I picked this game up as a spur of the moment thing since it was cheap and the ratings were exceptionally high. I was not disappointed! It is an intense psychological thriller. The only flaw I have issues with is the camera angles get a little odd at times but it's an overall great game.

I would suggest this game to anyone that like suspense type movies, and who like the idea of walking in the woods late at night.

This is a fun 3rd person game that keeps you on the edge of your seat. I was a little skeptical at first but was very pleasantly surprised. The game play is intuitive and I can't wait to dive into some more hours.

When I first Played Alan Wake I was skeptical about how fun the entire game was going to be. However the entertaining story, decently fun, slightly scary, and thrilling game play made the over all experience very refreshing. The game makes you feel as if you are part of a story in a book. (Which is part of the Story Line) Even though the game play itself is quite repetitive it will keep you on your toes. Enemy's popping out startled me quite a few times and kept the blood pumping throughout the game. There are plenty of objects to find and posters / Manuscripts to read scattered throughout the maps which will keep you entertained in a different way. The Story is very good. It will keep you wondering what is going to happen next. Which for me kept me playing a couple more hours then I normally would for other games. The Characters in the game are also very entertaining. nothing at all felt unrealistic about them, great voice acting, and strong personalities. Overall I would give the game a 9/10. Well the game doesn't have much of any replay value it is still well worth getting considering the price. Depending on how you play the game it will take anywhere from 12-18 hours to beat. The entire game experience as a whole ties together well. You will leave this game feeling like you just read a good book, or watched a great movie.
