I was between ASUS ROG and AlienWare, my previous gaming laptop was an Asus Rogh G751, with the gtx980m, and it was a very good computer, but was extremly huge and heavy, and then i test drive the alienware.... First of all, is not heavy at all (compared with other gaming laptops), and its dimensions are smaller than asus even it has a 17.3" screen, wich its beautiful. The gtx 1070 performs awesome. I play fallout4, skyrim, beamng drive, gtaV, all on ultra with zero drama, its quiet, and the led lighting its beautiful. The only downside its that 1tb is not enough, i have over 100 titles from steam, and a lots of pictures, 2 days after my purchase i had 100gb left, im going to get a 8tb external drive for all my games.

This laptop was easy to setup and get going. I don't use it for gaming, I use it to drive my cad software. No problems yet, 3d rendering doesn't even flinch. Only con would be it's weight, pack it around for awhile and it will stretch your arm.

Playing all early 2017 games on Ultra Detail. Fast SSD about 10 seconds to boot cpu from off to desktop. You can add in Desktop GPU later on when performance slows down to new graphics engines. Upgradable to 32 gigs of ram. Great laptop.

It has everything you want in a gaming system realistically and even aesthetically for some. Although the weight in your backpack is nearly unbearable. I also had to buy a much larger backpack to fit. I’ll probably go down to the 15” pretty soon

I typically build my own desktop computers. I'm so busy with work these days that I took a chance on a powerful laptop. Not disappointed! It has the horsepower I need for gaming and the (hefty) portability I required for university and work.

Its a good laptop, though on the heavy side. It can run any game of 2016/ 2017 with ultra settings. My unit had memory issues - it kept crashing with even one program open, but it ran when it ran.

I already have a Gamer Desktop but always wanted a portable version of what I built. I was very skeptical of this Alienware laptop but it is a beast!!! My wife complains that it is heavy but I like that as it keeps her from using it!!!

At first it was like a dream wonderful graphics and anything I could want. Machine got a tad hot while playing but nothing major until 4 days after my purchase a speaker blew.... Took it back

My old laptop was crashing daily when gaming and could only have minimum settings, this laptop can handle everything so far that I've tried.

I currently have no issues with this laptop. It plays every game I have on max settings with no drop in performance. The light up keyboard is great for playing in the dark when my wife is playing on the tv. Worth every penny.

Does everything very well. Wish it had more USB 3.0 ports, the Thunderbolt port and such are great, but I dont really need that, I should have looked closer. Also, no optical drive, but this is minor as I dont really use one anymore.

Everything is great, the only problem is that the laptop works best if its plugged in power. The laptop is bulky overall, but we all knew that, didn't we? Great performance while playing, I'd buy this again / recommend it.

This gaming laptop is awesome. I recommend it if you are doing some heavy gaming and it has no bloat ware. Two issues, it's heavy which I could live with and two it's super big does not fit in any backpack or laptop bag.

Laptop performs great. The only issue I have is the display bezel appears to be too tight and causing light patches in the screen itself. This is my second laptop after returning it for this reason but it's actually worse.

Got this laptop for 1219$. I can not complain. Great FX lighting controls and play all my games in ULTRA SETTINGS!! Tobi eye tracking is a plus never used it before but its bundled in and works great.

Was very surprised when I saw the price of these laptops. I've liked "Dell" and "Allienware" products because they are usually light on bloatware (unlike other manufacturers such as HP...). The GPU (Nvidia, which I like) and other features, pricing, etc will allow these to last quite a few years I think. The only thing we (daughters and I) had to do was stop most of the "eye recognition" software because it kept putting the unit to sleep after just a very short wait. We tried changing settings, but decided it would be better to just terminate those programs because we would not be in a setting where that much privacy was warranted. Once we did that, we were good to go!!

I am still getting use to the Windows 10 but have found very helpful things about it. Very satisfied with the computer. I would recommend it to any of my friends looking for a new computer.

This machine is both powerful and fast. My only complaints are that it did not include a written manual about the extra features and keys, so you will have to experiment for yourself. Also, I feel that the computer should have come with a coupon for a real gaming mouse. The trackpad is good, but for many gamers, using a trackpad will feel unnatural. I had to buy a blue tooth mouse. Overall, however, it really is a great computer. I love it.

This laptop is the best computer I've ever had for gaming
