    Fantastic, best bluetooth headphones EVER!

First, I received these a gift from my sister. I use my bluetooth headphones most of the day. So when I say these are the best I am very serious. Bluetooth range is the best I have ever experienced, accidentally left the phone on my desk walked on the other side of my house, no loss. Note for FIT: people with a small head, buy the Aftershockz Air mini, the difference between the Air and Titanium as far as I can tell is Titanium has a larger battery. Performance is indistinguishable by me. /shrug They are supposed to be SWEAT proof, not water proof. There are not a lot of controls, simple to use and does not block your ability to hear your surroundings. I cannot imagine a way to make them better other than cut the price in 1/2. If anything happens to these, I am buying another pair. Durability; short of running over them with a heavy solid wheel vehicle or taking a hatchet to them I cant see how I would hurt them. P.S. There are people out there selling design stickers to put on AfterShockz Air and Titanium, I considered them (I want mine to be different from others) but I wonder if the stickers do not diminish the reception and right now that is awesome. Do not hesitate, buy this one. Just choose your color and size.

    Surprisingly great audio, impractical design

I purchased these headphones because I just put my Powerbeats 3 through the wash and need new wireless headphones. I was very curious about the audio quality and could not believe how clear my music was! Aftershokz has created an entirely new way to enjoy music with the convenience of being aware of your surroundings. I can barely tell a difference between these headphones and my every day ear buds. The only downfall in the audio was the lack of bass but otherwise these perform beautifully. I am going to be returning them however simply because of the design. There is no way to adjust the fit on your head and in my case, the headphones don't work well for me while I'm at the gym, particularly doing bench press or squatting. While they don't fall out of place from regular head movement, when laying down on a bench or shrugging my shoulders during squats, they do move out of place to the point that it does alter the quality. If you are someone who likes hiking, running, biking, or just everyday use these headphones would be great for you. They offer amazing sound while maintaining awareness of your surroundings.

Just use it for a few hours. It is a great product. Very comfortable for hours. The audio quality is good enough for audio books. Most importantly, no more worry about the ear infections.

    Great for what I needed

These were great for what I needed them to be. I work in an office, and sometimes wanted to listen to music without drowning the rest of the office out. They were great since they were not noticeable. They were also great as I have lots of ear jewelry as well as small ears, which made most in-ear headphones uncomfortable. While these were not the most comfortable, they worked better than anything I've had. I just wish my dog hadn't gotten to these just after a few days of having them. I can't really justify buying a replacement, but maybe some time in the future.

I enjoy listening to music while I am skiing or biking but I hate having my ears covered or blocking the noises around me. I have tried headphone built into helmets, small handlebar speakers, ear buds, and speakers in my backpack. I gave up using these because it was difficult to have a converstaion while the music was playing or I felt disconnected from my surroundings. The Trekz Air have none of these drawbacks and they sound pretty good too.

Great for use with hearing aides

I have over the ear hearing aids and these work great. Without my hearing aids I am almost deaf. With these headsets I can hear sounds clearly. I tried them with the hearing aids on and off and there was no difference. They're not what you'd call audiophile headsets. Music is OK but not great. I use them mainly for watching training videos and they work fine.

Great for music; sucky for phone calls.

I bought a set of Aeropex several years ago and was really stoked over them. However, now I'm on my third pair, having had the other two replaced under warranty, and I'm really bummed. They work exceptionally well for listening to music. I wear hearing aids and can take them out and hear the music perfectly with the bone conduction. However, every time I try to use the headset for a phone call, they cut me off. This has been the problem with every set I've gotten. If they had advertised them for listening to music, I would be very happy with them. But they say you can use them for phone calls, and in my experience, one cannot. I will keep them for listening to music, but will give up on trying to use them for phone calls.

I bought the first Aftershokz headset, it hurt my cheek bones, then I tried the 2nd one last week and returned it, also not great, my daughter told me it had an echo. Now the TrekZAir is fabulous, light on my jaw, and connects to multi point technology right away!!! I bought it two days ago and wore it all day today!!! Pros...great sound , light on the jaw , easy to use sort of!!! Con's.... very expensive, doesn't announce the call coming in, I need an on/off switch the volume key turns power on and off ,is too hard to find , with long nails...other wise I am so happy !! I have been using the Plantronics 5220 for a long time, and I feel the pressure in my ear, it is a pleasure that my ears are free now Yay!!!!!

Few things in this world inspire me to actually take a minute to share. This...to call it a mere ‘product’ would be demeaning...this Reverse Engineered Alien Relic is simply a gift to the human skull. I am a rather tall and large human. Ear buds, besides being generally unhygienic, will NOT stay nested in my ear holes. I spend more time tweaking and reseating them than enjoying music or podcasts. Ear buds have now gone the way of the dodo. Trust me. Get this headset and change how you listen to music, talk on the phone, etc...forever. They are tough, elegantly designed and extremely easy to use. Worth every penny.

Bone conduction works. The technology has improved. If you are buying headphones in this price range, the AfterShokz Trekz may prove to be a viable alternative. Make no mistake, bone conduction technology does not improve upon the technology that sticks something in or on healthy ears. If your eardrum is damaged, bone conduction may be the only alternative to headphones. I like the idea of being able to hear my environment while listening to music. I want to be responsive to people, traffic, emergency services, etc. AfterShokz Trekz is good for this. My first disappointment was the noise cancellation on the microphone. The AfterShokz Trekz purchased from Best Buy did not prove any more capable of eliminating background noise as any other run-of-the-mill Bluetooth headset. People complained that I was distant and they heard "electronics noise". My second disappointment was the sound quality of music. It matches a transistor radio from my youth but is not as good as a couple other portable radios with speakers that are in my small collection. Adding earplugs might be confused as bass enhancement but it only muddied the sound for me. My greatest disappointment is that Best Buy would not assist me during the return process. The store representative suggested that I audition conventional headphone technology but would not permit me to audition another AfterShokz Trekz. I could only prove if my purchased pair were defective by purchasing another pair. I considered that I may have encountered a narrow-minded employee but I encountered the same "policy" at three other stores (2 in Colorado, 2 in Pennslyvania) and was given similar explanations. If you want to listen to a ball game while riding your bike, the AfterShokz Trekz may be a good choice. If you want a headphone that will not shake off your head while excersizing or working, the AfterShokz Trekz should be considered.

    Decent headphones

I like the ease of headphones and that you no longer need to place them in your ears. You do need to position them just right to get the best sound and get used to the different feeling of the conduction. Don't expect them to drown out loud noises like a snowblower or lawn mower but it works good in the gym or office setting.

I tried the Air for about a month while cycling. I LOVE the open concept. I get so frustrated when people on the bike trail have headphones on. The Air was good - good sound, lightweight. BUT, I couldn't find an angle that didn't hurt after 30 minutes. Had to return them.

Decent didn't live up to the hype

I just bought the Trekz Air and my first impression was that they were good, but after a little experimenting I realized that the shape of your head matters. The headphones function better when aligned on a bone and when there is higher pressure on that bone. I have a relatively narrow head so the sound volume is lower than it could be, and there is a little more sound leakage. Also when doing a sound comparison between my HyperX Cloud Revolver S and them I notice there was some distortion in the sound. Changing the pitch and tone slightly. I notice the change in vocals more than in instruments. I expected some distortion due to wave decay while passing through bone, but its a little more than I expected. I will probably keep them because the utility of listening to music without much sound leakage and being able to hear everything around me is awesome.
