First day I tried these while walking around the neighborhood. How refreshing to be able to hear and stay aware of my surroundings while still listening to my loud music. They fit comfortably, but do require some slight adjustments around my ears to get the best sound quality. They are very lightweight and don't feel uncomfortable like having earbuds in your ears for a long time. Also, I was able to make and receive phone calls too!

This thing works exactly how i want it to. I use it 12 hrs a day at work then wear around on the weekends. I basically use it for hands free talking. I do listen to some music while wearing. Fully charged at the beginning of the week i will have to charge only once later in the week. Maybe only took a couple hrs to charge back up. Very user friendly. While using head set you can hear whats going on around you because there’s nothing stuck in your ear. Has been wearing comfortably around the ears. Has great sound. Syncs easily. I have walked away from phone up to 60 ft before it lost its sync. Came back towards phone and it automatically synced back up at about 20 ft. I recommend this wireless headset.

I love these and use then everyday (if temps allow) when I take Pebbles out for her walks, I can hear the music and if I pull my head out of the music, the birds and wind, the rush of the canal and the little bit of traffic around me, I was really surprised at the sound. They are not a bass lovers (which I am) dream but the drums on Van Halen's Panama and my go to test of bass Blue Mans Group Above they were much better sounding than I would have ever thought, the benefit of being aware of my surroundings with great sounding music and the fact that they are not sticking in my ears is a huge plus, they stay it place very well with one big downside is they are hard to wear when wearing anything that covers your ears, I live in Idaho and it gets to cold to go out without ear protection so I use JBL's as both headphones and earmuffs

These headphones are worth every penny. Great quality of sound, light weight and flexible. The battery last for over 3 days using over two hours per day. The blue tooth does not affect your phone battery. I highly recommend this product!!

Love these headphones, good sound and bluetooth connects easily and battery holds up well. My ears are too tiny inside for even the extra small earbuds so I purchased these. I love using them when riding my bike since I like to also be able to hear what's around me. These are perfect for being aware and hearing your music or podcast at the same time. My only wish is they come in different sizes since the solid strap sticks out a bit in the back. But that only presents a problem in super cold weather when I have a stocking cap on. My head is small so instead of having the band around the back I can put it over the top of my head and the speakers still sit right outside my ears.

The AfterShokz - Air Wireless Bone Conducting Open-Ear Headphones were easy to set up, comfortable to wear, and the clarity is wonderful when speaking on the phone according to the other party. I like not having ear buds that sit in the ear canal, they never stay in, with these there is no worry about staying put. There is a vibration from the speaker on the head which is a little strange at first and it actually feels good once you are familiar with the feeling. It is great to be able to hear other noises when wearing them as well, keeps you from getting caught off guard by someone coming up behind or vehicles going by. The noise you can still hear does not interfere with hearing your music or when speaking with someone on the phone which I find fascinating!

I purchased these headphones in September 2018 to use for my first half marathon and ongoing training. These have been awesome to listen to music and audio books while I run outdoors. I feel much safer and more aware of my surroundings than my previous ‘in ear’ headphones. Game changer for running and cycling safety! I only use my in ears now at the gym. The challenge there is that the music they play overhead comes into your ear canal while this music comes in through you cheekbone. However, I could use their included AfterShokz earplugs to silence that piece, but since I already have a pair of Bluetooth in-ears, I just use those. Personal preference for me but if I didn’t have the extra pair, I could easily do that too. Cool that they thought that out and included them. Overall, these have been great for me and I’m couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend. Now here is what made me an AfterShokz fan for life. I had an issue with these headphones this week (which was entirely my fault btw). I reached out to their customer service, just to see how it went. I was planning to purchase a new pair anyway. Well, I quickly received a reply from their customer care team, they understood my situation, and went ABOVE AND BEYOND to take care of me. The warranty process was super simple and they exceeded my expectations.. by FAR! It was really a great experience and I would recommend this product and company to anyone.

My hubby picked these out for his bday. He says it's the best purchase he's ever made. They're lightweight, durable and the sound quality is great. He wears them all day at work, 8 plus hrs, and they dont need to be charged. Highly recommend!

Perfect for runners as they are bone conductivity headphones; they don’t go into the ear. You are able to listen to music and still hear around you!! They are comfortable and lightweight. Great battery life also, up to six hours.

These were my first bone induction headphones. I wore these headphones nearly everyday for the time I had them. Took a minute to get used to, but once you do? They're great. I just recently upgraded to the Aeropex (because I wanted to, new ones came in blue, not because these ones died, I geek out over new gadgets). I really l liked that I could wear these, hear my music (or call), and still hear enough of my surroundings. This is why I gave my original pair to my mother. Knowing she can listen to her music and still hear what's going on around her while she's on her walk gives me a bit of extra peace of mind. These headphones are really light and after a while you forget they are on your head. Great hands-free for the car as well! Sound quality is great but music purists will probably say they don't have full range or something. For playing through the bones in my head, the sound quality is really pretty great. While I'm exercising, do I really care if I am having an out of body experience listening to my jams? No. I'm dying on some elliptical machine. Great sound quality for a cheap-ish price tag! They come with earplugs if you want to tune out the world completely. I used them on flights. They aren't QUITE as good as actual noise canceling headphones but that isn't what they do, so there's that. I will say, I was impressed with the amount of noise they did eliminate during flight. Should I need to replace headphones again, I'll keep with bone induction style. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

Love the Trekz Air, but Failed after 6 Days

The AfterShokz Trekz Air headphone is fantastic! I am a runner and it allows me to hear sounds around me, such as traffic. If you are looking for a headphone that seals out exterior noise or want a noise canceling set, this one is not for you. However, if you recognize the safety aspect of hearing sounds around you when running, working out, or simply talking to someone else, then these will be perfect for you. My first pair failed after 6 days, so I exchanged them today for a new pair. I am hopeful that my experience with the failure is not going to be a common issue. I took good care of them prior to failure, including wiping them off after each workout. Just prior to failure, the equalization came on by itself, then a moment later, the sound went dead. I was not able to turn them back on or even get an LED to turn on when attempting to charge. I wonder if somehow the + and - volume buttons shorted out during the run. Pressing these two buttons simultaneously initiates the "Equalization Change". Since this happened on its own prior to failure, the two may have shorted out for some reason. It was not raining or anything like that when it happened, nor had the headphones been exposed to any rain since purchase. Anyway, I will keep you posted how my replacement set perform. I'm still a big fan at this stage, assuming there is not a manufacturer's defect .

Excellent headphones for use in public settings

I have been using these headphones for the last 2 weeks and they are excellent for public settings. Since your ears are uncovered, you are aware of your surroundings and are not blindsided. Tested the headphones walking on the street and using public transportation (the EL) and could hear my podcasts perfectly. Also used them for phone calls (mobile and Skype) and the voices are clear both inbound and outbound. You are sacrificing a bit of bass because you are not on the ear but not being on the ear actually makes the headphones much more comfortable, particularly if you have a large head like me, even with glasses on

I was a little skeptical at first about this earphones because they are different and don’t fit into your ear. I was worried that I would hear to much ambient noise or the sound quality would not be that great. I found out that this is not the case at all. Yes I can still hear what is going on around me but it does not distract from what I am playing. And the sound quality is great for a pair of working out earphones. I really like the fact that the don’t sit in my ears, meaning that they are quite comfortable and light weight. I was recommended these by a friend and would recommend to any other friends looking for a new set of headphones.

I bought these for work. They are very comfortable. More pricey then the titanium but worth the price. I first purchased the titanium and took them back cause they hurt behind my ears. These air are very comfortable & lightweight. Can’t tell I’m wearing them. I love them & the sound quality is great. The battery lasts more then 12 hours a day. Can’t say anything bad about this product. I also have hearing loss in my left ear, for some reason I am able to hear more sound in my left ear as if I have no hearing loss. These are worth it for that reason alone.

1st off - my background: a music producer in my past life & avid music enthusiast. I’ve always had expensive studio over ear headphones for accuracy & clarity. When on the go, at work, exercising bulky over ear is not practical. I’m sure many are aware, but for those who are not - ear buds/in ear headphones are not good as air mist be able to circulate in & out, especially while sound waves flow in & out. Ear buds trap air creating pressure pockets & then music pulses those pockets, creating damaging bursts of pressure on the ear. So, these are perfect for an alternative to bulky over ear. Reading some complaints about ambient noise or music levels I’ll add, with experience in production, album quality music is not mastered to be listened loud. 60-85 db is ideal. These headphones offer decent sound for the levels music was designed to be listened to. I was actually surprised as they sounded far better than I expected. There is ambient sound, but I haven’t experienced nearly as poor performance w/ ambient noise as others have rated & reviewed on. People often come talk to me while at work and I almost never hear what they’re saying without pausing the music, and that’s at 60% volume. I wonder if people are positioning them correct. Lol. Zero complaints as they are better than I expected and serve the exact purpose they are intended for.

I purchased these headphone for use around the house, primarily to avoid disturbing my wife while watching videos on the tablet. The battery life was better than I expected and they are very comfortable to wear. I have also found them very useful for walks and on bike rides, so I can remain aware of my surroundings. They also have a mic so they can be used as a bluetooth headset for your cell phone. The sound quality is pretty good. I can recommend these for most situations. The only situation that I found them to be lacking is on airplanes. Without noise canceling technology, these were almost impossible to hear over the drone of the jet engines.
