This is my first true gaming laptop and I am extremely happy with the performance so far. Every game I tried runs over 60fps in ultra settings. I think because I bought an open box item my laptop is running slower ( it was a demo product). Oh and the warranty is not 1 year as promised , only around 7 month with Dell... Other than that, if you have money to buy it new it is awesome

This was my first Alien purchase I've been reading about them for years. Best thing I can say is I should've bought one long . I play alot of games from old to new it handles them all no problem. Only drawback for me is no blue ray or DVD player. This easily handled by purchasing external player. With upgrade options for future needs you cannot go wrong for the money.

I am a huge console player (Xbox One), so I needed something that I am going to be able to game with on the go, while I attend the University of Colorado Boulder this upcoming Fall. I have read many articles and I have seen many YouTube videos regarding this laptop, and without a doubt after purchasing this laptop, it truly is the best!

Absolutely love this pc. It has brought my gaming to a whole other level. Graphics are awesome!! Like make you drool awesome lol. The only negative thing that I have to say is that the space bar is a bit far to the right for thumb access while gaming. If you have small hands this might be an issue. Other than that. Absolutely love it

This laptop is awesome . We bought it for our son . He is a 4th year Engineering student in college . This laptop helps him with all his math classes and he also enjoys playing video games on it . It is a " gaming " laptop but it's also been great for his school work. It is a little heavy but still the best choice .Great purchase .

Play world of Warcraft nice size screen, great graphics

I got this gaming computer as Christmas gift for my teenage son. He uses it for homework and is able to play his favorite video games online with great sound and video. My son is definitely pleased with it.

Runs anything I throw at it no issue and is well made.

Had a bad motherboard within the 2nd month, I had to contact Dell for them to send a tech (much better than shipping it off at a bestbuy store) to my house to only find out they had the factory of Bestbuy as an address on File...(OH) Device is still not fixed since Dell took over a month to resolve this issue. I wish Bestbuy could test motherboards before receiving products from warehouses

Awesome! Powerful! Not very quiet, but it's normal. Running BF 1 without any problems.

This laptop will hold up to the test of time as quickly as laptops become powerful over the next few months. Great build quality and not a bunch of bloatware. Those looking for a compact laptop need not look here. Gaming laptops have gaming components and you won't find a powerful system in a small package

I originally got an open box version but noticed odd hesitations when background programs began or closed. The mouse would stop moving for a couple seconds, etc... After some additional issues, I returned it and bought my brand spanking new laptop. It STILL has the hesitations and two IT guys can't figure it out. ARGH!! Now for the good stuff: Games like BF1 run in ultra and look great. I tend to play at high for better framerates. It does get warm, but nothing like my MSI stealth with the 980 in it. Get a basic cooling pad and you can game for marathon sessions without a hiccup or the fans getting loud. I wish I'd gone for the better reams 1440 or even the 4k. At the time, the pricing made the out of reach, but with the new processor models about to drop, I could've gotten a 1440 for the same price or the 4k for a little more. Last point...this thing is a beast. I've had 2 Asus rog 17" models and this thing seems heavier. Check out the strix if you want to go thin, or the new msi 17. I won't be returning this one, but I'd look into other models now that the prices have dropped.

This is an excellent machine. The specs are great although 128gb ssd is a bit small, the 1TB 7200rpm drive gives you plenty of auxiliary storage for games. Everything looks and works great on this. Runs things perfectly fine on ultra/high. Keyboard is the cheapest thing on this laptop. I wish they would have invested more in the keyboard. Overall though, a very good machine for $1600

If you are buying alienware, you know what to expect, and this has met my expectations. The gaming is amazing, fps is great, and unit is very quiet. My only issues are: touchpad and its buttons aren't that great (not an issue since I have a mouse), and the screen is not a true 17 inches.

Needed a computer with lots of memory and a specific graphic card for CAD drawings and video presentations. Out of the box, this computer was plug and play easy. I would recommend buying a wireless mouse and an alienware backpack or briefcase if your going to take it with you!

I bought this over a month ago. Have had countless hrs of DELL support trying to fix internet connections issues. plays any game on ultra and even GOW4 on my 4k tv in 4k at over 30 fps. its big and heavy but only has 2 usb inputs. nice customization options too with the lights.
