Great laptop so far, have had it for a few months now and this is what I have to say about it
The Good:
Great build/design/sturdy, 85 watt GPU, upgradeable storage, super thin/portable, decent battery life (doing basic stuff), USB C charging, fantastic 16:10 165hz 2K display, port selection is good, great keyboard and mouse, good air flow and it has Facial recognition
The bad:
Speakers need work/they sound crackly, soldiered ram is such an Apple move, trackpad is narrow, all ports are on the back, price is high for what you get
Conclusion:
As you can tell, this laptop has more pros than cons, but the cons are still worth considering. If you do buy this, make sure never to pay full price, instead of paying $1700.00 for this I paid $999.99 NEW, (basically $1000.00 lol) and for that price it's a no brainer! You get a good performing RTX 4050 (85 watt), upgradeable storage and something that's built well. The display is defiantly better than most IPS panels. The refresh rate, no backlight bleed, its bright, good resolution and it being a 16:10 makes it easily one the best! Battery life is good, getting me about 5 hours of doing the basics such as watching YouTube, Facebook, typing documents and reading. If you do anything more demanding maybe bring the charger lol. The airflow is superb! This has vents on the top of the keyboard deck, on the sides, bottom and back. Never had this overheat on me even in the most intense battles. Like honestly, if you're wanting a solid laptop to do it all I think this is it for most people! Play most games on med/high settings, take it to college, enjoy media off it or whatever else you do, this will do it well. Really the only thing this won't do is 4K gaming. I mean any RTX 4050/4060/4070 won't do 4K gaming too well. If that's what you need/want, then maybe look for a laptop with at least an RTX 3080/3090/4080/4090. Overall, this is a great machine and Im happy I bought it:)

A great product from alienware, I'm not a fan of 14-inch computers but this one suits my needs, I have several computers, so this alienware is one of the best among all the ones I own, the option to add more space to the one that comes from the factory is a great advantage since it can support 4tb of space, unfortunately the option to improve the ram memory is not an option since you would have to go for the next model since this one only has 16 on the mainboard, but apart from that since I have it here I can say that this computer is a great buy, since its keyboard is silent and of high quality, the chassis of the computer is one of the things that I love most about this computer since it is made of a metallic alloy with a great color, the little plastic present makes a great contrast in the computer, its portability and lightness makes it stand out from other gaming laptops, being able to charge it with the type C port and having support for other chargers of that input makes it easier to carry around travel, and the features in the Alienware software make it stand out quite a bit since you can customize many options from the RGB color to the built-in macro keys, to which I recommend this laptop for someone who is starting out in the world of gaming and wants a portable and high-quality laptop, since for the price of 1099.99 it was a great deal so it is worth the purchase.

fastest, most complete laptop i have ever used. this thing is a beast. once you unlock the full potential but installing a Samsung 990 4x4 4tb ssd, there is no stopping you. i can run all the games on the screen or plug it in to a monitor at home. never had an issue with alienware products plus a best buy coverage plan. this was a no brainer at $999.99

I absolutely love this laptop, the build quality is top notch, its super slim and although performance may not be earth shattering its very good considering the form factor. The screen is bright and sharp and the keyboard is a little cramped but once you get use to it its perfect. The fans are no louder than other gaming laptops. It is expensive but i got it on sale and at the sale price its a steal.

I was having a good period with this gaming laptop. Suddenly one day I heard some cracking noise coming from the laptop chasis (upper area at right side beside the keybaord). Every time you press or want to put up the laptop in one hand, it sounds like the chasis body is breaking actually.
It is frustrating that when you buy a laptop at $1100 and experience this kind of cheap issues.
Other than this, it is a good laptop, I was getting 5+ hours of battery in normal work without gaming or intense software use.

I got this laptop like 2 weeks ago and i had to return it for a few different things. Before that the laptop is really nice and sleek. It is definitely one of the slimest alienware that i have seen. But thats where the problem lies, i was worried that it would not cooldown my laptop well enough and 2 weeks into using it i decided to take a break and play a match on league and computer started getting hot and it just froze on me multiple times. I guess it was not getting cooldown enough. Decided to check up on the status of the performance of it and there was a few alienware systems that took up ram and obviously chrome and teams was taking quite a bit of ram since i use it for work. So if you were to get this laptop you should probaly get more ram but they dont offer it and this laptop has integrated ram so not upgradable. So before i wa susing for gaming it ran fine it just started to act up as soon as i decided to play.

I ordered this laptop recently. Not only did it arrive almost 3 days late, but it arrived defective. Half the keyboard didnt work. I ran all OS updates, Software updates, and firmware updates, and re-installed drivers. No success. I eventually booted into the Alienware hardware testing platform, turns out the laptop didnt even recognize the keys on a hardware level… i ended up returning this laptop and getting an ROG which actually had better specs and had 0 issues. Do better Dell, and do better BestBuy.
