Beautiful graphics, very fast, light weight, and just a beautiful computer. Only downside is that it can get too hot. I bought a fan for mine. I highly recommend doing the same.

I originally got an HP Omen 17 which was defective straight out of the box so I returned it and decided to pay a bit more for the Alienware and I’m glad I did! This thing looks and performs like a beast! I did have some issues with it at first with it crashing and rebooting itself when playing games, but after performing all the updates and optimizations using the Dell Assistant and configuring the Windows firewall exclusions the problem went away.

I was in the market for a laptop. I’m not much of a pc gamer but I bought it because I like the like it looked. After having it for a few months now I am glad I did. I’ve played couple of pc game and I can see why some people prefer pc or consoles. I’ve had no issues only thing I am not a fan is the keyboard. But I have it connected to monitor and purchase a gaming keyboard.

Worked great until it randomly shut off one day and wouldn't come back on after barely a months use ( I am not a heavy gamer)

I've been using an Alienware M17 R2 the last couple of years. It's a great gaming device but did have some shortcomings. In my opinion, this new X15 improves upon the M Series laptops and corrects some of the shortcomings that they had. The picture quality is better, the audio from the internal speakers has improved, and it is lighter and thinner. All in all, a very nice improvement. First of all, the good: The X15 is snappy fast. Games and apps load much faster than the old M17, and there is no lag whatsoever. My son and I play most of our games off of the Steam platform, and it didn't matter what game I loaded, the playing experience was fantastic. Games were easily played at max frame rates. The colors popped, the graphics were high quality, and the brightness of the screen was impressive. My son and I play a lot of Rocksmith, with two instruments connected and an HDMI out to an overhead projector. Even the slightest amount of lag or hang up while playing this game can be very frustrating, as it results in missed notes. Fortunately, the X15 has no issues whatsoever running the game. We also ran other games like Metro Exodus, Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, and Call of Duty: War Zone. The X15 handles these games with aplomb, even though at max frame rates, the fans ran like jet engines and we thought the laptop was going to take off and fly. But to be expected, considering how intensive the graphics can be for these games. The X15 is absolutely gorgeous, in my opinion. Light gray on the outside, with a midnight black interior. The keyboard has the cool Alienware FX, which can be set for just about any color you can think of and can do different effects. You can program the color of the power button and the alien head/lights that are on the outside of the cover. Indeed, the coolest looking laptop that I have in the house. Some of the cons: The X15 is thin and lightweight when compared to the previous M series, but that doesn't mean you can put it on your lap and run some games on it. The bottom of this thing gets hot and uncomfortable!. Even with the cooling profile set at max, the bottom of the laptop was too warm to leave on the lap, even when performing simple tasks. While the hand rest area and mousepad stayed pretty cool, the areas to either side of the keyboard got hot. Hot enough that it was uncomfortable to leave your fingers or hands near them. The keyboard was not great for typing on, either. I know the X15 is a gaming computer, but when you are spending over $2K on a laptop, you'd like it to be able to use it for more than just playing games. At least in my case, I feel like the keyboard on my Mac Book is much easier to type on. I'm currently in a doctoral program and we have to type a lot! After only a few minutes of typing, I could feel fatigue in my fingers. The internal speakers, while being better than the M Series ones, are still not that impressive. They do get loud and sound clear, but there is little bass or depth to them. I know most of us gamers would be more likely to use headphones when playing, but still it would be nice to have more depth to the sound of the internal speakers. All in all, I am pleased with the X15. It is lighter, thinner, faster, and more capable from a graphics standpoint than the previous M series Alienware laptops. A definite upgrade to them, although I do feel it may be a tad pricey compared to other gaming laptops.

Great laptop, seems to run everything I’ve tried to do. I’m a PC novice and this was a bit tricky to get all setup for me.
