After researching and comparing amplifiers and a sub that I was in the market for, I decided on this amp and paired it with an Alpine Type R 10 inch sub w/1000 watt RMS/3000 watt Peak Power. The amp is rated at 1200 RMS @ 2ohm or a 4ohm load and has a CEA certified output of the factory rated power, which is way more than whats on the box. So not only is the power output listed on the box the actual numbers the amp is rated at, but the birth certificate numbers surpass the rating. My amp tested at 1275 watts RMS from the factory into a 4 ohm load . Knowing my amp is powering my sub where it likes to be, is not only good but the amp and speaker combo sounds good too. I've ordered the RUX Knob that'll allow me to adjust the bass according to which music I'm playing at the driver seat. Where I've mounted my amp, will make these adjustments a lot easier! I really appreciate the style and the look of this amp also, its very compact, yet packs a lot of juice to power anything capable of yielding its power . I'm very happy with it, that I'm going to purchase a second amp and another 10 inch Type R sub for more ground shaking bass. Granted one is enough, but I got that bass bug again after being out of the bass game for about 8 years. You can't go wrong with this quality made product and this great sounding music brand. Alpine or nothing!! I also need to mention that I added this in conjunction with my car's Harman Kardon system. There's already an 8 inch sub, but its only capable of handling 50watts RMS, not to mention it sounds good, but I wanted more, so got what I wanted, awesome bass with great looks on the amp and the sub. I would definitely recommend this amp for your powering needs.
