    These speakers provide great clarity and far exceed the limits of the factory Ford oem speakers. I am very impressed and glad I upgraded my vehicle with them. The price was awesome and to get Alpine quality at this price blows me away!

    After only one month of use, when the sound is turned up there is starting to be a vibration coming from the speakers. We were assured this wouldn't happen with normal use, which is all they have had.

    My 2002 Ford Ranger was seriously lacking in the sound department. I had some Pioneers in the doors, and Kicker CS68s behind the seat, hooked up to a Pioneer 50W deck, all from the previous owner. To be direct, every type of music...metal, hip hop, electronic, country, alternative...it sounded nasty, like someone was projectile vomiting into a flaming barrel of dog feces. The Kickers were floppy and didn't deliver any clarity, meanwhile the Pioneer speakers tried to reproduce sound accurately, and failed miserably. On Saturday, August 22nd, I decided to bite the bullet (and drop the $$) and get 4 SPS-517s and an Alpine 143BT deck. Rick at the Sandy, UT Best Buy did the install, which was done very quickly and he was extremely friendly and professional. He walked me through all the new features of my stereo and explained all the technical details I needed to know in the (unlikely) case something were to malfunction. Sound-wise: Night and day difference! High notes sing with crystal clarity, midrange notes sound full, and bass is nice, tight and articulate. My side mirrors vibrate when I have a song with deep bass, and without the volume cranked. To be honest, I've not had much experience with car stereo, but now I understand why Eazy E's friend JD was caught in his car trying to steal his Alpine. It sounds THAT good. I would definitely recommend these speakers for anyone looking for an upgrade, and I 100% trust Best Buy's handiwork for installation and unbeatable pricing.
