You can't tell it from the cover, but this is a foreign (Chinese) film. Bruce Willis speaks english of course, but the mostly Chinese cast has english dubbed over their Chinese and it's very unnatural sounding. Almost like watching a movie where the audio is way out of sync with the video. After 30 minutes I had to turn it off. I would probably have preferred hearing the Chinese voices with closed captioning. I may have given it a slightly higher rating if I had finished watching it, but I couldn't force myself to continue. Very disappointed since most of Bruce's movies are pretty good.

Bruce Willis leads a band of Chinese aviators fighting the Japanese who are bombing their city. They are outgunned and outmatched but bravely fight on. Long on drama, short on action.

The English dub is horrible and would of been better if they left it in Chinese with subtitles. if your looking for a WWII action film is not a bad watch.

It's a war movie, so lots of airplane fights and bombings. There are some Interesting characters and some humorous moments too.

I am a Veteran and I love military movies. This was a average good movie but I wish it had more combat action.

This what now what I expected. Most of it was in Chinese and you had to read the sub titles.

This early World War Two movie is about US advisors assisting the Chinese Air Force against the Japanese. You had to already know this history before seeing the movie. Bruce Willis spoke in English but over animated his acting for this weak storyline. I would not watch it again. The Chinese actors acted their parts well.

This movie was okay. The wife and I had a hard time trying to watch it.

The story cool but the special effects are not very good.

Lot of action. However, my disappoint was that the movie is dubbed. I personally think it would've been better if it had been a foreign film instead and just have bruce willis and a few other actors voices dubbed. Great sound and picture quality.

I purchased this video because The Synopsis seemed interesting. BIG Mistake. Willis only plays maybe 10 minutes of The Movie. The Movie is Mostly of The Chinese characters and dubbed in English. I'd rather watch a Original Godzilla Movie.

this isnt a bad movie but its not a great movie its a semi historical depiction of events that mix an adventure movie with the likes of the flying tigers its more a ground based movie than fighter movie

The only reason I am give this film 2 stars is because of the special effects. The film is not so good otherwise. Huge Chinese propaganda film. Why Bruce Willis did it is beyond me.

The air battle graphics in this movie were great but I feel that the plot was weak.Although the Japanese were ruthless, I may think that the portrayal of them was over the top.

Here's a Bruce Willis role that's a bit different , he's not a rebel for once. It's an entertaining movie and worth watching or owning.

This is a good movie that showcases Bruce Willis chomping down on a cigar while he leads a squadron of single-engine fighters toward the enemy in the sky. If nothing else, there is that. The actual film itself is not so much of a problem . . . IF you lower your expectations a bit and enjoy watching CGI aerial dogfights and the weak-looking destruction that follows such computer generated conflict.

Built on real WW II history. Shows the brutality of war, bombings etc, but also the resilience of human will and power.
