When I bought this game awhile back I thought it would be a great game---I was sooo wrong. What's wrong with this game you ask? For starters it acts like it wants to force you play in 3rd person all the time, the controls are a joke and don't get me started on aiming your guns although melee attacks seems to be more favoerible option in this game. The only good thing about this game is the graphics looks good as well as the music, as for gameplay goes--it's like a snail racing aginst a turtle and the turtle won. I don't even know if this a good game to rent or not. If you find this game I got one word for you---RUN AWAY!!!

I just got this game today it has amazing graphics and an interesting storyline. U play Edward who wakes up to a living nightmare going on right in the middle of ny's central park and ur goal in the game is to find out the mystery of the dead souls lurking in the park. One of the things i admire is that this is the first next gen game to feature a dvd style way of playing where u can skip chapters in the game if u cant complete a section making sure anybody can fully see evrything this game has to offer. Some control issues but if u are a fan of survival horror u will enjoy this game alot and overlook some of the control problems. Either or the opening sequence is one of the best opening scenes i have seen in a next gen game.

first let me start by saying this had the pottential to be a great game! the physics looked awsome and the inventory and healing system were revolutinary! but then they dropped the ball......the gameplay and movement features made the game un playable!! many of my deaths were a result of poor mechanics and targeting.....at least i did not purchase this abbomination....was still a waste of time and 8 dollars

I was looking forward to this game coming out, and I loved it. The story has keep me going since I started playing it. I was very skeptical about the fast-forward and rewind feature but the games difficulty was increased to where I felt compelled to use it once or twice. The graphics were very well incorporated , but there were a couple instances were your character would blend in to the wall slightly. No big deal for me but some people get upset about that. The replay value is great because you can get through parts of the game differently, and the story will grip you to the end. My favorite part is that when you start your game back up, it gives you a recap of what has happened the last time you played like a TV show. Sweet!

this is a game that you really don't want to get. at first, i agree, it looked pretty cool, but it is really bad. first, i really hate the graphics. they don't look good or better than any other game at all. second, i don't think there are much mosters at all. i'd say the're pretty cool but they don't quite show up. but one good thing is that there are some different gameplays. theres climbing across a roof with obsacles, driving, and a few more stuff. another good thing is combinig items like real world stuff. so, there are some good stuff, but a total more bad stuff that i haven;t mentioned. so you shouldn't even get this game unless you really, really want it.

Alone in the Dark pretty much sums it up.

The game was an ok buy. I think the graphics, the challenges, and the chapter layout feature more than make up for the gameplay and controls. Like every game it has its ups and downs, but if like this genre of game then it is a good addition to it.
