Prometheus was 3 steps backward... and Covenant was 1 1/2 steps back towards the right direction.. just doesn't make it... not a bad film... but just not great like the first 4... directors cuts of Alien vs. Predator films are just looking better compared to these.... Sigourney Weaver Kenobi could be the last hope for this alien saga turned astray... she needs to firmly step up and ac-cert herself into a strong Directorial-Acting-Producing position of strength... (I'm sure she wouldn't ignore better writers either) at this point I can't imagine anyone else who could restore and preserve the Dark and Horrifying Alien realm.. Her Character made first 4 Aliens that made her an Icon. Ridley needs her to make it right and to stay on the right track. Just a thought in an age where no one listens to the sounds emanating from deep space... getting closer... closer....cccc......

I didn't catch it in theaters so I bought this exclusive 4K/Bluray/Digital Steelbook and first off I love the packaging. The movie was great and tied in nicely with Prometheus. Great horror monster sci-fi movie. Also the special features are a must to continue the movie experience and dives deeper into the story line with added footage. I saw it on Bluray but when I get a 4K tv with HDR Im watching it again.

I saw the first alien on TV the first time when I was a kid and I saw this one in the theaters I loved it it reminded me of the original had a great story the actors we're good you believed it was real two thumbs up way up

The steelbook looks great and I love the art. Although it's not the greatest Alien movie out there, it's still really fun to watch, especially with friends.

No better way to enjoy this movie but in 4K. The steelbook packaging is a plus.

This is a solid film with commendable audio and video on blu-ray disc. I only buy when there is value added content and there are ample special features included to complement the film. A commentary by Ridley Scott never disappoints. This, along with other behind the scenes supplements, augment the film.

I expected a lot more from this as a followup to the great Prometheus, a film I've watched and enjoyed the most since 2012. Cheats its way out of continuing the story of David and Elizabeth Shaw with a bit of a time jump where Shaw is long dead and David goes full psychopath. Where Prometheus had some wonder and exploration this is full brutality from start to finish, and not in a fun way. Very bleak ending to what seemed like a promising new Prometheus trilogy going to new worlds and getting new revelations.

The movie everyone cried for but when they got it wanted it to be more like Prometheus. You literally can't please anyone. I liked it quite a bit. Massive Alien fan so I'll love anything you give me. Plus it may be the last time we get a R rated Alien film with brutal violence. You know since Disney owns the property now. Still can't believe that. The 4K is quite exceptional I might add. The darks are nice black and the rest of the film is nice and crisp. Audio could've been a tad better but for my situation it's fine. Audiophiles might complain. If you're a massive fan of Promestheus you'll be disappointed and if you weren't you should be happy.

Prometheus started the origin story for the Alien franchise, and Covenant expanded nicely on that. Definitely watch Prometheus before you want Covenant! The 4K Ultra Blu-ray is just a fantastic medium for watching movies if you have the proper setup. SO much better than the theatre. People can say all they want about physical media dying off, but streaming doesn't compare to this, at least not yet.

It is good movie and I like it but it does not surpass the first 3 from Alien series. It's part of prequel and many guessed how the story will go. The Prometeus and this one go together but feel a little disconnected at times and confusing. The end of this movie hints that story will continue. While not my favorite from all series it is good enough and I like to re-watch it from time to time.

If you're a fan of the Aleins Universe and of the new sequels, you will like this and 4K UHD is as good as you can possibly watch and listen to them at home today. If you're not a fan, this movie won't sway you, no matter how good it looks or sounds. It's not exactly a "joy, joy, happy, happy" film but Ridley Scott can make some amazing-looking films, including this one.

A very underrated movie in the Alien franchise of sorts. Good suspense and creepiness. Beginning has no purpose with James Franco. Rest of cast are very competent in their respective roles. Danny McBride was outstanding with his performance. Cinematography is very good, as is the audio. Do watch this movie more than once. Well worth your time!

This is an underrated film that's very thought provoking. Probably the majority of film goers these days don't like challenging movies that require them to dig below the surface. They don't want to have to think and work too hard while watching a film. Also enjoyed the special features, especially Phobos, Advent and Master Class.

Got this as one of my first 4K Uktra HD Blu Ray titles after purchasing a Samsung 4K UBD-M9700 blu ray player and was impressed with the increased clarity of the picture and sound over the standard blu ray release. The depth of color and deep blacks are the first things you will notice and appreciate. Highly recommended reference quality disc.

I really loved the first two aliens movies from back in the days and when the two new prequels came out to explain how the aliens came to be I was super excited. I loved the first prequel very cerebral compared to this one which seems to have gone more in an action direction. It's still a pretty good movie. It has very nice visuals and sound.

Rating is for the product, not necessarily the movie. The movie is good in my opinion, but I'm only rating the product quality for this. It comes in your standard blu-ray packaging along with a digital copy. The movie looks great on a High def TV and if you like the Alien movies, then this is a good entry into the franchise.
