Interesting concept, nice results.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I HATE using in ear devices, and it gets pretty warm here for over the ear headphones part of the year. The AfterShokz OpenComm headset seems to be a great compromise for me. I had heard of these bone conducting headsets before and was excited to see how they worked. In many ways, they are better than I expected. The sound really does transfer very well through the bones, resulting in sound that is much louder in my head than it is to anyone else. There is a loss of some frequencies, probably just a limitation of the physics of transmitting sound this way. Because of this, listening to music is a little underwhelming, even compared to a very old set of over the ear headphones I had laying around. Regular audio from speaking over the headset is very clear and this is where the headset really shines. I was able to carry on conversations on the headset as well as with people around me without pulling the headset off or lifting one of the ear pieces. This is exactly what I was hoping for and is what makes these really worth using. When I need high quality sound, I can always slip on my over the ear Quiet Comfort headphones and enjoy uninterrupted music. All the rest of the time, these will fill the bill very well and I don't have to worry about anyone feeling ignored or needing to go out of their way to get my attention. The controls take a bit of practice, but I am finding they aren't hard to get used to at all and they seem to hold a charge for a good long time. I have only charged them overnight, so I am not sure how long they actually take to completely refill a charge, but they are very lightweight and seem to fit my head very well. The only problem with the fit is that they wrap around the back of the head, meaning they hit any headrest or pillow you might be leaning against. Not a big deal, again... the regular headphones are for when I am trying to "disconnect" from the world! Not so sure on the price, but these do fill a need very well.

Good idea but the technology is not quite there
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really wanted to like this headset but had to return it. The base is practically non-existent, highs are so-so, the sound becomes distorted at higher volumes. The idea is good but the technology is not quite there.

Lightweight Bluetooth Headset
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The design of this headset is unlike anything I have used before. They come packaged in a nice hard carrying case which is a bonus. I do think the case is a little large than it needs to be but it is a nice addition none the less. I have been using this headset mostly during work conference calls. The boom microphone is a great addition that insures the best microphone quality. Another aspect of the design is that they are very lightweight, comfortable and can be worn all day without any issues. The only flaw that I have found is because they use bone conduction for sound, the overall sound quality is not the best. Most of the calls I have used it on I have not noticed any problems but when it comes to music or videos I did not prefer using this headset. Overall, I would recommend this headset for anyone looking to use it for conference calling or something where you will be using the microphone. If you are looking for high quality sound i would not recommend this headset.

Annoying Headset!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you wear a headset all day for work, these can get very annoying. They buzz constantly because of the bone conduction. Also, they can be heard by people around you. They also do not work well qith MS Teams or Zoom.

So Comfortable You Might Forget You're Wearing It
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been on the hunt for the perfect daily headset for some time as I have been working remotely for five years now. I have tried my Airpods Pro, which has a terrible short battery life and seems to push their way out of my ears at some point as well as gaming options which were big and too uncomfortable for eightish hours of use. This one though has an amazing battery life that usually takes a couple of days before it gets low and also sits just outside of your eardrum in a comfortable position. My only real gripe is the lack of adjustability. I am a petite person and this leaves a 2 inch or so gap around the back of my head, which isn't so much an issue but can be cumbersome as a woman with a full head of long hair. Aside from that, this headset has a really nice case and is easy to travel with, while also having a nice range. While this headset isn't the least expensive of options, it is still my top and most suggested to date, so definitely check it out if you're on the market for an all-day wearing option.

Very impressive!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A few positives right off the bat: All day battery life even with a heavy day of Teams meetings No sweaty ears Awesome noise cancellation Easy Bluetooth pairing (for your first device at least) My nitpicks: Makes my cheeks rattle if i listen to music (or talk to baritone friends) Not immediately clear how to pair multiple devices (say computer and phone) which was essential to me Even with all of the above i feel like I have to say this is one of the BEST Bluetooth devices I’ve ever used for voice calls. Bone conduction has come a really long way and I couldn’t be happier with this device. Make sure you look at the directions online as multipoint pairing instructions are found in a video.

Charge doesn’t last long

Not an adjustable fit
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not an adjustable fit. It's "one size fits all" when we definitely do not all have the same sized head/ears. Bulk behind the ear loops pushes my ears outward. Check vibration is too much for long term use for me. Sound quality was very "distant" and like I was in a tunnel. I like the concept but it needs work. Will be returning

Work from home accessory
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use the Aftershokz when I run outdoors, so why not when I work indoors? With the work from home alternative, I was using another brand that fit over the ears. After long conference calls, my ears would be hot and sweaty. They broke and I got these Benefits - work all day long on a single charge - connection is seamless - I can still hear the house and family and not totally isolated - my ears are cool and comfortable at the end of the day - you are not tethered by a cord Downside - be aware of the mute button (not on the headphones) and take them off if you are unsure if you are muted
