I had my doubts but no longer this small package delivers a big punch awesome gaming computer for the price.

For the price. It is the best gaming computer. And it is an Alienware.

This alienware alpha really have a good performance with the affordable price. The machine comes with custom NVIDIA GTX 860M with 2GB vram. The i3 dekstop processor is good enough for playing last year game titles with high setting and some ultra. Small form factor and lightweight without sacrificing in-game performance are really the strong point for this model. This machine comes with windows 8.1, and alienware alpha ui. Accessories are one wireless xbox 360 controller and hdmi cable. This small box is great if you are planning to hook the hdmi to tv all the time. However, the limitation of one hdmi port and no audio jack really limit the monitor choices. The really option is to find a desktop monitor with integrated speaker, which can be costly. There is one annoying bug that make the xbox controller act as mouse in-game situation. It is their intention to make xbox controller act as mouse to make navigation easier in windows 8.1, but this bug ruin the in-game experience. When I log in to my steam account, alienware alpha gives away free games such as Metro the last light, and some indie games. I read somewhere this happen because dell want to reward the early adopter of this machine, which this occurred to me on last May. I am not sure whether free games still available now. I take one star because of the wireless controller bug, and limitation of audio jack (and probably vga) port. I hope they fix the xbox controller bug soon. Overall I think it is a good lightweight and small form factor machine with great graphic performance at affordable price, but comes with annoying xbox controller bug.

Having a steam device added to my living room TV is very conveient. Having a full function windows 8.1 PC conceded to the TV has been tremendous.

Do research. Read the reviews. Then take everything with a grain of salt. This is by far the best option for living room PC gaming on a budget. I was very surprised at how well the system performed. I'm glad I only bought the base model. How many people ever say that?. The out of box experience was slightly less than stellar. It was very easy to setup, but like any Windows PC, first time booting up expect to wait an hour or more for it to do updates. It wasn't until the second day that the system was fully ready to play. Keep this in mind when you get this home. It's not really plug and play. It's plug in, wait for updates, install your games, wait for those games to install, then play. The time wait could be a while. As for hardware, I definitely give this a 5/5 rating. Ignore the naysayers that say they can build a better gaming PC for less. Toss in a wireless $40 controller! Seriously, the base model is quite impressive. The i3 and 4Gb RAM is more than sufficient for most games today. The memory is an easy upgrade. For $100, you can jump to 16Gb. However, if upgrades are a thought, I'd consider upgrading the HD to an SSD. The system can be a little sluggish due to hard drive. An SSD upgrade will make all the difference in the world. User experience is about 4/5. The UI is much better than I thought it would be. The Kodi gaming interface along with the Steam big picture interface really looks slick. Navigating is a breeze using the controller. I give game play experience a 3.5/5 rating. For PC gaming, it's a 5/5 experience! But as a console gaming experience, it's still lacking. This is where you take a grain of salt. It's really hard to compare Steam machines to consoles at this time. The only way you can evenly compare such systems is to look at controller based games. In such a comparison, consoles will win. However, I will admit the few Steam games that do fully support controllers are simply amazing. Where Steam machines destroy the console competition is PC gaming. If only interested in console gaming, then don't buy a PC. This is a PC that plays games. It plays games very well. Amazingly well! But it's a PC. Keep that in mind when you think of the type of games you want to play. Even when this system eventually gets updated to SteamOS, it'll still be a PC. The controller based games really are the heart of what living room gaming is. Overall, this system is simply amazing for the price.

This product does everything it promises. A little pricy but looks and feels great.

I have been very satisfied with this device. It easily provides a great gaming experience for all the games I play.

The product takes a little setting and downloading but once up and running it has great uses. the only problem might of been the first one we got was broken and had to return it

While the concept works, the system was a little glitchy. On 2 occasions it powered down unexpectedly. Graphics were decent.

Good for people just getting into PC gaming, being able to pick between desktop and custom UI that is game centered is nice although improvements could be made.

It's amazing like a computer but also a console both in one! Can have many many games cheap on the stream built in the computer no disks less expensive really fun
