I found the movie entertaining and I think Tyler Perry did a great job. Is it the best movie in the world? No. But I think that people are being extremely critical. I think it is being rated unfairly and it deserves a chance. I liked the story. Quite honesty, most movies are predictable. It is rare to find a movie that is creative, good acting, amazing story line etc. If the way this movie is being rated was the same judgment scale of some of these other box office films, the 4.8 would be much higher. I think people are judging Tyler Perry by his other film and plays versus by the movie that is actually being reviewed. I thought he did a great job in the movie and I believe it is worth seeing. I enjoyed it and I think a lot of viewers did too. Unfortunately, everyone acts like they are a movie critic and only wants the same people doing movies.

I found this to be the best of the Alex Cross movies so far. Morgan Freeman is an exceptional actor but was too old to be cast as Alex Cross. Tyler Perry is a good casting choice and he did a splendid job with the role. This is the Alex Cross I had in my head when reading the books.

Tyler Perry as Alex Cross, is a convincing a homicide detective/psychologist in Detroit who must track down a serial killer. This is a high-stakes game of cat and mouse that is both terrifying and personal. This thriller will challenge your ethical/psychological boundaries!

Watching all the previous Alex Cross movies, the professor type persona of Morgan Freeman is a tough act to follow. But, after watching six seasons of Lost with Matthew Fox as a good guy, his role as the villain in this movie is outstanding!

I read all James Patterson's books so I thought I would absolutely love this movie. I did and I didn't. There was not enough background information about Alex Cross (which makes his character so interesting) , Tyler Perry's acting was excellent.

Admitttedly it was hard at first watching the movie because Morgan Freeman has played Alex Cross in the past, but The movie was very good. It was showing Tyler Perry in a different way. I would like to see him more in this series.

The story line and subplots bring the story to life to include the human nature of each character's struggle with their inner feelings and maintaining an objective outlook in order to solve the crimes. It would not mr a difference if the book is read before or after. Reading the book will only enhance the the movie experience.

This is a really good movie about what happens when someone takes away a mans family. I was really please with the emotions and action in this movie and found it to be a great thriller.

I didn't expect the sad and sick twists and turns... nor the depth of the actors' performances... Not your usual buddy cop action movie... Well worth watching.

It is good to see Tyler Perry play other roles. He definitely shows that he has a better range of emotions than playing Madea. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Great movie if you are a fan of the Alex Cross series by James Patterson. They do mess with the plot a bit and characters a bit, but good action thriller.

Good movie based on great book. A lot of action, of course. The actor did a superb job being Alex Cross, which if you read the books took effort.

It was different . But we where able to connect to this new character he his playing. Plot was good action was good. Would have liked more suspense but change of character is good twist that is one of the many reason we wanted to see the movie.

Alex Cross the movie, was astoundingly outstanding. Much better than any of his movies where he plays Mama. Lots of action in the beginning, middle and end. The good guy got beat up[, but still managed to get the criminal.

The film and the actors were good. As a reader of the Alex Cross novels, I struggled with accepting Tyler Perry as a young Alex Cross.

Tyler Perry did well playing Alex Cross. He didn't disappoint taking over the role.

I purchased this because I love this book series. I was a little disappointed, but I got it on sale so that helps.

This movie will keep you on the edge of your seat for a while. Well worth it, especially at the very low price.
