It was great to see this foreign film original released to, and distributed by Netflix, get a physical media release on 4K. I watched it on Netflix and found it to be a powerful film. Would it be worth the upgrade to physical media? While the visuals probably didn't not see a huge jump, you do get high bitrate and an overall pleasing picture. Now, the audio is an upgrade if you have a nice system. If you're using a basic system, or for goodness sakes your TV speakers, then you may not perceive any difference. I still advocate for physical copies, and I am glad that should it disappear from streaming, I have the physical copy.

I highly recommend watching the German version with English subtitles. Not only is the audio quality better, but the authenticity of the film itself gives you a better representation of what the Germans had to go through in this horrendous war. As for the mediabook itself, the quality of it is excellent and the information inside the case is really interesting in explaining the huge task of creating this film. I’m so glad they’re releasing more netflix films on physical media and i hope to see more like this!

This yet another adaptation of an enduring anti-war literary and cinema classic, now in a german-language version, is worthy of its multi Oscar wins, including Best Foreign Language Film, js overall worthy of its acclaim. War films come and go, but every adaptation of this classic endures. This latest ALL QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT is an anti-war masterpiece that will endure forever.

Unlike any other war film, the acting, editing, and story draw you into the experience so that you feel close to the main character and sympathize with the complicated nature of war and human violence. Also, the Dolby Atmos track is a 10/10, and I have a new go-to demo scene for subwoofer testing.

Absolutely stunning picture quality! So glad they decided to do a physical release of this as it is definitely superior on a Sony OLED compared to streaming. Lots of dark scenes that really take advantage of the high contrast as well as amazing sound!

Aside from the amazing picture and sound quality (better than on Netflix!) you will be pleased with the packaging. It’s a book style packaging with some reading material.

It is shown in a perspective that isn't seen often in war films. This movie shows that war isn't entertaining. In my opinion, this is on the level of Saving Private Ryan and should be watched on the biggest screen you have.

Historic WW1 war movie remake but better than the first. It touches on patriotism, glory, duty to country, your leaders and conflicting values.One of the best movies I have ever seen.

Beautiful packaging for this must have 4K release. Picture quality is top notch, and if you don’t mind subtitles, watch in the native German language so you can get the fantastic Atmos experience.

Absolutely well done in every way except for the fact that it deviates very heavily from the book and misses many important moments from Remarque’s source material. Could’ve named it something else and it would’ve been an amazing stand-alone WWI film, but misses most of the memorable parts of the book. Because of the story’s scope, All Quiet On The Western Front deserves to be a miniseries like Band of Brothers or Chernobyl.

Great film from classic novel. Based during WWI, a group of young, impressionable young German students join German army. Quickly turns into a nightmare for the survivors.

Visual and auditory feast! Not to mention the film itself was so riveting! A must buy for a war film enthusiasts!

Picture is great on my 4K TV/4K Blu-Ray player and Denon 7.1 AVR. Great action and historical film.
