AeroGarden - Farm 12XL with Salad Bar Seed Pod Kit - Hydroponic Indoor Garden - Black

I love my Aerogardens. I purchased a 24xl from Best Buy for $499.99 (really good sale price at the time). My photo I posted has a Aerogarden 24 basic on top. I was worried it would be difficult to see the top display, but I'm 6'1" and im just tall enough where I don't need a step stool to see both displays. The assembly: The assembly is pretty easy, though a few of the holes for the bottom metal support bars don't line up, or just aren't drilled well. I was able to put the bolts in with some force, and at an angle and seems to be fine. Setup: The display is pretty intuitive and connecting to wifi was a breeze. The mobile app is an exact replication of the display. I do find it slightly annoying I have to turn my phone sideways to use it. Thoughts so far 2 weeks in: I absolutely love my Aerogardens. I purchased a seed starting tray off of Aerogardens website to eventually transplant the seedlings outdoors, which can be seen on the bottom left of my photo. I did invest in an air pump and airstones, as many people online swear by the extra oxygen in the water. I also purchased a magnetic temperature gauge so I can monitor the room temp, as hydroponic plants don't like warm conditions. The light panels do let off some considerable heat, so plan on buying fans to prevent tip burn. The fans I have are Vornado fans, I purchased two different sizes, and after some use, I think the smaller fan is suitable. The only other advice I would recommend is joining some Facebook groups to learn tips and tricks from others. I'm pretty well versed growing in soil, but it's a learning curve with hydroponics. Easy to assemble by myself and get started. Designed well for easy assembly. I bought while on extreme sale so wasn't too worried about details on what seed packets came with it. Mine was a 12x pack of all tomatoes though, so not what I expected in the salad bar mix. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the trellis comes with it.

I love the AeroGarden farms, I have 7 total, but DO NOT buy from Best Buy. They sell old, outdated models. I bought two of the 12XLs on clearance. Both of them came with seed pod kits that expired in 2021, the old style non functional trellis and will not stay connected to WIfi. They otherwise work ok, but beware that Best Buy is shipping extremely old, out of warranty products. You can get brand new products at extremely good prices when they go on sale on the manufacturer’s website. I recommend that route instead of Best Buy

Love this unit. Plenty big. Accommodates multiple plants at once. Tells you when to water and feed. Only issue is the the starter pack included has expired seeds that didn’t grow

I’m not sure way some reviewers said that it was hard to assemble? The install process was last then 30 minutes and the light feature on this mode is amazing. Currently I am going salad along with the mighty tomatoes pod with a few herbs. The only thing I have issue with is that this model needs replacement filters which the product description does not state.

Love it, got a great deal from bestbuy last summer and i wanted go big or go home trying this aerogarden out. It has really brought my hardening to the next level. I bought the seed starter kit which let me set up my spring garden in a big way with kale, cabbage, strawberries and much more

Day 20 and all 3 of our jumbo veggies are going strong. Easy setup and assembly, it probably took less than hour altogether. We love how the unit itself is sleek and not an eyesore in our living room. I am definitely considering another unit for herbs (apparently, it is not recommended to mix “tall” plants with short plants). For the jumbo veggies, instructions say to not plant more than 3 even though the unit technically has 12 spots.

The AeroGarden Farm 12 XL is wonderful. I have two of these units. I am growing Sweet Bell Peppers and Poblano Peppers in one and Jalapenos in the other. My children love watching the plants and helping me tend to them. It's a wonderful way to bring life and fresh produce into your home. The unit controls your light cycle and water aeration automatically. It will tell you when you need to add water and plant food. It also gives you three feet of growth height clearance.
