Before I tell you about the tweets, a shout out to the car audio team at the Best Buy in Columbus, IN. They did good work and were very easy to work with. Now...Unless you are getting a new amp with your new tweeter install, your new Alpine S Series 1" tweeters are going to give you treble similar to nails on a chalkboard when you first listen to these out of the box. Just count on it. They supply all the high-end you need and they will overpower your door speakers unless you adjust your EQ settings. (in my case, the doors were kicker cs series.) I usually enjoy an EQ setting that is a little accentuated in the highs and the same on the lows. But with these little banshees, my EQ is currently sloped from 5 points hot (decibels) on the left end of the baseline, and down to 1 point below baseline on the highest highs. (EQ line is high to low from left to right.) Part of the problem is that the door speakers I had installed are still breaking in, and just ever so slowly they are gathering bass as they roll to their permanent sound. Now that I've created this cascade-pattern in the EQ, everything sounds brilliant. The crispy highs that shimmer at the end of the cymbal strike or reveal the breath of the vocalist...you get all that with these tweeters. Just get ready to dial them way back until you've had time to get them reigned in. Otherwise, sibilance will come attack you like a flock of cicadas. Now, I've only had them for a day. But based on past experience, I expect they will chill and also blend as they (and the door speakers) calm down and fill-out. I've only got about 3 hours on them so far.

I had a Kenwood Double Din Head Unit, a Kicker 4 Channel Amp, a Kicker Sub Amp, and 4 JBL 6x9 Triaxles in a 2005 Dodge Magnum. It sounded great but was missing the high end sounds that I so crave. John at Best Buy Car Installation recommended these tweeters and so an hour later they were installed. Wow! What a difference, Just what the system needed to bring it over the top! And over the top it went! The inside of the vehicle is obviously very roomy, but the system rocks. I would definitely recommend to anyone that wants to get those crisp and clean highs. As a matter of fact, I just bought a set for my 2015 Camaro. I'll review those after they are installed. I have no doubt they will jam!

Kind of pricey for a simple set of tweeters. They are a bit airy sounding but I do like the low crossover point. Nice for front end imaging combined with other speakers. Not fatiguing to the ears I think because made from silk. Also different mounting options is nice.

Alpine tweeters have impressed me with their exceptional sound quality and durability. The high-frequency sounds they produce are clear and detailed, enhancing the overall audio experience. The tweeters are well-built and can handle high power levels without distortion. With versatile mounting options and compatibility with various audio systems, Alpine tweeters are a worthy investment for car audio enthusiasts looking to elevate their sound game.
