sold for half the price and still make a profit. Still, I think it was a good purchase. It will never pay for itself but it's definitely a fun hobby.

It has a touch screen interface which is clunky to use but functional. However, the darn thing won't connect to any WiFi network so i can't view remotely or download updates.

Overall it is great for indoor garden lovers to grow vegetables and fruits but not all . They have specific seeds . Low maintenance. Easy setup . WiFi was defective but not required to grow .

Surprisingly easy to put together, with astonishingly quick results. I've had Aerogardens before, and I was a little intimidated by having to put together my own, but it took me less than half an hour even with cat interference. The touchscreen is incredibly simple and straightforward, and after just a few days I already have sprouts in most of the pods.

This is great. As someone living in an apartment but loves to use my green thumb this is perfect. There isn’t a plant that I can’t grow!

The Farm 12 XL was easy to put together. It took maybe an hour to assemble. The instructions were pretty clear and easy to follow. Adding the plants and fertilizer took only a few minutes. The electronics keep track of the times to fertilize and lighting. Still waiting for some of the plants to germinate. Overall it looks like a great deal.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my wife since I wanted to give her something besides the usual jewelry gift. She's grown different types of lettuce and spices and it's amazing how quickly this stuff grows. The lettuce has been quite useful since Santa bought the kids a bunny for Christmas and she loves the lettuce we grow.

Love the Aerogarden products for growing all kinds of different things. I am using this one to grow tomatoes, but they are still only in the very early stages. I have two other units on my kitchen counter and I love them both. Easy to use and maintain.

This Garden is pretty sweet. It holds a ton of water, and I have the aerogarden tank attached. 4 weeks in I haven’t needed to add water yet. It reminds me to do everything. The touchscreen display is easy to navigate. It’s so tall, some of my neighboring plants are stealing some light. Win win!

This system is great, but don't buy it expecting that 12 plants are gonna feed your entire family on a regular basis, maybe if you buy multiple units or you're growing something with a short maturity period. The pods I received: 2x deer tongue (lettuce) 2x rouge d'hiver (lettuce) 2x black seeded Simpson (lettuce) 2x marvel of 4 seasons (lettuce) 1x dill (Herb) 1x basil (Herb) 1x chives (Herb) 1x red sails (lettuce) The unit works, but mine has a little wobble (it rocks back and forth, not sure why since my other units don't have this defect) Also, this unit only fits 12 pods and I bought it on sale for $350 (don't pay more than $450 if you choose to buy it, they're always on sale and they're not worth more than that). It might be in your best interest to consider purchasing 2 Aerogarden Harvest Elite units that each fit 6 pods (for a total 12 pods) since you can buy 2 of those for $200. Also worth noting that owning these units means that with the farm 12 you'll see about $6-$8 added on your electricity bill each month (yeah... it consumes that much power) while the Harvest elite units only add about $2 per unit. Where the Farm XL series shines is with growing large plants like tomatoes and peppers... unfortunately all it comes with is lettuce so people purchasing from best buy, like me, don't get to experience what the unit is really meant for unless they purchase the seed pods separately. I think this is great for a fun little plant hobby but it's not a massively scalable solution for people who want to grow all of their own produce. My 3 star rating does not mean that I hate this product or that it doesn't work, it just means that it has some short comings and can be an expensive unit to operate and to make the initial investment in compared to the smaller Harvest and Bounty series that can easily fit on a desk or countertop and produce the exact same output at half or a third of the cost. Although this unit has wifi capabilities, which is a nice touch. Unfortunately the screen does not shut off.

I am amazed at how good it works. I am mad at myself for not getting the farm 24. But I am very happy. I will eventually get the farm 24 but for now this is awesome. You wont be disappointed Felix C.

I love my Aerogarden. I waited a year to finally buy it and it was worth the wait. The pod selection's are great and my peppers and tomatoes and just sprouting. It is so easy to setup and use.

Bought this during a sale (otherwise it’s a little pricey) and it’s pretty nice. My wife is starting tomatoes, shishito peppers, and bell peppers. We are looking forward to the harvest!

After struggling to grow garden vegetables in my yard due to hungry animals, this was heaven sent. It was easy to set up & didn’t take up too much space in my kitchen. I am patiently waiting to reap the rewards. A great product!

Bought AeroGarden farm12XL and have had it a little over a week. I now have tomato and cucumber sprouts already. love it so much I just ordered another one. Best Buy has a youtube video on how to put it together instructions for the farmXL. My granddaughter age 7 enjoyed putting the boults in while I held the frame. It took about 30 min, to put it together. If I had not watched Best Buy video I would have had a hard time with the instructions
